Just got the 2017 with 35km on it. Super comfy car but gas mileage is terrible - getting 14L/100km here in Canada. Definitely recommend the ZZ2 CarPlay system - works well.
ill add a more reflective ownership review. i have a 2016 is300awd fsport. bought in 2021 with 50k mi (80k km). Car is currently just under 210k km (125k mi). Still on original rear brakes, 3x brake service to the front with one rotor replacement in that, diff and trans drain and fill, and otherwise just regular oil changes; also did plugs at 200k km. The issues: I had a differential pinion seal leak around 160k km. $13 seal from lexus but $1000 repair job maybe less. I have mechanics in my circle so I paid...pretty much free. Secondly I had the water pump make noise within the first 10k km of owning the car. This was replaced under Lexus' 6 year warranty. Third, the radio headunit has shit the bed recently and the amp has an issue since early into ownership (not enough to matter). Replacement headunit is 10k from lexus, amp is 3k. No one ever buys new, you just get remanufactured or get yours repaired from speciality shops. I also have inner tire wear. I did the RCF LCA bushing upgrade which helps the issue but doesn't get rid of it. All in all, the car has costed me around $1000 in non-maintenance items per year-ish. Not bad. And yeah fuel economy is trash but I drive hard. Of the issues my car had, tires are a known issue on all IS models even from the 2IS. Radio issue is well documented as is a matter of time for all of these cares. Pinion seal was the real odd ball
as for gas cap, it's the cable thing that attaches to the gas cap. Happens to mine to. It just gets in the way. just move it out of the way and it closes fine.
could you make a short video explaining the functions of base model infotainment screen. and how it compares to the higher model options with the cursor.
Nice Vehicle, im in the Market for a Newer IS. I know nowadays people are willing to Steal anything. But have you had any issues with that? In actually trying to stay away from the F-Sport Package
@@hamzalawal9631 bro you can do it it wasn’t really that expensive find a one owner car I believe you will be driving one ☝️ and if you want the best hp go with AWD it’s still taking time to get use to it but all around great
@mastachi888 I understand, but I live in a third-world country, and this is super luxurious here. I recently lost my job trying to find another so I could maybe buy a 2014 Camry se. I also love that car too. Maybe one day I will be able to afford an IS
@@Fbyota no they don’t fix it 🤦🏽I don’t drive the car that much it just been sitting in my parking lot but when I take it to the dealership these f*ck*rs always try to charge me an arm and 2 legs🤦🏽I took it in today after watching ur video they tried to sell me 4 tires for $1800 and a lot of unnecessary work😂
Inner tire wear is an easy fix, replace the lower control arm bushing with either the RC F bushing or a even sportier r racing or super pro bushing. Not too bad to do it yourself but even at a shop it shouldn’t be much
@@Fbyota Thanks! I like the way your car sits and want that for mine. 1. What brand of spacers did you get? 2. Does it rub? 3. Is your car lowered and how much?
@@blazano7487 thank you brother! Thinking about going in springs or coils eventually. I can’t remember the exact brand but they were purchased on Amazon and they actually don’t rub!
I’m a 18 year old trying to finance a 2015 Lexus is350 f sport 6-speed AWD, but I’m scared of the transmission and can’t find much about it. I’ve tried researching about it and can’t find nothing. Is the 6-speed awd a good transmission? Where I live it snows a lot!
It is. Honestly toyota makes one of the, if not the best 6 speed single clutch automatic transmission. It lacks in shifting speed but its very reliable.
That transmission is practically bulletproof. With minor adjustments the engine and trans in the 3.5V6 cars is the same as the Tacoma. It’ll shift smoothly at 400k miles, don’t worry about it.. Just don’t get in over your head on financing at 18

Bro nice IS! Are you running 20mm spacers for the front and rear? Are you on lowering springs?
Thank you! I currently am running 20 mm spacers on front a rear. No springs yet! Debating it the roads by me can suck 😂

Yes of course. I’ll make sure to get on that.
Very helpful review. Thanks

Thank you! I actually haven’t luckily. I love the f sport but they would definitely be a bigger target if your worried about that.
Dream car
Did you change the bushings for the front and rear?
Bro, this car is the ultimate goal for me
Just bought the 2019 AWD f sport is300 and it’s amazing

A week of ownership i had the same problem with my gaz tank as well🤦🏽also dealing with inner tire wear out as well which is annoying
The rr racing bushings helped me so much. 100% look into it. Your lexus dealer fixed it for free im hoping.

Yeah fuck that you should look for a trusty mechanic in your area or see if there’s another lexus dealer around you that may be more helpful
