The way that woman translates was one of my biggest frustrations when I first lived in Korea.
They can't take themselves out of the conversation and just translate what you say to the other person. Instead, they decide what they think it would be preferable that you said and then say that.

I'm biracial Irish/Chinese, my grandma was full Chinese, and her skin was amazing until like the age of 79. If you like Korean comedy, this movie is pure comedy gold. The actors do their parts brilliantly, and Shu Qi is perfect for her part (though I guess I have a crush on her, so hardly an objective opinion). The movie can be a bit hard to get hold of, depending on your location, but well worth the effort! :)
