HUGE UPDATE 9/9/24: Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi, Short Term 12) is officially directing Spider-Man 4!! He has so much sauce so I'm absolutely happy with this and it has me even more excited for the movie. Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, who wrote the previous 3 Spider-Man films, are also returning to write the script. This gives me a lot of hope that they'll be able to continue the street-level story they set up and we won't have to worry about any more multiverse or Battleworld. Things may be looking up! Original comment: I'll update this comment here if anything changes in the future! Praying that this isn't set in stone and we can get that street-level movie
the director did a great job for most of shang chi but you can see how the higher-ups went "put some big cgi monsters in the final act cuz that will make more money" and the director had to do as he was told and make a good movie much worse because of it. all these directors are competent, it's more of how much control the money hungry freaks at the top will have on these movies and the directions they will go to make as much money as possible. will they let the artists do their jobs or will their shove their deformed tiny pps and force changes according to every single moronic idea they get while having no clue about movie making or based on some stats some nerd gave them telling them this is what works.
Imagine ending NWH with the perfect setup for where everyone wants to see Spider-Man go next, then doing the exact opposite. But remember this is the company that released Morbius... twice. Learning all the wrong lessons is built into Sony's DNA.
@@SammySamSams they released it It flopped so hard it became a meme Sony noticed people were talking about it, so they released it again It flopped AGAIN
@Gyattgirls1 Except Sony didn't capitalize on anything because the only thing they garnered from it was bad press after it flopped again, making them a further laughing stock. It showed how clueless they are, hence my statement: They always learn the wrong lessons. Just look at their entire Spider-Man-less Spider-Man Universe.
The least they can do now is to keep the exact suit from the final swing scene in No Way Home for the ENTIRE movie. That is the most beautiful comic book movie suit.
Nothing wrong with multiverses IMO, we do most likely live in one after all. What there is something wrong with is when the multiverse is so in your face that there’s no time for friendly neighborhood stories.
@@pigflatus7434 why do you defend it so much- it's complete brainrot, the “gedagedigedagedago” of cinema. it's an ultimately tiring concept that gets old pretty fast, unlike something like a cosmic adventure or street level.

@@oldi3Games it was fun at No Way Home but it won’t be fun for a Spider Man 4 movie, plus most people want Spider Man to be street level centered but Sony is too greedy.
Ideally, just have it be like Ant-Man and the Wasp, with most of it taking place before the Avengers movie that came out that year, but the post credit scene ties into the events of Doomsday. That could at least be a compromise between Marvel and Sony, having a street level story be the bulk, but Sony getting that multiverse buzz

We haven't had "a street-level" Spiderman movie in a while. When I mean street-level, I mean Defenders Saga series type street-level/Non-Avengers-level threats cus the Tobey and Andrew movies weren't exactly street-level imo. Only homecoming could qualify as street level and that even had a plane crash at the end.
Exactly! I see people argue that we’ve already have 5 street level movies but they have all been larger than life. Him vs Kingpin would be truly stripped back gritty street level goodness
@MrCJ2005 great idea actually. But that'd make JJJ pure evil. I suppose that makes peter not ending him better. Scorpion should not be the main villain but he should have the Scorpion suit at maybe the beginning of the movie. Then he's a gangster for the rest. That'd be a nice change
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259 JJJ hired him in the comics but not too maliciously but yh MCU take should be diff because of Fisk, connecting it to Daredevil born again would make a lot of sense. I'm still stuck up on how black cat can fit into the story though, what do u think?
@@TheMaskGamer2007 Agreed but I think that’s the direction that’s being headed. Instead of going full on street level. It’ll unfortunately be another multiverse movie.
But like street level doesnt make sense really after all hes in a timeline that was made to forget him plus doomsday and secret wars are around the corner
I was listening to this video while walking and snickered when he said “here’s the thing” cuz I didn’t even need to look at the screen at this point for the bit to work
I just want a movie that feels like an episode of the 90’s Spider-Man cartoon. Not always the world in jeopardy, street level villains and with DD and maybe even punisher showing up.
On one hand, the stinger of the Symbiote seemingly going after Peter means that we'll get a movie that has Symbiote Spider-Man on the Battleworld, like in the comics, which is kind of neat. Never thought they'd actually manage to adapt that in a movie. On the other hand, I kind of miss some of the more grounded ideas Homecoming set up, and Scorpion and Shocker still haven't shown up again despite being teased!
I think a decent compromise would be to do what you said with Morlun, but just have it be about a different spiderman while marvel makes their spiderman 4. But logical thinking isnt the Sony execs strong suit so I can't imagine that'd happen
I think Spider-Man should just not have a role or not much of a role in Doomsday 1. Dr strange 3 officialize that the Multiverse is collapsing 2.Doomsday is a core avengers film, the avengers try saving the multiverse we have the fantastic 4,main avengers maybe Deadpool and loki play a role in this film, then battle world forms (Spider-Man does not play a role or a big role does) 3. Spider man 4, street level story, no miles morales or nothing, just Peter, college, and his ideals, scorpion is the villain sent in by kingpin. The end of the film/post credits shows NYC has also been sucked up into battle world 4. Secret wars,EVERYONE IS THERE, Tom, tobey, and Andrew reunite, towards the end or middle Tom gets a new black suit from a machine 5, Spider-Man 5, soft reboot, just changes things up in the continuity so the new timeline is understandable, Tom realizes the black suit is alive thanks to Reed and we have the symbiote storyline 6.Spiderman 6 is a sinister 6 film I just made trillions
How do these movie studio executives at Sony keep their jobs? Don’t they have to answer to their share holders? Surely all parties involved have seen the poor box office numbers and the negative criticism from fans and general audiences every time they drift away from the guidance of Marvel. It totally mystifies me that an IP with so much creative and financial potential has been handled so badly. Do they not have the ability to learn from their mistakes? Are they really that coddled and cocooned in their Hollywood bubble that they are unaware of the issues or are they too egotistical to care? If this was any other business, they’d be gone. Fired, out the door.
Well, something occurred to me. If we follow the idea of the comic and that the New York area is divided into two equivalents of two alternate universes... Why not make them at least the Spiderman that we saw in No way home? The movie could focus on saving the people of that area (which has a mysterious wall around it that in the post-credits scene they could see what is beyond and see other areas of Battleworld). Throughout the film, the Peter of the UCM would feel increasingly alone and overwhelmed since not only is he in such a surreal situation but he also has no one from his world to be with and share what he feels... while the other Peters still have families and friends with whom to deal with this situation. The Peter of the UCM would feel worse and worse and would even become envious of the other Peters... which would leave him vulnerable for the Venom symbiote (different from the one in the latest movies) to join Peter and make the situation worse. The symbiote could be given to him by Dr Doom so that he himself has control over Peter, manipulating him through the symbiote (which Dr Doom would have controlled in some way). By having the same face and voice as Tony, the symbiote and Doom could have more control over Peter by using that connection... perverting it to convert his loyalty to Doom.
Give tobey and andrew spiderman their own solo movies if sony wants cash grabs and leave tom holland spiderman to do his own stuff. But hey sony have big brain executives that knows how to make money so we should just shut up.
The only way I can see Spider-Man 4 working with multiverse stuff is if it’s a crossover with venom. We don’t need to see him unite with the spider bros again til secret wars or Kang dynasty.
i was okay with spiderman being a street level with SOME multiverse aspects maybe like a confirmation of their universe collapsing/reality glitches or whatever. BUT THIS MAKES ME NERVOUS….
I think we could have both. I would make Spider-Man 4 a darker street level story. Film begins with Tom's Spider-Man in the black suit and he teams up with daredevil to take on Fisk. Have them both be transported to battle world by the end of the film. Street level story continues after Avengers in Spider-Man 5 and Daredevil Season 5.
Honestly, I'd rather have no Spider-Man 4 than a Spider-Man 4 Multiverse story. Like seriously, is a street-level Spider-Man movie too much to ask for these days?
I’m not even a fan of Tom’s version but also legit don’t want this to happen. This frustrates me that Sony are still stuck in their ways and can’t think rationally. Avi Arad is still ruining movie business outside spider man and venom. Just look at uncharted and borderlands. Those were terrible movies.
I'll deadass boycott this. I have no issue missing out on a movie if I don't like how it looks in trailers and this will just be another one I'll skip.
Maybe it would Be a meeting of different Spider-Man variants,by their New Yorks merging with eachother.Like we get MCU Peter to meet otherSpider-Mans/Spider-womans who are like MCU Peter, living alone/forgotten.Like an old man Spider-Man(Old Peter Parker)Who never connected with others after No way home and lives a sad and lonely life,A Spider Man(Ben Riley) who was forgotten by everyone in his life and has regrets(what happened to Peter,it could happened to anyone.Ben Riley is not a clone by the way) and Mayday Parker(Spiderlingto show Peter what his future could had been if he never gone to Strange for help). All 3 of them being supporting characters and also being reflections in what Peter's life could had been like if he made different choices. All 4 Spider Heroes team up to take on the Spider Slayers, who are a bunch of Ghost Riders, lead by a Peter Parker Ghost Rider, who made a deal with the Devil to make everyone forget about Him being Spider-Man(But Because everyone, Including Peter forgot about Peter being Spider-Man,he became a prime target for Mephisto to manipulate him into the Perfect Ghost rider), While Morlun is stalking them from the shadows, ready in case an opportunity arises.
If Sony was so hard pushing Multiverse in SM4. On place of Kevin I would just say: Screw it, We don't make it. I will no ruin our one in a lifetime spider man brand
That doesn't make any sense, Marvel is the one telling the multiverse story. Spider-Man will probably be a real protagonist in Avengers 5 and 6, having a Battleworld Spider-Man 4 helps with his character development in the context of the multiverse saga. The street level thing is just something the Spider-Man fans inside us and some of the executives want, but a battle world movie makes more sense in the context of the current saga.
You don't see franchises like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers going through this Multiverse crap, the Multiverse was a neat idea at 1st but it's only been good a couple of time's and that's it.....Let's keep stuff in thier own universe's please

mannnnn this sucks. it wouldve been cool to see a street level spidey movie. not only cause of the ending of nwh, but cause all the avengers would busy on battleworld so peter would ACTUALLY be on his own. it would’ve been greay
At this point, the only hope we have of a street level Spider-Man and Daredevil team up is if they can somehow include Spider-Man in the second half of Daredevil: Born Again. The first half of the show has already wrapped filming, but the second half will reportedly start filming this fall. It's wishful thinking, I know, especially with Sony practically keeping Spider-Man hostage (I'm not even sure if they'd allow Spider-Man in a Disney plus show, since unlike the movies, they likely won't get any profit out of it), but if they can just get Tom Holland involved, even if it's just for one episode, it would go a long way to acknowledge that Spidey is still very much a street level vigilante.
I really want them to use the Jackal as a villain is a spider island/clone sage adaptation. If Sony insists on throwing all the Spider-folk in to the film do it with a story they aren’t currently adapting in a different film series.
My PITCH for Spiderman 4: What if we kept Kingpin as the main villain, while also making this movie take place in Battleworld? Imagine New York Battleworld being under Kingpin's control, acting as a loyal ally to Doctor Doom. Controlling this territory on behalf of Doctor Doom. The plot would revolve around Spider-Man teaming up with New York's surviving heroes like Daredevil and the other Spider-Men to overthrow Kingpin and the other Doom-aligned villains. Ultimately, Kingpin is defeated, and New York Battleworld becomes a strategic base for the Avengers to regroup and plan their assault on Doctor Doom in Secret Wars.
@@jayguero2123 bro how is rothman still the CEO of sony affter what he did to x-men origins wolverine fantastic four 2 and this spider less universe that aside from venom it sucks ?
Personally, I want to see Spider-Man 4 focus on the Scorpion as the bad guy considering they gave him a setup in Homecoming Maybe you could do the black suit story during 4 too, feeding off his emotions after leaving MJ and Ned. The small amount of symbiote left over from Sony's Venom could need a host to grow and become it's own entity, so no speaking role yet, and that sets up the MCU iteration of Venom for another movie
If Marvel wants to keep up the multiverse story and want to do it justice, they can use Dan Poole, filmmaker and star of Green Goblin’s Last Stand. His story is one for the ages.
I think that they are gonna use venom and the venom hivemind to set up symbiote suit Spiderman ready for secret wars, if they're gonna use that plot thread
A lot of people also don't like the whole Iron Man junior thing and his over reliance on technology. It's like people forget Spider Man actually has super powers. He doesn't really NEED a tech suit. Also Tobey's movies had better fight scenes like the final fight vs Goblin and the train scene vs Doc Ock which was epic
We need more grounded stories before the events of the avengers like some sort of pallet cleanser palate cleanser as things slowly start ramping up to doomsday and secret wars.
How I see it, is they will do the street level stuff in Spider-Man 5 and have Peter still start out street-level in Avengers Doomsday. In Spider-Man 4 they will probably do a story from all Spider-Men's perspectives and see how they deal with the Battleworld and how they can help the little guy in that world. I think it could work and we can still see Fisk in the future.
Another possibility unaccounted for is if in this hypothetical SM4, with the multiverse, that America Chavez tags along as the guest character allá Stark, Fury and Strange
In Battleworld there was a whole area that was two New Yorks.... one 616 and the other half 1610... they could do something with that. And the first secret wars are still good, moments like Dr Doom stealing the Beyonder's powers is great (And for the record, I like the 2015 one better but as someone who reads comics quite often... well, it's not a bad event. original and had quite an impact on the characters who participated in the event
Idk maybe they’ll do what amazing spiderman #251 did where it has its self contain story but in the post credit scene Peter is transported to Battleworld in the original secret wars story where he’ll get the black costume return at the start of spiderman 5 and do the original Symbiote storyline because I’ve been wanting to see that for a long time, no anger issues and having the Symbiote corrupting Peter which we haven’t seen the tom hardy venom Symbiote done before Instead of bringing out Peter’s anger it instead wants Peter to continue being spiderman since in the original story that’s why it hijacks peters body during the middle of the night because it craves the Spider-Man action, we even see this in venom 2 with the Symbiote wanting to stop bad guys and Eddie, not letting it Peter would be the perfect host
To quote Deadpool, cane we just be done with the whole multiverse thing? It’s been miss after miss after miss. Wizard of Oz did the multiverse first and did it best. The gays knew it but you didn’t listen to us

Honestly a battle world based film sounds nice. I thought it was just gonna in Secret Wars only but this puts my faith back into Doomsday and Secret Wars. He knows the consequences of messing with the Multiverses and it might give him fear or hope in the film. Literally anything can be pulled including the street level stuff. This could be a transition film from Wherever he is left in doomsday and that part of where he is in got put into Battle world mixed with other versions of that
Unless you want to wait until after secret wars for a Spider-Man movie, they don’t really have a choice. They can’t get the movie out before doomsday so it wouldn’t make sense for it to take place in a street level New York, because everybody will be stuck on battleworld… we will get a street level Spider-Man with Spider-Man 5 I’m sure.
It’s a joint collaboration. We don’t truly know who wants what. That being said the one multiverse Spider-Man movie made almost 800 million more than the 2nd highest grossing spidey movie. Why would they not try to replicate that?? This movie being part of a bigger universe has to take account for what else is going on during that time. So if it’s battle world, it’d be pretty hard to do a street level story.
There was leaks that daredevil was going to be the next street level superhero and team up with a bunch of street level characters we will probably get something. Like that soon, but it would’ve been perfect for the movie
Other than Spider-Man Beyond the Spiderverse, I'm not supporting whatever the He'll Sony is doing, not only are they ruining the reputation of Spider-Man but we've all been burned by bad Multiverse super hero movie's from Marvel and DC, I really enjoyed Deadpool and Wolverine but I think the Multiverse stuff should end and the superhero genre should go back to More street level or at least more personal character Focused stories rather then just relying on nostalgia bait, Deadpool and Wolverine only worked as good as it did because it was a love letter and a goodbye to the fox Marvel Universe and the spider verse movies work because you can pull off crazy Multiverse things in animation a lot better than live action and also they prioritise characters in those movies more than the Multiverse stuff, I think Spider-Man 4 will do fine at the box office but not great, I'm sure before you know it Sony will give the rights back for a good price of course, because it doesn't take a genius to realise that they are panicking for ideas even more so than Warner Brothers and Disney and that's saying something.....At least most of the shows seem to be going in the right direction
Sony at the end have the last word and absolute power over spiderman. It's shame we didn't get spiderman and daredevil fighting mayor kingpin for part 4
I really think it this movie can be street level but have elements of the multiverse. Now hear me out. Since the movie takes place after avengers doomsday, it can be about the ramifications of the creation of battle world, and how that affects peter and the people of new york. Maybe due to battle world forming, many people lose their homes and love ones. Remember, in the 2015 storyline the parts of the different worlds that didn't combine with battle world was wiped entirely. This can cause outrage and chaos throughout the city, and spiderman is one of the only heroes who can help. You can also have there be an increase in super powered villains throughout the city. With battle world it can allow for various smaller spider man villains sich as rhino, prowler, etc be introduced without really explaining it. Furthermore it can allow for the sony villains, kraven, morbious, abd most importantly, venom to be a part of the movie. And lastly with all of this chaos happening, and with no one remembering peter, he's starts to feel that maybe he should abandon his peter parker identity and be spider man full time. I would also have black cat and daredevil be the main supporting roles in the movie to show that as spider man, he has friends that he can relate to and talk to, but as peter he has no one. Ajd his arc throughout the movie is him realizing he can still build a life as peter parker
The problem here is that the sony sinsiter six lets say are not really that sinister, i don't see why they would be bad. But it would be cool i want so badly to Tom spider-man become the heroe of NY again like in past movies and comics because Tom spider-man is jut recognize to be a random heroe of the whole.
Its most likely going to be something like maybe Dr Doom sends Spiderman to Venoms world where he might team up with Venom to take down knull. The Venom movie could set this up. Which is why maybe Venom was in the end of the No Way Home movie
It’s at this point MCU is 100% gonna soft reboot after secret wars, if battleground is being done in between both doomsday and secret wars, then they 100% rebooting with the upside of soft rebooting we could possibly see peak marvel just like in the comics with Avengers, Xmen, F4 and Spider-Man existing. But cmon Sony we want street level Spider-Man teaming with Daredevil to take on kingpin Spidey-Devil is on my list of spidey team ups next to human torch
Something tells me this has more to do with the multiversal villains than the heroes, like how Morbius and Vulture meet up, or how we saw glimpses of villains like Venom and Rhino towards the end of NWH.
I think that the popularity of Spider-Verse is what caused the big multiverse boom, with every company trying to get in on the trend. Same with how the MCU made a trend of creating an interconnected universe. It’s not unlike the internet. Something popular comes along and tons of people talk about it and make content similar to it. Then, it becomes stale, and no one cares to hear about it. Rinse and repeat.
Imagine an ending fight where dr doom asks if Peter remembers him and takes off his mask and Peter says Tony would never do that and dr doom says Tony’s gone it’s just me and u Peter kinda like the scene in kenobi where him and anakin fight
Hear me out this could sound crazy, but it could be the only way this movie could make sense, I think after the events of Avengers: Doomsday Spider-Man ( Tom Holland ) could have a similar situation on what happened to him in the event of Infinity War, leading the Spider-Man 4 movie focusing more about Toby and Andrew and letting them know more about the multiverse and other Spider-Men In Battleworld like maybe Spider-Man/Miles Morales and SpiderGwen (Emma Stone) and Spider-Man 2099 and maybe who knows superior Spider-Man and other crazy stuff involved in Battleworld or It could be just a mix of Battleworld craziness with a mix of street-level action
This would literally never happen in a million years across a million universes but can you imagine how big brain it would be if it was actually Tobey’s Spider-Man 4 set during Battleworld and Tom’s will still be street level.
They’ll probably just use this movie to set up an avengers movie sadly, now that it’s in the mcu it’ll never be a standalone like spider-man movies pre-mcu
I hate Sony for doing this... it doesn't make sense to be Multiversal because of the sacrifice he made in NWH. It setted up a perfect ground level Spider-Man movie, and now we're immediately getting another big Multiversal story. What's the point of NWH then? I'm not interested in this if it is Multiversal.
Sony pictures needs spider man 4 ever like love and I will always have the up most respect 4 the best coolest strongest number one super hero in marvel comics and the face of the company spider man allways from steven syers in chicago il
at this point i feel like i would have a better time reading spider-man fanfics than consuming whatever marvel is doing with spider-man lately (except USM 2024, i guess)
I believe that the problem lies in cosmic scaled events introduction. As long as Marvel Films stayed on a street-level or approximately so - they could have as many street-level stories to follow up. Then, after a hero goes through multiverse-stake story it is much harder to make a meaningful street-level plot in a sequel. Like "oh, bro went from throwing punches with Thanos to struggling against dude in a Scorpion suit". It is not impossible, they did it right with Far From Home, but they are doing it progressively more harder the more world defying events they introduce. I swear, soon it will be every other week when half of the Multiverse nearly gets wiped. If not already, I really lost interest since the Civil War. Guardians of the Galaxy a banger, though.
the problem is timing, if Spider-Man will be in the next avengers movie than how are they going to tie in a street level story after that, it should have been done earlier
I thought Madame Web had the potential to be a good film, till I heard that the people who wrote Morbius wrote the script for it. I kept holding onto hope that the film would be good... Than I saw it in theaters. I walked out laughing in disappointment.
imagine if Venom was one of the antagonist so the movie is classified as a Multiverse movie because the Venom didn't start from Tom Holland Peter story
Spider-Man’s street level adventures are what made fans fall in love with him in the first place. Tom’s Spidey has had multiple movies of galaxy war trauma inflicted on him. He doesn’t need MORE of that. Sony execs are money-hungry morons.
counter point, i hated how solo spiderman movies were so linked to stark too, that said, peter being in the mcu and not taking part is also a waste of the opportunity with him, im happy with toby and andrews street level movies and id rather get those interactions with all the mcu cast, like if we all put our foot down and say no, a deadpool spiderman interaction might never happen because we stopped the one script in our life time where it could.
I even said that it shouldn't be multiversal. It needs to be grounded, even more grounded than Battleworld. Some people literally think that I'm the stupid one. I get we are in a multiverse saga but I know there are people who also just stick to a specific character in the MCU movies. If they stuck to just Spider-Man movies, Spider-Man 4 should have been its own and be even more grounded. I don't want to see SPUMC, Tobey, nor Andrew again this soon. I really wish Disney gets all live action rights back to Spider-Man. Sony ruined Tobey, Andrew, and Madame Web universes. They will soon ruin their 4th. Only one that actually been working so well is Spiderverse (even though I feel hesitant for Beyond)
Look, if this movie is done well I have no complaints.
the director did a great job for most of shang chi but you can see how the higher-ups went "put some big cgi monsters in the final act cuz that will make more money" and the director had to do as he was told and make a good movie much worse because of it. all these directors are competent, it's more of how much control the money hungry freaks at the top will have on these movies and the directions they will go to make as much money as possible. will they let the artists do their jobs or will their shove their deformed tiny pps and force changes according to every single moronic idea they get while having no clue about movie making or based on some stats some nerd gave them telling them this is what works.
So about that
There is this movie called venom the last dance and it has knull…
So
About your hope that it’s gonna be grounded and won’t have Sony venom
Imagine ending NWH with the perfect setup for where everyone wants to see Spider-Man go next, then doing the exact opposite. But remember this is the company that released Morbius... twice. Learning all the wrong lessons is built into Sony's DNA.

Nothing wrong with multiverses IMO, we do most likely live in one after all. What there is something wrong with is when the multiverse is so in your face that there’s no time for friendly neighborhood stories.

I hope this blows up in Sony’s face. This could potentially be a The Flash instead of a NWH.
I have no idea how Sony's executives can be this disconnected from the people they're supposed to be making movies for

I think Spider-Man should just not have a role or not much of a role in Doomsday
1. Dr strange 3 officialize that the Multiverse is collapsing
2.Doomsday is a core avengers film, the avengers try saving the multiverse we have the fantastic 4,main avengers maybe Deadpool and loki play a role in this film, then battle world forms (Spider-Man does not play a role or a big role does)
3. Spider man 4, street level story, no miles morales or nothing, just Peter, college, and his ideals, scorpion is the villain sent in by kingpin. The end of the film/post credits shows NYC has also been sucked up into battle world
4. Secret wars,EVERYONE IS THERE, Tom, tobey, and Andrew reunite, towards the end or middle Tom gets a new black suit from a machine
5, Spider-Man 5, soft reboot, just changes things up in the continuity so the new timeline is understandable, Tom realizes the black suit is alive thanks to Reed and we have the symbiote storyline
6.Spiderman 6 is a sinister 6 film
I just made trillions

Surely all parties involved have seen the poor box office numbers and the negative criticism from fans and general audiences every time they drift away from the guidance of Marvel. It totally mystifies me that an IP with so much creative and financial potential has been handled so badly. Do they not have the ability to learn from their mistakes? Are they really that coddled and cocooned in their Hollywood bubble that they are unaware of the issues or are they too egotistical to care? If this was any other business, they’d be gone. Fired, out the door.
Honestly, post Fantastic Four I'd really like to see a Spider-Man/Human Torch team up.
If they continue either the current deal where every MCU spider-man movie needs another hero in it, SM5 should absolutely have Johnny
By having the same face and voice as Tony, the symbiote and Doom could have more control over Peter by using that connection... perverting it to convert his loyalty to Doom.
deff should be a street level, spider man in New York movie
Give tobey and andrew spiderman their own solo movies if sony wants cash grabs and leave tom holland spiderman to do his own stuff.
But hey sony have big brain executives that knows how to make money so we should just shut up.
And on top of that some that hate comic book heroes
“We lost, and you said,” “we’d do that together.”
Those were terrible movies.
lol fine, then just don't watch it and go whine in your corner.
Didn't you like No Way Home?
I'll deadass boycott this. I have no issue missing out on a movie if I don't like how it looks in trailers and this will just be another one I'll skip.
Honestly there’s no excuse as to why Spider-Man 4 doesn’t have at least a release date by now.
I hope this isn’t the case
Please don’t do this, Sony. Just have Spider-Man be with Daredevil fighting together against Kingpin…
I definitely will not be there opening night if they do no keep it street level. I’m done if they ruin that set up.

Fans: "Please give us a street-level Spiderman movie! No multiverses!!"
Marvel: "More multiverses? Gotcha!"
Sony and Disney are both to blame.
*Tom Rothman, Tony Vinciquerra and Amy Pascal.

You mean Sony... not Marvel
Marvel had a good idea for once, then the creators of freaking madam web and morbius had to squash the spider
Personally, I want to see Spider-Man 4 focus on the Scorpion as the bad guy considering they gave him a setup in Homecoming
Maybe you could do the black suit story during 4 too, feeding off his emotions after leaving MJ and Ned.
We live in the bad timeline
I think that they are gonna use venom and the venom hivemind to set up symbiote suit Spiderman ready for secret wars, if they're gonna use that plot thread
Hollands Spider-Man rarely gets to stay streetlevel, its so sad. I think its part of the reason why most people prefer Tobey or Andrew.
Hopefully "multiverse story" is just synonymous with the fact that it's Battleword, not necessarily having all the other Spideys

Thanks for the optimism, it’s a nice vid aswell, I'm subed now
Appreciate it!
Idk maybe they’ll do what amazing spiderman #251 did where it has its self contain story but in the post credit scene Peter is transported to Battleworld in the original secret wars story where he’ll get the black costume return at the start of spiderman 5 and do the original Symbiote storyline because I’ve been wanting to see that for a long time, no anger issues and having the Symbiote corrupting Peter which we haven’t seen the tom hardy venom Symbiote done before
Instead of bringing out Peter’s anger it instead wants Peter to continue being spiderman since in the original story that’s why it hijacks peters body during the middle of the night because it craves the Spider-Man action, we even see this in venom 2 with the Symbiote wanting to stop bad guys and Eddie, not letting it Peter would be the perfect host

This could be a transition film from Wherever he is left in doomsday and that part of where he is in got put into Battle world mixed with other versions of that
assumes viewers can read a word per milisec 0:13
There is a pause vedio function on TH-cam. You should try that sometime.
😂 assumes viewer will pause with low attention rate.
the pause function: am i a joke to you?
It's shame we didn't get spiderman and daredevil fighting mayor kingpin for part 4
i hope it is really good!
I really hope they do a street level Spider-Man and this rumor is bullshit
They dont realize how much theyre ruining Holland’s legacy as Spider-Man by continuing to overshadow him with multiverse cameos.
I think we may finally get Spider-Man vs Venom
Something tells me this has more to do with the multiversal villains than the heroes, like how Morbius and Vulture meet up, or how we saw glimpses of villains like Venom and Rhino towards the end of NWH.
9:47 "But here's the Thing..."
That was funny
I got so disappointed with the latest rumors I've heard. I wanted so bad a street-level Spiderman movie :( Can't believe it's not gonna happen
I’m not sure how to feel about SM4 being a multi-verse movie considering we literally just got NWH not even a few years ago.
Who says Andrew and Toby are coming back. They could be connection Venom and Mobius and Kraven
Imagine an ending fight where dr doom asks if Peter remembers him and takes off his mask and Peter says Tony would never do that and dr doom says Tony’s gone it’s just me and u Peter kinda like the scene in kenobi where him and anakin fight
Yeah... What sucks is that this movie will still probably be great but its not what we wanted.
Or maybe it turns out Doom will lose at the end of Doomsday, thus not creating battleworld, and Kang will create it in secret wars.
nah, i heard sony won the argument but tom humbled them so it is actually gonna be grounded
I just hope they use it as an interlude. Then we have the first trilogy, an interlude multiverse movie followed by a real streetlevel trilogy
the problem is timing, if Spider-Man will be in the next avengers movie than how are they going to tie in a street level story after that, it should have been done earlier
I thought Madame Web had the potential to be a good film, till I heard that the people who wrote Morbius wrote the script for it. I kept holding onto hope that the film would be good... Than I saw it in theaters.
I walked out laughing in disappointment.
I have half of a word to respond to this news. FU-
I just want Spiderman vs Venom
imagine if Venom was one of the antagonist so the movie is classified as a Multiverse movie because the Venom didn't start from Tom Holland Peter story
I’ll be honest, seeing the 3 spidermen together was too good not to want in another movie lol
