Incredible piloting skills my friend 👊🏼 I’ve only got about 20 or so hours of coastal HG flying, but I have over 12 years of all areas of Paragliging behind me. We have just employed a HG instructor here at our school in Aus, he’s been giving me and my other flight instructor lessons when it’s been quiet business wise.. I absolutely love it!,, it’s just such a different sensation then paragliding, and as much as I love PG flying in really digging any chance I get to get up on the HG for a fly 👌 Amazing piloting once again and huge respect from Australia my friend 👊🏼
I had some great speedruns in Jackson Hole back in the days before GoPro, but nothing like this. Super cool to be so low and fast for such prolonged periods, great run !!!

Welcome Back Wolfie!! :-D Life under lockdown is more manageable now! Can you perhaps add some instrumentation on your next flight? Would be rad to see the speeds you attain.
When the air is calm, one can land like a bird, even in a rock-strewn dry torrent-bed (I’ve witnessed this). But when the air is turbulent it is another matter and some landings can be dangerous and require great skill.

Samir dz, I feel 99.5% certain that you will not hear from him. He’s not good at responding to comments on his videos, which sucks. But one of the big DON’TS in hang gliding is about crossing water bodies. Never cross water bodies because the machines have no engine. If you lose liftwhile crossing, you could descend to agonizing death. A hang glider pilot lost his life within the past two years when he flew almost 10 miles into the sea. I don’t know what went wrong, but he plunged into the sea and was dead by the time rescue workers arrived. If you ask me to theorize, I belive he lost thermals and went down as a result.
How much of this flight is flown downwind at high speed and what is the VNE of the glider? What was your top estimated ground speed? Great job. Must be a fast glider because you really had to run out that landing!
