people are disrespectful to judges every day. Calling them by their first name is a no-no. Call them the way they want to be addressed. But this dude, has no manners.

If I were that man, I would've addressed the judge as either "Judge Lauren", "Judge Lake", "Ma'am", "Ms. Judge Lauren Lake" or "Your honour".

The plaintiff is very disrespectful. There is no way he did not know he could not call the judge by her first name she should have thrown him out of the room immediately.

Judge Lauren is very patient and awesome. He is lucky it's not Judge Judy; she would dismiss his case and escort him out with the speed of light.

What a nasty nasty person, the way she turned on her future sister in law, and went on the trip, and then the mouthful, your definitely better off with out that women. Sad. As it was your best friend, even a blind man could see it was not your fault, it was your brothers.

I don't like Judge Lakes attitude in this new program. She's a bit too short imo.

She is a judge and in the regular court, the do act like this in city court. I used to work in a city courthouse. Judges can act any way they want, for they earn that right. 7 years of college education, 4 years interning in an attorney office, and then the law career begins.

@trekgirl65 in a regular court, she wouldn't be depending on ratings.

@@nastusalmander to each their own. I can watch Paternity Court all day every day even thou I've watched all the episodes. This thou I have to watch in pieces. Some of these episodes I skip because her attitude is off putting to me.

@@Talishadra19I felt the same way but I thought I was alone. She has somehow lost that "humanity" touch. She is much harsher and sometimes sassy in this show. But I still enjoy her wisdom. Some cases she handled with so much wisdom I was in awe.
