- Here is the post flight review of the successful launch with 3 different launch video angles and going over the rocket . Motors used is Estes F15 and 4 E12's launching the 3.8 LB rocket to about 750' at the Cato Rocket Club site .
Only problem was the shock cord wrapped aound the fins collasing the parachute . Right before the rocket hit the ground the shock cord freed up and chute started to inflate . The rocket suffered no damged from the landing . - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
Great video! Nice camera angles and good shots of the motor retention system 👍
Thank you ! It's such a fun rocket to fly
Very robust build to have survived that landing. Great video!
Thank you ! Yah just bad luck with the shock cord wrapping on the fin .
Getting even 2 simultaneous solid rocket ignitions is difficult. This is impressive! A feat even professionals struggle with.
Thank you I appreciate it.
MJG Firewire e-matches have made these cluster flights successful every time .
I'm going to upload a video from last Saturday doing more cluster flights with this rocket
Congrats on all five lighting! Whenever I get around to clustering I’ll have to look into those if igniters.
Thank you! I was really excited. I had a smaller rocket clustered with 3A motors and all lit with FireWire . Consistent results
4:00 Awesome launch. Astronaut survived.😮
Any rocket specs, like thrust, weight, TWR???
Back in the day I flew a Loc/precision Viper 3. First flight with 3 D12s went well. Then used 3 FSI motors, 2 catos,1 worked. End of rocket
Oh wow that's rough. Did you get any videos of the flight and cato
@@newtonspersecond no, this was the early 90’s and the FSI motors were old then
This is amazing sooo cool 🔥
Fire up the sky 🌌
Next do a 2 stage cluster withe 3 E motors on the upper stage.😎
Was that 3.8 pounds with the motors or without? I am almost finished with a similar rocket.
That was loaded . Motors , parachute and shock cord harness
That is way lighter than the one I'm trying to build, I might have to put mine on a diet.
@newtonspersecond >>> Great video...👍
Thank you
@@newtonspersecond>>> You're Most Welcome.
Body/motor tubes are inexpensive.
You would have had a perfect fit with your motors.
Not the point of this build . I decided to make this rocket a day before the launch so i used what I had around the house . 3d print a nose cone , saran wrap tubes for motor mounts , ect Staples 4" diameter mailing tube . You are correct those motor mount tubes are cheap but no way to order and get them in a day . This was just for fun and has proven to fly great over and over again
