Man thank you for the info in your video….good example of somebody not only showing you a part and what to do with it but explaining why the part needs to be taken care of and how checking other parts could help….thanks man
I cleaned all solenoids and still having the same issue. Purchased all new ones and I'm hoping after installing them my car will run fine again. WILL keep yall updated
The in house filter is just a little bit further up away from the dual linenar solenoid. After a while that filter will break down, fall apart and clog the bypass bolt. other places as well.
Facts, I just discovered that is the cause of the code P0741/40 . I took it apart and found the filter broken down , those bits and peaces that fall apart make the worst clogging substance for the filter it makes it impossible for the fluid to flow..🤧 And that is the worst for those small transmission solenoids.
Just one quick note, Honda says not to "flush". I think you meant drain/fill 3x. Great video! Just discovered those same solenoids on my 2003 Honda Pilot not long ago. The pressure switches as well. Thanks for the upload!
I’m gonna try tomorrow on my 06 accord v6 let’s see what happens ima see if I can clean the filters same thing that’s happening on mine put on drive and reverse and it’s like it’s in neutral already changed transmission fluid twice
Excuse me, which solenoids were the ones that changed, and which fault is the one I had. I have the code p0730 and p0740 and my fault was that on occasions when I was driving, it would start and even if I stepped on it, it would not accelerate and it would not only give in revolutions, it moved. and what values each solenoid must have to know that it is working correctly.
Mine came on after running over a puddle of water could it be a wet connector or dirty fluid ima do the fluid change tmr and clean solenoids any recommendations
My 2009 Scion xB has the same issues. I put on drive and the car doesn’t go anywhere, I have to give it gas then it does a popping noice and the car begins to move after that.
So, has anyone fixed their transmission issue ? What was the fix? I cleaned all solenoids and their screens , tested them with a battery and watch plunger up and down as they clicked. Replaced filter that came apart in my hand. Getting ready to test car, fingers crossed.
I have same code on 2007 Toyota Corolla with only 75,000 miles. I cleared the code and changed one time trans. Oil but it comes back in 2 months. May be I have to change the trans. oil 3 times as you indicated. (The old Trans. oil is not dirty). The car is running normal except the check engine light is on. Any idea?
I have a 07 corolla with the same p0741 issue......on these cars it is rarely the TCC (torque converter lock up solenoid) it is usually the actual clutch in the torque converter AND usually the stator bushings which are in the transmission pump. Here is a link to what stator bushings are.......th-cam.com/video/7LUCeOV1LdY/w-d-xo.html The stator bushings are not too hard to change and neither is the torque converter......you do have to pull the transmission to do them though but your issue will be fixed. there is actually a transmission filter for this car. The TCCS is located under the hose. The one you replaced is the control solenoid valve

Fyi, yes, these cars do have a transmission filter. It's up and to the right of where your solenoid is.

Hey bud! Thanks abunch for sharing this video. You may have mentioned it but i cant remember you saying what you did to clean the screen filters?!?
Ryan Lopez lightly scrape it with a pick and use brake cleaner to clean all residue. Brake cleaner works on the solenoids as well.
