SUGAR MILL TOUR ...... Queensland

  • The video was taped in Hi8 while we vacationed in Queensland in 2002.....apparently not in Bundaberg as the sub-titles depict.....and thanks to `Mark'..It has now been identified as `Farleigh Mill' in Mackay.

    Yep definitely Farleigh... haven’t seen those 4 tonners in a long time though.

    yeh i dont think this is in bundaberg im pretty sure none of our mills have ever had a double tippler ive worked for bundy sugar for 27 years

      Villiers man, did you know Billy Jensen at all? He was a cane farmer at Kolan and also worked at Fairymead and Bingara mills aswell

      My thanks Mark...I flew over it with `Google' and given the route from the Bruce Highway and the layout of the Plant..I would say that you have nailed it......It was indeed, the Farleigh Mill...... Thanks to you'r help, I have been able to identify the area travelled years ago and and learn more about it...........Regards Gordon
