    I'm so happy to have found your first 2 CD videos, and I would love to see more. Will you be creating video content for each of the categories you haven't covered yet-spasm/tone resent, strength, breathing, and flexiblity?

    Goodness! I didn't realize you had more videos on dystonia. Watching now. Thank you! I'll be checking back for the specifics of your program. I am currently doing the Farias Dystonia recovery program, which includes eye exercises, breathing exercises, meditation, brain stimulation exercises, music therapy, and so forth. These have helped me, but I'm still struggling and would like to reach the next plateau. Currently I have to hold my head just to walk through my house because of the neck pulling. Thanks for your help.

      Thank you for watching! I would love to take more specific content, certain things that would be most helpful for you? I’m going to do videos on my strength program, flexibility, as well as neuromotor retraining exercises, hope to see you back when I release those.

    Hi- Thanks for making this content available! My dystonia (generalized) is triggered by movement...have you used these techniques to improve patients function when simply moving is what sets it off?

    • @focusrehab
      @focusrehab  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks for watching! The general stress of doing exercises can be a trigger for many, so I recommend starting as gently as possible. Systems such as Tai Chi and Chi Gong can be particularly helpful throughout life for that reason. I believe the long term benefits of exercise are substantial, and find that many of my patients do lose function if we don't stay on top of strengthening and movement, but each person has to find their own balance with it and start very gradually. Do you have a good local provider who can coach you? that would be ideal. Good luck!

      all my experience is with Cervical and some generalized and focal dystonias but not with OMD. They could be hlepful but I'd still recommend finding an expert in that form. Thank you for watching!

      Thanks for this. Your first 2 Dystonia videos are great and this suggested rehab structure is very helpful. I know it's been some time but am sure I and many others would be grateful for any more videos to support as you suggested in this post @focusrehab

      @@focusrehab big thanks for the response. There's so little info out there. Only advice is to get botox - which I may have to have alongside - however, I'm convinced good PT and other actions you mention arei the way forward.
