Rice is one cup rice for two cups water. Easiest way is to let the water boil first, then add rice and cook twenty minutes. I always had a hard time with rice myself (even as a forty something adult)- so eventually I got myself a rice cooker. One of my daughters is in her second year of college and she has a “Dash Mini” rice cooker, and it’s amazing. Also! As a women on her own, you should take care when walking/traveling anywhere by yourself. Make sure you’re aware of your surroundings at all times. Try not to constantly have your AirPods or headphones on. You need to be able to hear if someone is following you, or trying to come up behind you suddenly. Take a “Birdie” alarm, or mace spray with you everywhere you go. Let someone know when and where you’re going (a friend or flatmate) that way if you don’t come back by a certain time, someone knows to go looking for you. Keep your phone fully charged, and it won’t hurt to allow yourself to be tracked on the phone by a family member or close friend. Don’t go anywhere at night by yourself, even the library or to do the laundry. There’s loads of other safety tips you can look into to help you. Take care of yourself! If something “feels off” or weird about a situation or conversation GET YOURSELF OUT. I know you’re at university to grow, learn, and be independent, but there are other people who will track you, and watch what days and times you leave your building (like when you have a routine). From a mom- Stay safe girlie! ❤
FWIW, I lived with a musician and never minded when she practiced bc she was so good that even scales sounded amazing. P.S. Are we still dating the boy from boarding school?
