    WTG !!!!! I like the way you show the ID numbers!!! I was surprised how high the Indians rang up !!!! Well done !!!!

    • @detectorben8007
      @detectorben8007  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Yeah we have been seeing them come up higher after the update. The very moist soil seems to drive numbers up a bit as well.

      I find that the deeper targets tend to have higher ID numbers. I dug a deep merc today that rang up 29/30 when they are usually 26/27 for me.

    • @detectorben8007
      @detectorben8007  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I have seen that as well. But then again I have seen worn silver hit 24-26 when deep as well. Thats why I will dig just about any repeatable signal if its deep. You dig a little trash but I have pulled some nice surprises as well.

    It never occurred to me to bring a small water sprayer, it's very effective and easy to carry... thanks for the inspiration... Regards Detector from Indonesia

    Good video, but need to only make 3 cuts, U shaped. Cutting out a complete plug usually kills the grass in the plug

    • @detectorben8007
      @detectorben8007  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely. When soil allows I use U shape method. Often times the soil is too loose here and just crumbles when cutting plug. Thanks and HH!

    I just recomend a les t handle shovel! It's so much easier and cleaner to get deep quick. Cheers

      Thanks! I do have a t handle lesche but I rarely use it due to the bad visual it presents. The hand held lesche is much less imposing lol.

    Nice video. Love that you show the VDI numbers over the targets. Do you always run at 7 recovery speed? I always tell myself I'm losing depth at speeds that high. I've gotten used to 5 and done really well, but now I wonder if 5 is too slow to separate targets? Isn't this hobby fun?? Always adjustments to be made.

    • @detectorben8007
      @detectorben8007  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I run 7 most of the time. It has shown be deep enough in my soil to hit the deepest targets here. I also hunt mostly trashy parks and yards. I do knock it down to 5 or 6 if I know there are really deep targets or if I am in a field or low trash area. I have easily hit silver dimes at 10 inches at speed of 7 so I am pretty comfortable running it that high. It really depends on your soil and swing speed though. This hobby is a blast! It has slowly taken over all my other hobbies. Thanks for watching!
