- Sheffield is one of the greenest cities of Europe, which is remarkable considering its heavily industrial past. It`s also dear to my heart, having lived in Sheffield for over a year. I`ve grown to love the city and what it represents to me in my life and development as a person. I decided to film some aspects of the city through my lens in between lock-downs when I was visiting last summer. I hope it comes across how much I value this place.

A trip through Page Hall and Grimesthorpe along with some council estates might bring a touch of reality, along with Spital hill and Pitsmoor. The Wicker and Waingate might or even High street with the spice girls in operation, thank god for my Spanish T.I.E. and escape. The last thing I remember was someone taking a crap in a planter in front of John Lewis in Barkers Pool in broad daylight, Adios Amigos.

How did you come to that conclusion that Sheffield is one of the greenest cities when the east end of Sheffield is heavily polluted with BIG cancer-causing concerns.

Hi! Which drone shot do you mean specifically? The drone I use is the Mavic Pro.
@@SvenVee I specifically mean the shot at 21 seconds with the title card over it. I need to get a similar shot of the city myself so just wondering if you found a good take-off and landing site?
@@SortOfFilms Ah That was from one of the big parks in the more "outer ring" area around sheffield. I'm not sure which one it was though. I was very new in town at the time and was still staying with someone else, so don't remember the name. I just recommend going there. It's safe and plenty of space.

Great film, but a very ' S10' view of Sheffield, the nice side of town, the rest of it, by any stretch of the imagination, is no jewel.
Thank you. I have been lucky enough to not see much of the 'lesser' sides of the city back when I lived there. I imagine just like any bigger city, Sheffield also has darker sides.
@@SvenVee there’s a charm to the ‘darker sides’, not as bad as they’re made out to be at all. Granted it sometimes smells strongly of weed on spital hill but best place for a haircut and to eat.
