The passive sounds so good. The 81 sounds mean. Is the Mesa a multi watt model or the old 3 channel.

Multiwatt and the passive is really tight but less compressed as the EMG 81.
EMG 81 always sounds good on rectifiers imho but I like this specific passive pickup on this amp with a boost and the mods I did.
