"Classic Snatch" - too direct translation from Russian. We call Snatch and C&J as "classical", two basic movements. Any other variant of this movements is a deviation from basic movement, like hang snatch or snatch from blocks. "Snatch from plinths" - is actually snatch from blocks.

There have been other developments since last month - a former member of kazakh national weightlifting team (former Asian champion) committed suicide, chief national coach and hist deputy are suspended, there is an ongoing criminal investigation, deceased athlete's family members are blaming the coach and authorities that the guy was basically abandoned.

Strictly speaking, it's called a biathlon in German, just the translated version of that.
And the total in powerlifting would be the triathlon.
    The more you know.

So serious hypothetical question. If someone were to throw their health and longevity to the wind in pursuit of being the best weightlifter they could be, and absorbed enough stanazolol to outshine the sun, would training Bulgarian be the best way to train ? 😏🤣 IN ANY CASE ?

Yes for drug lifters high frequency like the Bulgarian method is way better.

Bud Charniga is bizarre in that he knows an absolute ton and has helped WL tremendously with his translations, but on the other end some of what he personally espouses doesn't make a lot of sense and was possibly harmful to people coming up back then trying to figure the sport out in the mid 2000s/early 2010s, as in, no accessory exercises and stuff like pressing will ruin your jerks, etc. Tremendously hated on Toshiki Yamamoto, too, haha. Weirdly where he does know his shit and I 100% agree with him is his posts on injury prevention and not taping ankles and hacking out bodyparts for knee replacements, etc.

    Honest Q?
When someone does compound movements that involves plenty of core activity you expect that person to have atleast flat stomach.
But how can for example you,Zack Telander and i think your close pal Gabriel have belly.
Is your diet all around or smh.
For example Clarence Kennedy is ripped amd he does same explosive compound movements like you.

@@nemanjag1812 you are obviusly sarcastic and aware of clarences ped use which confuses me even more since nobody can be dumb enough to assume he is lean because of his genetics and not drugs. Nobody lifting 200+kg over their head can be that strong and lean at the same time without peds.
