Taliban have no incentive to attack, they won. Now they want Americans to leave their country. I’m sure they are more than happy to let the planes come and charter out Americans and those who helped Americans.

@John Quarter fight? These clowns let them walk in. Maybe, just maybe it’s the fact that there are about 4000 NATO troops in Kabul and knowing that NATO owns the skies, it’s just smart to let them leave since they won instead of getting merked by the Americans. Again.

Actually, it’s going to be viewed rationally as in... there’s no good way to end your interference in another country’s civil war. The pull out of nam was at least as bad. But all you here about is how we never should have been there and it was a mistake. I think I may have heard criticism of pulling out of there MAYBE once, before this fiasco started. The war on terrorism will be defined and remembered as George bush’s war crime mistake, and maybe Obama’s proving ground for remote ops/drone strikes. Obviously what’s happening right now sucks for them, but it’s in our national interest at this point. The right thing to do and easy thing to do are not always the same.

You should reduce the staff and equipment but leave some there, now, with the talibans in control, with the Afgan army running like chickens..... Russia, China, Iran are laughing really really loud, you give reason to Russia to push more on Europe, China push more on Taiwan, Iran push on nuclear weapons. With this move you make a big mess.
You didn't take a very big thing in consideration: If the talibans they will play like "good guys", give woomans some rights, let the childrens to school, maintain peace etc. you will be really f*ucked up around the world!!!
