  • Lerdsila Phuket Top Team showed the world why he is regarded as one of the best Muay Thai superstars of his generation. Putting on a striking showcase in a thrilling three-round affair, the Thai legend was able to soften up Kohei Kodera with powerful kicks to the body. Though “Momotaro” was able to absorb most of the blows, Lerdsila was not to be denied his third ONE Super Series victory as he was awarded a unanimous decision victory.

Lerdsila's always amazing to watch but think about the fact that he's 38 years old, still evading, sweeping and dumping like a master!

Probably taken something like 80% less damage than the average Thai fighter so it makes sense that he can have a longer career.

@@joesheridan9451 that's true, so evasive. Kodera has quick legs, great switch kicks but Lerdsila sees most coming. He also so every spinning elbow and spinning kick long before it arrived.

Mauy Thai fighters are a different breed.. those dudes are rocks with arms and legs. Literally, my dad put me in a Muay Thai class when I was 16 and me being little ol cocky me I was put in a sparring session one day with a guy that have had over 40 fights while I was only “training” for personal purposes.. he basically took 15-20 blows before he started fighting back and did he change me for the rest of my life.. I trained with him everyday from that day on.. he’s now a Muay Thai trainer in Thailand 🇹🇭 and I too have become that Rock.. my best advice if you’re a fighter.. only have intense training! Density in size is key! If you know what I mean! 💪

Momotaro has a lot of technique, but he's a point fighter. While Lerdsila isn't a knockout artist, he's one of the best at depleting their cardio and core damage. Basically eliminating the ability of opponents to pose a threat. He often takes his foot off the gas in the last 2 minutes of the 3rd round. Because he has already won, and if the other fighter still has the will to win - it's completely on them to take it back from him His personal MT style is amazing, and beautiful to watch

Even though I love Lerdsila the fight was difficult to judge. Momotaro was really great. I think it was a draw. Especially 3 round was all for Momo. The first 1-2 was for Mr. Lightning Lerdsila and that is why I think he won. Still great fight for both !!!
