I'll never understand why other extreme sport videos get hundreds of thousands of views and hang gliding never gets the love it deserves. This is one of the most glorious sports out there and just cannot beat the freedom it provides that so many will never experience.
I was working hard tonight on a project and was really boring. I checked my mails and find a "shared pins" notice. I followed the notice and finally find this video after amazing,awesome hang glider captures and pictures. I'd like to say big thank you with my fullyheart to all crew who are effort to recording this video. I can't find any words about fantastic work because of while I was watching aerial scenes took me away in to deep bluesky....with perfect match Pink Floyd. Thank you once again.

Ariane thanks :) IT was indeed filmed from a true helicopter with a special stabilized system for the camera. Actually, it was a leftover video footage from a project we were filming and I thought it was too good to be left behind :) See you in the sky ;)

Hi, it was because we thought it will be better for our sail plane landing project, giving me some more space behind. Glider flies normally, I felt a bit less of bar pressure because CG moved a bit.
Matjaz Klemencic Fascinating. Thank you. I've often wondered at the reason for retaining that big long tube out the back. Unless one wants to use a tail to prevent PIO during take off under aerotow, might as well chop it off?

Was this filmed from a drone? Where was the camera operator? If the person filming was on the ground, at what kind of distance and altitude can the drone be operated?
