I just received my M1 ultra today. I was so impressed with your video. I purchased this mashine for the print feature. I have three other Xtool machines. But none of them can print color, as you know. This will save me time from painting details on my project s. Now, with this video, you have shown us an even better way to enhance the quality and color. Thank you! I love your videos. You have taught me so much.
I thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience. Your investment in learning about the capabilities of this little machine has given me the confidence to explore and be creative. Your teaching style is simple and easy to follow. Again, thank you.
Thank you so much for this! Since I saw the M1 printing on wood, I thought there must be an additive you can put to prep the surface, but I had no idea what it could be. This is awesome. I just got my new M1 and can't wait to get started.
Glad you're finding it helpful! I spent hours upon hours Daaayz testing, and trial and error making this video so I could bring it to you all in a clean informative way.! So you dont have to putz around and can right to making!
Ahh, i love your tutorial! I was frustrated with the print results and i am glad i stumbled to your channel. This is very helpful and motivating. Thanks so much!
Awesome Channel! Thanks for all your content and insight. My wife and I just ordered a M1 Ultra. We can't wait to get it and start implementing some of the ideas and techniques you have shared. Keep up the good work. We really appreciate your time and knowledge!
The ink aid looks fantastic! Could you paint the whole surface, then print several ornaments on one sheet and then cut? I would think that should speed up the process? Thanks, your videos are always helpful!
You could in theory, but if there is any Charing around the edges of the cut, your going to have a hard time getting that off without smearing the the unsealed ink, keep that in mind.
There is no need to use Inkaid on a UV printer, as UV printers can already print on almost everything, dud to the nature of how they work, the ink is dried and cured in milliseconds on a UV printer so that's how it works. Does that help?
I am a m1 Ultra 20w user. I was worried because I didn't like the printing quality, but thank you for uploading a wonderful video. I was going to use the spray used for doll repainting, but I'll have to compare it using this product. But in Korea, it's too cumbersome to buy these ingredients. And I'm using it very comfortably with a cheap transparent cross-sectional adhesive mat for silhouettes on top of the mat. You will be satisfied if you try it.
Yes!! THIS is what I needed - I've been so frustrated with the quality of the prints and the printer head has been just a paperweight. Now I'm amped to give this a try. As always, Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge and tips.
Hey Lori! I just picked the winners for the InkAid Giveaway and you were one of the two! Send us an email at laserengraving911@gmail.com so that we can ship it out to you! Congrats again!
Gotta say I have the regular M1 and not a fan of it, my F1 is better. When I seen the ultra come out the print head was the only nice thing I liked. No one else I’ve seen has talked about cleaning, pre printing or anything, so while I won’t buy this machine ever, I had to truly say thank you for being informative. 🙌
Thank You for all your very informative videos. I am totally new to the whole laser thing and recently purchased the M1 Ultra 10 watt. Your videos are very helpful for me.
Thanks for all the great tips. I was just going to dive into printing on wood and was planning to use gesso. I am so glad I saw your video with a better option.
Thank you for the wonderful information. I just received my new M1 Ultra and can't wait to use the color ink with the great tips you gave using Ink Aid. Also, thank you for the tips on the print head and cartridge. Looking forward to learning more great information. Liked and Subscribed.
This was a very helpful and informative video I learned a good bit of information. I will definitely be getting some Ink Aid that will come in very handy I never heard of it until I seen this video. Thank you for sharing!
I'll definitely be investing in this inkaid stuff later on when all the materials and accessories arrive by next week. Just got the main unit setup and the ap2 purifier plugged in and ready to learn the software and do some test cuts and engraving! New to your channel and content but I'll stick around and learn all that I can!
I just got my m1 Ultra the other day and I'm loving it so far. Having tried the print function yet tho. Thanks for the tips on how to keep it moist (didn't notice the foam in the cap) and how to fix clogs! Can't wait to try it out soon. I've just been busy engraving so far :)
Hey! Hope you've been enjoying your m1 Ultra. You're one of the winners for the InkAid Giveaway! Send us an email at laserengraving911@gmail.com so that we can get it over to you! Congrats again and we hope you'll get some good use out of it.
As always, a very informative video . May I suggest using a product called Quake Hold vs blue tape. It sticks great, pulls off easily, leaves no residue and you can reuse it, your stuff will not move.
At around 3:10 you mention that you will share a link to the test print page in the description, but I can't find it. Is there a link or a file that can be used to ensure the color is flowing well? Thanks!
@@LaserEngraving911 I had become a member and downloaded the "xTool M1 Ultra Project Files" but didn't see a test print page. Nothing else looks applicable. :(
Thanks heaps for your video. I have the 20watt version but I really haven’t had time to play yet. 1 question that I have is what ink cartridge is compatible with this machine? I think I heard about it once but I have forgotten and that would definitely be good to know.
Wow, this is just the video I was looking for: something that helps me understand what kind of print quality I can expect from an M1 ultra using primers. Thanks so very much! But one question remains: why did you cut out first and THEN print? Doesn’t it make more sense to print first and then cut without taking the material out? No need for aligning etc…? Or does the cutting sludge impact the print quality?
I just sold my Cricut Maker and purchased the M1Ultra. Your videos are so helpful and detailed that my level of anxiety is decreased. Thanks so much!

Hello from UK, I love your videos and waiting for more ideas, thanks!
So glad you share the color enhanced spray.
Also, I was thinking of adding the m1 but not sure it will work for commercial used 🤔
It depends on what you're looking to make, the m1 is great for a lot of applications.
Thank you also your jacket is great.
You're welcome! Thanks for noticing. Its my fav winter Jacket :)
Awesome content, will definitely have to try this with my M1 Ultra. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks for watching and I hope it helps you get some great results!
Merci beaucoup pour ces conseils !!!
Just got the wife the M1 ultra and this is a good video for her and how to use the print head on the M1 Ultra.
Hope she enjoys using her new machine!
The ornament comparison is amazing. The ink aid one looks almost like it was printed on photo paper in comparison
It sure does make a difference, for sure!
Always great stuff! Would love to try the InkAid.
I hope you have a chance to try it, it makes color prints so much better!
Amazing! Thank you for this information
My pleasure!
That is really incredible. I work in color management and profile printers. Does this module use ICC profiles?
its pretty basic, but gets the job done, dont think it has profiles.
M1 is interesting, not sure I am in need of one yet as I have several cutters and their attachments. I just converted into the laser arena

not sure if there is a generic brand that is compatible, the ink is not very much from xTool I would just get it from them. Thanks for commenting!
