I Sparred today with an injured right bicep so I know the feeling You can only use your lead hand Jab and hook and defend so much. If your opponent is on your level he will catch up to you sooner or later because you are basically at 50% and become one dimensional And overeem already had a huge size advantage over saki Much respect to saki to still take the fight with a broken arm with an intend not only to defend but to win through ko
There are 3 matches in Gokhan's career which is so unlucky. This is one of them. Injury stoppage. The other is with Bonijaisky. The other with Hari. And the last one is a stolen one from Saki vs Verhooven.

Saki is a heavyweight too you know, 95kg+ is all the sam category.. Yes Overeem has some advantage in height & muscle, but Saki has speed & explosive power too.

with all that can happen suddenly in boxing alone... adding on kicks of which are obviously more thrustful and are harder to visually see coming than punches themselves... here's a bout that provided some curiosity into that concept. .
That version of Overeem was already a shell of his former self. A younger Overeem was much more dynamic. This version of Overeem just walked down the much smaller guy and looked for a couple of good shots.
