For someone who isn't a natural english speaker, Albert is phenomenal at telling stories. He's an incredible inspiration

That’s awesome to hear man, and just like baseball & sports practice makes perfect! Don’t shy around from working on your English even if stupid ignorant people make fun of you just keep working at it! I love getting to talk with bilingual people & they share with me words from their language I don’t know while I try to share words from the American/English vocabulary to help them learn the language! Love to hear Albert is an inspiration, I’ve always felt he worked hard to learn the American language and has never been hard to understand. I’m sure you are better at English than you think!

For arguably the greatest First Baseman of All Time, right up there with Gehrig, his humility is more than refreshing. Albert Pujols is a Hall of Fame human being. Forget all the stupid allegations of Steroids and being old than listed. Pujols is a special person. He really does feel like a reincarnation of Gehrig.

Ryan hits the nail on the head, when do we get to hear 2 HOFers just shooting the shit talking about their rookie years & getting their first suit bought for them, then they pay it forward and buy suits for their rookies! This is such a cool experience for us fans listening & watching, we have 2 guys we know will be in the history books as HOFers and our kids/grandkids will watch highlights & ask how good they were! To hear them talk about game makes it special - thanks for sharing!

This convo is pure baseball gold. Also the fact Albert freaking Pujols mentioned Todd Helton as one of the best hitters he's ever played against was just awesome. Todd was always one of my favs! Its kind of mind blowing one of rhe greatest hitters in mlb history thinks so highly of him!

    Great Bob Feller anecdote.
Also really startling to hear CC drop f-bombs. Ballplayers are usually so cliche and family-friendly in interviews. Refreshing to see this more casual side.

Day before Easter 10 years ago I went to a game between the Cards and Astros, at this point 4 years removed from the Brad Lidge homer. Roy Oswalt was pitching for Houston and they were in the NL still. Oswalt was throwing like Oswalt, dominate at times and scary the rest. Load em up and in steps El Hombre. For non St. Louis savvy folks, Big Mac Land homers grant ticket holders a free Big Mac. BOOM!!!! My man gets his Grand Slam and I get my crappy burger I used to adore. Starting pitchers weren't pulled after 1 run in the 3rd in those days, so Oswalt has two men on and gets Albert again. All I can ask now is, why in the hell would you pitch to him again. The MVP crushes a 3 run shot. Albert puts together a string of great defense and hard fought off junk pitches. Just a glimpse I the every day of Pujols fans in the first 11 seasons.

I got to see pujols hit 3 bombs in 06' on easter sunday. the last one won the game. those were the days. I'm glad we were able to see greatness in STL for that long. I think that's why we've struggled to find top tier talent since he's left aside from Yadi...

It was just a matter of turning over the line up and getting him up with enough men on base, always so clutch. So greatful for those years

Albert really might be the most successful low draft pick in the history of sports. 401 fucking people drafted ahead of him I can’t even believe it. Brady too but damn man Albert proved so many people wrong
