It's amazing how a show without any major drama can be so entertaining.
Um no. It freaking WEIRD. Why is she being all weird about the food like she’s getting turned on by it? Lol there’s no reason to explain every last bite, or even go into that much detail about it for that long. Who ever wrote this is a weirdo perv.
Then the dude creeping on her is unsettling like he’s ready to have his buddy give him fellatio under the counter while he looks at her as she is perving out on eating her food. Lol This is far from being amazing, amazing would be something like The Walking Dead or something. This is just bizarre

Probably because it's something that would appear on Food Network or whatever the equivalent is in Japan.
Because it's advertisement for the restaurant industry.
That's what makes it so enjoyable. No heart dropping drama or big problems to fix.
In a way, many of us can relate. After a long day of work, or maybe school, a good meal with the right drink can invigorate the soul.

I feel very happy and grateful that this channel exists and uploads so many different Jdrama.
I was a bit sad for awhile because I couldn't find any Jdrama to watch. I watch Jdrama as a way to relax.
Its nice that there's a lot of uploads of only episode 1 of shows so I can easily just try them out and then choose the ones I like the most later.
I have seen some people complain about it in the comments of other videos but I find it very convenient for me. I don't feel like I have to commit to a series this way. Which I know must sound strange to others.

Watched this because I ate salmon today. Remembered when I first watched this as an anime in 2011, the first episode was a salmon. Lol so my craving got to me today.

Japan is hilarious this way. I'm not one who has watched a ton of TV despite having lived there, but I remember watching a fun series sponsored by the Japan Bowling Association, or whatever it may have been called, and it seems like that type of thing isn't at all uncommon there.

Is it good? My Japanese level is N3. I took Japanese in college. I want to start watching some Japanese drama to practice my Japanese. Its just that most Japanese dramas I seen over the years are boring. I used to watch a lot of Korean dramas growing up, but now I mostly watch Chinese drama. Plus I learned 3 years of Mandarin in high school and college.

This is definitely my favorite 'food porn' series. ^_^ I despise product placement, but I loved this series so much, I ended up going to some of the places mentioned in it when I traveled to Tokyo. Brilliant stuff! ^_^
As far as I know, the original manga was produced and/or funded by a tourism agency, so, this is made as entertainment as well as a way to promote tourism, that's the reason why this is made like that, it can look the same, but, it's in a certain way different from those films where their product placement is forced and a distraction from the story.

The salmon looked nice on the service shots but looked very dry when she was eating it. Probably due to it sitting around due to production shot time. Asparagus is a notoriously hard food to pair with alcohol of any sort, but especially hard with sake. Ethanol has a habit of making it smell like piss unless you pickled the asparagus...so kinda surprised they brought up that paring.

why is this ads concept drama so popular in japan? i also notice kodoku no gurume have the same concept. but anyway, i always enjoy j-drama about food
This is a diametric opposite, or complimentary of Kodoku Gurume. In that one, Goro is a big eater, a fan of plain rice along with his fish and a strick Tetotaler. Goro is a bachelor who seems to be self employed or a 'field' salesman as opposed to office drone
This one, we have single working woman, who is a beautiful office drone, who eats in small portion (and no rice, as was normal for women these days), drinks 1 or 2 glass of alcohol ( the only way to enjoy alcohol, any more you might get tipsy and its no longer fun) and are not ashamed to properly taste her food to the fullest.
This is a solid performance, with the food leans more into fine dining experience as opposed to 'comfort food' in Solitary gourmet.

Wakako, from the anime, is very goofy, and kind of like an oddball, with an attitude. The Wakako here is very "normal".

take a shot of vodka every time she says the word “sake” you’ll be absolutely sht faced in under 30 minutes.
this was honestly a good idea itself but the result was a louzy try to make something similar as "kodoku no gurume" (solitary gourmet) only drink focused and with a female.. but both the manga and tv show of solitary were better and the character less "forced" if you get what i mean.
Wakako kaze was a good try and i think it could have woked out much better if done with more effort.
For what she spent on rice wine and salmon in a single night, a small family in the 3rd World could buy enough food for a week!!
