    I used this tool intuitively without knowing. I'm glad I was using it right. I also use it to shave/trim down calluses on my hands. I've used it also to shave down real thick and dry scabs, after a wound has healed up quite a bit. These are the types of scabs that hurt because they are too thick and dry.

    This video shows you cutting the proximal (nail fold). This is living skin, and shouldn’t be trimmed. You are NOT trimming the cuticle. Please educate yourself on the topic. This is misleading.

    • @MrsHall38
      @MrsHall38 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Can't you just push the cuticle back? I'm asking because I literally just bought a kit today to do my nails and this is in it and I've never used any of these tools before other than a cuticle pusher..

    • @eodlwl
      @eodlwl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@MrsHall38 yes. Its actually recommended to not cut your cuticles. Just push it back. It's very risky to cut your cuticles as it can allow bacteria to enter. I think I actually have a nail infection because of that but I'm not sure

    Not a nail technician but hours upon hours of research for the past 2 years and self taught. That layer of skin you cut off is the eponychium correct and above that is the promixal fold isn't it? I thought you go under the skin and the cuticle us actually the layer sticking to the nail bed. And youre not supposed to cut that layer on top (eponychium) because it promotes bacteria and infection once removed.

    Is cuticle cutter is painfull while removing cuticle

    • @DipWellNails
      @DipWellNails  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Using the cuticle trimmer is not painful, only use to trim off excess cuticle skin. Be careful not to over-trim your cuticles to avoid unwanted cuts. 💕
