Fun fact, smoke doesn't really calm bees down or make them sleepy. What it does do is heavily scent the air, masking the pheromones released by bees when the hive is being invaded. Without hearing any metaphorical alarm bells, they remain more or less unbothered.

watching rt, someone who doesn't have a lot of knowledge about this game playing it, made me realize i play stardew valley as an absolute mad person. i play with 7 wiki tabs open, taking notes, a spreadsheet of best crops each season like..... completely unhinged

May I perhaps suggest a modded Stardew Valley for you? It might not be such a bad idea if you're feeling this unwell, honestly. The base game can unfortunately be quite taxing, with some tasks being simply unenjoyable when you're on the clock; sometimes it can even seem like even more work, which can be detrimental for perfectionists or people who just cannot spare the time to invest in such a timesink. There's a lot of mods that make SV more immersive or make some tasks a lot easier and intuitive. You could also theoretically straight up cheat, but I reckon this would not be your style. If you want some tips, I would be willing to give you some directions. Because I get how you feel, it goes the same for me.
@@Charbonsteam Thanks for the offer! I've actually just had the game modded; simple things to make the routine more enjoyable. It's definitely making me want to play more. I might not be going too deep in the mines yet but interacting with villagers/exploring the town has been a blast.
@@AranolessThat's good to hear, and I agree it's really fun. Sometimes I stop playing SV for quite a while before I inevitably pick it up again, and get super obsessed with it...again. Some ideas for mods which make some things easier (just in case you haven't installed them): 1) Automate (very useful, for recycling trash automatically for example), 2) CJB Show Item Sell Price (shows price not only for a single item, but also your entire stack in your inventory), 3) Let Me Rest (you can rest on benches, chairs etc. and regain a bit of stamina that way), 4) NPC Map Locations (self-explanatory), 5) Part Of The Community (makes it easier to become friends with the local villagers, but still doesn't break the game), 6) Loved Labels (if you wish to raise animals, it makes it easier to see which ones you petted and which ones you didn't). And if you want an extra challenge, you could try Stardew Valley Expanded, one of the best mods out there. But the incredible amount of content could potentially be too time consuming and ruin the flow of your game, so I would advise against it for the time being. Another one I really like is the Love Of Cooking mod, which allows you to have an extra skill set for cooking and completely changes the way you cook ingame.
Except for Love Of Cooking (where you need Json Assets), all these other mods don't have any co-dependencies ^^

I have played for 6 years and I actually never figured out of the bundle icon shortcut untill now, since I never used the trash bin so I never thought to look at the right side of my inventory
1:57:08 You should definitely give it a shot; they updated the caves, the oceans, the villagers, the nether, the game engine and coding speed, they added all sorts of stuff since 1.7. Polar bears, nether boars, non-zombie pigmen, fireproof nether trees, massive amethyst geodes, two new types of cave, scenic mountains to make skyrim proud. I'd suggest looking at the update videos people have done since 1.13, as that's when the updates started to ramp up.
Watching these streams made me buy the game and I love it! I'm not as chaotically efficient as RT but I'm doing good 😅 I just built a coop and next I'll get a silo and some chickens!

No, you plant trees as soon as you get them, no matter what. They grow in all seasons but winter. You just won't get fruit out of them during their off-seasons.
