- In the rematch between two ferocious flyweights, Lerdsila Phuket Top Team ended all debate with his second win over Cambodian star Sok Thy at ONE: WARRIOR’S DREAM. The Muay Thai icon put on an excellent striking display, controlling the range with his left hand and landed effectively with straight punches, short elbows and leg kick. By the end of three-round contest, there was no doubt who the victor was as the Thai legend came away with a dominant decision victory.

Lerdsila has officially become my all time, all around FAVORITE fighter.
At 37 years old fighting a 21 year old rising contender, and STILL looking as good as ever.

The absolute opposite of the NA fighters which most have no respect and just anger towards eachother. These guys are giving all the respect to eachother and obviously Lerdsila regarded as the superior and Sok Thy knows it and so gives him the respect that he deserves. Very Admirable behaviour and thats what this sport truely is about.

Even in the UFC it is often only so that the marketing has a storyline that will get casual fans to watch. They will say horrible things but only after talking to the other before and so on. One of the sad facts of life that the money always rewards popularity over any other virtue.

Kun Khmer is what Khmer called it for it's own style. It literally meant Khmer martial art. Both styles have slight differences but Kun Khmer is a small portion of Kun Khmer Boran. And Kun Khmer Boran is a segment of Bokator without the killing moves.
Kinda sad ONE FC doesn't play the traditional Thai music when they fight, one of the best parts of Muay Thai to me.

I could see them doing it for a round every once in awhile as a cool thing to do but more than that would be too much for one FC if you want the traditional music go to the stadiums
This was a good fight to watch The close fighting was enjoyable and sportsmanship along with the respect they had for each other was very commendable. That's what it's about. No egos 👍👍👍

In between rounds, I'm looking in stunned incomprehension at those two women and their odd gestures, realising that somebody has probably choreographed it. The mind boggles.
That man has ultra instinct. Just crazy he goes out there and doesn’t even seem to be worried or anxious at all like he’s playing a game.
Lerdsila is not at full throttle in this fight. He's not using his evasive skills and his sweep kick that much. He went easy on this dude. Respect.

He wasn't went easy on him. He knows that if he messes up then he get the beat. He pretty much fighting for points not to knock out. Sok Thy on the other hand is fight to knockout but he is less experienced. So, this fight comes down to experience vs stamina. If the rounds went 5 then Lerd would be in trouble.
@@maxxibro Lerdsila literally fights with enjoying the fight in mind. He's not gonna pull the same winning combo each time as it probably wouldn't satisfy that fun factor
Edit: you see him play more passive in 5 round fights because he wants to put on a show. He probs wouldn't get knocked out unless he got countered. Stamina isn't a problem for Lerdsila
You have to take into account the age of lerdsila, he just can't have the stamina like a 20yo

For someone known to be a femur fighter, Lerdsila's knees really are a thing of beauty. They way he just pounces into them from range is just mesmerising.

there is no need for intelligent analysis to see the dominance of muay thai compared to silat, just look at the fighter, muay thai fighter is rarely skinny as silat fighters. it's a proof of the tough of muay thai practice. Peace from Lombok Indonesia.

For me I give the “W” to Sok Thy, Round 1- his favour because of clean leg kicks(10-9), Round-2 Could go either way(They both scored Muay Thai dumps so their dumps kinda cancels each other out, Sok Thy scored this round, Lerdsila the next), Round-3 in favour of Sok Thy again because of the leg kicks and imo effective aggression.(10-9 again)
