Dude, for having never played any of these riffs before, Claire was crushin' it. I think it would take me a decent amount of time on that last example in particular to get it sounding okay, but she picked it right up; that kicks ass.

I've always felt an intense Origin vibe from those sweeps, so it's funny that she'd be like "I was just trying some Origin the other day" as if that "sci-fi explosion of notes" brand of tech ever really gets any easier hahaha.

Props 🤜🤛 to Claire for mentioning Origin. I’ll never forget back in 2000 when I listened to Origins first album I was freaking blown away and each album that came out after it kept topping the one before it. When I thought 💭 “They can’t possibly get more brutal.” they would make me eat my words. AntiThesis and Echoes of Decimation are probably my favorites. I’ve seen them live 4 times and they play faster live! John Longstreth the drummer for Origin is one of the best Tech Death Metal Drummers (Drumming In General) I’ve ever heard. Watching him live he plays like he’s bored 😐 like what he is playing is child’s play to him. I know he isn’t bored and that’s just his drumming body language from focusing on what he’s playing but it’s like he is a machine. So to wrap this up... Origin is an Original sounding band that I respect very much and I had the same reaction to Archspire as I did Origin the first time hearing them. So to everyone in Origin and everyone in Archspire: Thank you for everything! You guys are a big inspiration to us musicians and make living life awesome!

Archspire is like lvl final boss of any dark souls game
Being that Claire seems to be a fan of Origin, I'd enjoy seeing a "Wrath of Vishnu" episode. In particular the third riff of that song, and the few riffs after the solo are all worth learning.
