This video is the only reason I was able to figure it out much appreciated
Ryan I am super glad I was able to help you and my video reached you. Thanks for your comment and hopefully I can continue to help you and others. Have a great day Ryan!
keep this up love to see the lexus mods! not many people have videos on modifying the lexus and you have the stuff keep it up! 🙌
Thank you I truly appreciate this!!! 🙏 I’m trying my best and need to keep it up for my subscribers
Planning on doing this on my IS300 sometime soon.
Nice! It’s well worth it and glad that my experience and this guide will help others. Sub for further guide, coffee and car content. I also noticed you game and play F1. I have a gaming channel check it out. Search for NovusBtech
They dont have it for is 300 2017+ models
Hey so I left a question a month back about mpg, thank you for responding. You mentioned how the additional hp helps move such a heavy car, I can wee what you mean. Is that still true? Have your mpgs stayed consistently up? Or have you noticed a drop since your last response
Hey 👋 you’re very welcome!
Yup! Still true! Mpgs have stayed up and the same consistency remain.
amazing vid planning on doing the same for when I get mines I just was wondering does it bounce off limiter or it shifts by itself in manual mode
@@wilzy8683 thanks! Unfortunately unless you completely have the car in full manual mode it does upshift on its own. I have only been able to get the car in full manual mode once and to be honest it was right after doing the tune and tons of forum ready. I don’t even remember how I did it but it was the only way I was able to get my car to hit the 7200rpm limit set by the RR Racing tune.
Did you just get the tune or did you anything else like a new exhaust or intake? Planning on getting it for my 16 is300 awd and just wondering cause I dont want to spend 400+ just to end up finding out that you need a intake at least 😂. Any advice would be helpful
I got the Lexus F Sport intake which comes with the FSport filter and bought the Remark car back exhaust. Also did the step colder spark plugs which I bought from RR Racing along with the tune because I wanted to make sure I got the most out of the tune. I couldn’t be happier and no way could I go back to driving a stock Lexus.
Hey man, great video. Do you, by chance know what the change was in your horsepower?
I haven’t officially put it on a dyno but based off of what they claim on their website that I roughly gained 20-30hp even 35hp. This only happens with the IS300 that has the V6 in it as it is the same engine from the 350 just de-tuned.
Also forgot to answer your kind words… thank you! I’m really glad the video has helped you among others.
Coming along great🔥
Appreciate it man! Hope all is well with you guys!!
@@ultramotivecoffee gonna try to get my dad to get me some ultramotive merch to rep the brand!
@@therealakiko I appreciate it!! Still have some hats available
only select the 350 if you have the AWD version
I just bought a used 16' IS 300 AWD F Sport. On a cold start my RPM starts at 1.5 as well. It sits idle at 1000rpm when warmed. Do you think the vehicle has been tuned?
That’s hard to say… only way to know for sure is to connect to the OBD port and get the details from the ECU. Most average consumers and actually a lot of car enthusiasts do not know that Lexus vehicles can be tuned.
That's awesome. Have you had any changes in reliability in your ride? I have an IS300 and am curious about doing the same thing. How often do you rip it? 🤣
No reliability issues as of yet but I try and keep my car maintained and services regularly.
I rip more than I thought I would but it’s because it’s such a difference plus my Remark exhaust sounds amazing! 😎
I do need to be careful though because if not one of these days I’m going to get a ticket lol 😂
If you could give me a follow, subscribe and share this video I would appreciate it. Furthermore, I’ll upload a short of a cold start of my IS300 and exhaust.

@@lavazza8031 sorry perdón. I don’t speak portugués. Hablo español y inglés.
It's been 10 months ago you installed the RRacing Software mod on your Lexus. 10 months later any changes or regrets on the update?
No regrets or issues at all! I enjoy it everyday! I love the mod and mods I have done to my IS300
I just got this tune, will I still be able to drive it after I flash the ecu onto the the tuner? While I’m waiting on RR Racing to send the tune over? It’s my only car so just wondering lol
Yes. I personally was still able to drive. You are just uploading the car info to the tuner and sending it to RR Racing. RR Racing is pretty quick at getting back to you and getting you the new file so shouldn’t be to long.
Hey man I’m currently in the market for a 3is. I currently drive a 17 mazda 6. With that being said, I need something faster. I’ve learned that the 300 awd has the same motor as the 350. The 350 is what I’d go for but they are running a bit expensive rn so onto the next best thing. I’ve heard the rrracing tune makes the 300 essentially as fast as the 350. Have you had any runs with any 350s to attest to this? Sick video btw saved for when I do decide to tune.🤘🏽
Ya the market right now is volatile and so up in down. I essentially did what you mentioned because I found out the AWD is the same engine as a 350 just detuned.
With this being said I have not had any runs with a 350 BUT have with some modded bmw and 1 m3 that were wide eyes that a is300 was quick to go. I obviously didn’t win lol but the satisfaction of their face said it all. Plus I have been a couple of BMW meet ups and when I pop the hood (Brian style) lol they see my FSport intake laugh have me rev it with my remark exhaust and are like wtf 😳 a sleeper. Again no as fast or quick as them but most don’t drive modded is300 either.
Lastly, thank you for the save of my video! Means a lot!!! Please share subscribe and like. I really hope to keep doing this for everyone.
I have a 300 and my boy has a 350 the only difference is the 350 got sport+ and the acceleration is a lil bit quicker once you tune it you gone be running with the 350 and running with others just like he said probably not win but you gone be there
hey man, planning on doing this tune soon. I was wondering if driving an automatic what the rev limiter hit over 7000 RPMs? Or is it only bc your in manual your hitting it
Hey, thank you for your common question. If you haven’t yet subscribed, I have it will help with future content. Now to answer your question, unfortunately, the computer does not allow you to hit 7000+ RPM because it automatically switches gears. You really only hit that higher rpm when you’re over in sport manual mode.
Hi Brian, could you advise how the tune affect the shifting btw auto modes normal & sport? I like the smooth shifting and power of the IS 300 as it is now so just wondering if this tune cause any jerky feels or slip transmission at any point for daily driving and not pushing redline. I have a 17 IS 300 (2gr-fse) and want to get this tune but worry about messing up the drivability and reliability if any.
Hey 👋 I haven’t had any issues so far. Daily drivability seems as smooth as before the tune just more responsive and power when I want it and need it.
Just know you are modifying/tuning and messing with the factory settings of your car so you do it at your own risk. It is really easy to do and they give step by step instructions on how to do the tune.
Overall I’m really happy I did the tune and I can always go back to the original setting by loading/tuning the car with the original file
@@ultramotivecoffee Thanks for your feedback!! I’ve heard from other ppl with the tune having issue like going limbo (neutral) hitting redline 7200 revised rev limit and the fix is having it tune at stock rev limiter only, I was told I can opt for that by RR Racing if I want, I guess this version of tune is similar to stock 350 tune if you don’t always hit (floor) to redline. What do you think about keeping stock rev limiter to retain factory drivability experience and reliability?
@@hip2thePOP you are very welcome. As far as my thoughts on keeping the stock rev limiter, well then don’t do the tune. If you keep the stock rev limiter I’m assuming the gear shift point would also be similar to stock so at that point I wouldnt tune my car and just trade it in for the 350.
The purpose of the tune is to release the power that Lexus locked away by de-tuning the 300. So by keeping most of the stuff stock you would be spending $500 dollars for nothing.
I will say though if you just want some so of difference and want to play it safe then do the partial tune like you said and keep the stock rev limiter.
I wanted it all so I went for it and happy with it. If I ever trade the car in I’ll revert it back to stock
@@ultramotivecoffee I agree with you play it safe and try how the tune feels with the stock rev limiter, I believe throttle response and smooth out the power curve at higher rpm (4k+) are still available. As you might know the 300 falls flat on power above 4k rpm. This stock version would likely be like 350 just less aggressive as some have said. I would have bought the 350 if they are any available near me that are in decent condition. But this tune seem to bring the 350 feeling and power for the 300 I have. Do you agree with my thoughts and decisions?
@@hip2thePOP I think you need to do what you are comfortable with. I can’t advise you on what you feel comfortable with. My experience has been good and that I can tell you
How has the tune been treating you?
I drive a 2017 is300, does this tune only work with the older gen or 2017+ too? Wonder if you could get the flash tool too pass emissions when needed 🤔
The tune has been great and I have passed my emissions and smog in California so no problems there.
I believe they do offer this for 2017 model and I’ll link to it below but I would email them to confirm. Their customer service and response time has been pretty good so I would ask.

@@ultramotivecoffee right on!!!! I appreciate your quick response, good content you got my sub!
I’ve been debating this or a custom tuner I know but RR seems to be well knowledgeable in Lexus’s system so I may trust them a little more. Think I’m going with the remark exhaust too! You’ve got me ponderingggg 🤣🔥
@@xleepie man I truly appreciate that and having you give me a sub 🙏 thank you!!
Yes RR Racing is the go to for lexus tuning and have been at it for a good while now. Hahaha go for it man. I have a Remark Axleback and I love it!!
Did the tune have any effect on the mpg?
Yes, it did. For me it was in a positive way. I gained 2 to 3 MPG since having the tune. A lot of it has to do with the fact that I am running an IS 300 which is just as heavy as the 350 but is detuned. Therefore, the power to weight ratio before the tune was under powered for the weight of the car. Since the tune as I mentioned, I have gained 2 to 3 extra MPG on average. On long distant drives I have actually gone as high as 28 MPG.
This vid is going to sell tunes
You think so? I mean I love the tune and wouldn’t drive my car any other way and won’t go back
Do they tune the 21+?
You I’m not quite sure but I do know they were working on a tune for them and offer a lot of stuff for all models
how does this work bro
@@John-tk6wd it works wonderfully!!
