Stephon Eley I can see that. I really liked his progression from the patriotic hyper American soldier boy to someone who realizes that America is more than the government or the land or even the people, it’s the preservation freedom. (But the comics did it better)
Stallones bro in the ravagers with a guardians of galaxy episode with a downey cameo as iron mans brain being downloaded like prof zolar but better. In hologram and suit form
Don't you think that is a problem he is an actor he has played sherlock and many other roles but only recognition he is getting is that he is the Tony Stark. You can't just keep eating one dish everyday,no matter how good that is it becomes dull one day,you need to keep changing.
RDJ's portrayal of Ironman is the best progression of a character in movie history. Over a 10 year period we got to see him go from a self centered, selfish asshole to someone willing to make the ultimate sacrifice and lay down his life for others. It was amazing to watch and I really hope they don't cheapen it by bringing the character back just for the sake of box office draw.
@@user-ke1st9uo4y it was never foreshadowed... Why would they foreshadow a death they were never going to go through with, had the actor still signed the contract. It's baseless statement lols.

There’s insane chemistry here, either that or the man Robert Downey Jr is inseparable from Iron Man. He seems so introspective and they both allow ample time for thoughts to develop.
Joe knows when to talk. He's actually pretty brilliant at this. The Edward Snowden interview, Joe says a few things only compared to how much Snowden speaks. Great interviewer does this.
How big is Rogan right now? I mean seriously...RDJ is maybe the quietest super star on the planet...but he'll shoot the shit with Joe for over an hour? come a long ways....
Filberto Vandette actually he went just a few minutes over an hour. Which is more than enough for a guy like Robert. But guys like they don’t got nothing going on like Dan Bilzerian , gets over 3 hours
RDJ is such a fascinating man/human. He went from being the “Guy” Iron Man after years of making that synonymous with his name to then being in a kinda lackluster movie Dr. Doolittle and everyone kinda writing him off, but then coming back and securing an Academy Award for Oppenheimer and then being announced as one of the greatest Marvel characters ever written Dr. Doom. This guy is the embodiment of never count someone out and never stop because even at his lowest he has come back and completely dominated every single time.
If iron man was ever going to retire as a character... in that final moment in Avengers End game... That was it. A return would diminish his sacrifice. For a return to be possible, He would have to eventually retire again. The next time he DOES retire again might not be as poetic and beautiful as the one afforded to him in End Game. That is why he says (paraphrasing obviously) the universe would just have to align in some perfect way, and the script would have to be absolutely perfect.
Give me more robert downy. Just give me it. Just feed the fan boys. We don't care about a meaningful death in the past. What was felt was felt. Now we need more. Like Crack. I offer the new captain America as sacrifice. Throw him down the soul stone piller and give me some Robert and Chris evans.
Exactly what happened to every character in the cómics to the point where everything is irrelevant. Multiverses and time travel almost killed cómics and here we are again. Nothing matters anymore and he will return
@@Lwilibertthe main reason I find time travel and multi verse kills comics(or in other media) and makes every death irrelevant. is because it is stuck in a fan service loop. bring the charcter back but don't change anything from this new origin cause then fans don't like the "new guy". spider man had this issue in the comics. during the clone saga. if peter did not act exactly like peter returned from the dead the fans didn't want him. the issue comes down not to time travel and muli verse more fan reaction. RDJ can return as tony in flash backs or voice him in the new What If series but anything after iron mans death RDJ should not return unless he is playing a completely new take from said multi verse. I forgot to say look up red hood or winter soilder. They died to some extent but came back with those deaths have changed how or who they were. to be fair not a lot people liked who they where before so it was accetped
Zach S Arnold is really eloquent when he is interested in what he’s talking about. I don’t care about politics but he seems very educated and passionate.
Robert Downey was one of the 1st actors to bring back my interest in Marvel films. When I 1st saw Iron Man it was so amazing; his Bravura while playing the role, his quick-wittedness, his ability to command authority and his eloquence when speaking. This all made me Love the character of Iron Man and respect the actor himself.
The fact that Joe said about returning is true. When we saw Tobey and Andrew comingback in No Way Home is blowing people's mind. Especially since they are in different era & different movies & different studios. Dr. Strange has opened that "door" about multiverse, so yes the other possibilities are open now like to bringing back X Men and other franchise, but importantly is in the right storyline.
Totally agree. But correction Female Loki opened that door technically if you watched The Show Loki. But I get what you mean just correcting who is really responsible. It was that Little scamp Loki. ✌️😁
Yeah I get that because as a kid who grew up on the Tobey Spider-Man I went nuts when it happened. The difference I think is that their return for this role didn’t endanger a perfect ending like that of iron man. Their exit from their roles wasn’t with the perfect character arch and ending like the role of iron man had so it was just plain exciting with nothing to lose. I don’t think doing it for iron man would actually be received that way once fans actually had it. I think the allure of it knowing you probably won’t get it is what drives the desire more than the reality of it truly occurring.
@@vani808 The reason for his comment is because as an actor, Robert would never want to be known only as Iron Man, that is an insult to his career. He wants to be known as more. These people are professionals at the end of the day. Its the same reason Christian Bale did not do another batman after the 3rd one.
@Playmaker Did you seriously just call someone a soyboy? A term coined by a dipshit that sells bullshit called "brain force pills"? Sit down, you fucking tool.
I want Robert take some time off marvel, do some other movies and if like he says the story makes sense for him to return then he should return to iron man.
He could, but let's face it. RDJ and Chris Evans have completed their character journey from start to end. To just ignore the closure and force them back in would be a huge slap to face for their respective endings.
@Moon but the cgi kinda looks like shit right now. when they're still it looks okay, but when theres a lot of movement (like in typical marvel film) it looks really awkward and uncanny, especially when they're given a larger role, like Tarkin in Rogue One
Great actors understand that leaving a role “in its finality” is the greatest accomplishment. He knows it will cheapen the character for the sake of money. It has to be meaningful to him to come back as he said.
@brajamtho757 I think you misunderstood his comment. He said RD^2 knows coming back as Iron Man after his glorious death in Avengers: Endgame would cheapen the character's legacy, all for the sake of money.
I agree he is the reason I got into this MCU world, and I really couldn’t imagine MCU without him. As much I love him let’s be honest, I don’t want him to come back. He really got a beautiful ending and I even now cry watching it. It’s a phenomenal tribute. I don’t want Marvel to ruin that nostalgic experience. He cannot do the same thing for life.
I love how RDJ is basically like "I'm done, I'm moving on", yet we have all these rumors of him having a cameo in Black Widow and possibly some kind of role in Doctor Strange 2 and possibly even Spider-Man 3. I don't think he'll ever really be DONE done with this franchise. But I DO NOT want him to come back in a full time capacity otherwise it would feel like his death was a moot point.
I think I saw some actor in these marvel movies talk about how contractually they have to make appearances in any of the marvel movies if they want you to. I could be totally wrong on that, but it might be something like that.
Cameos are a bit different, though. Not only are they far easier to record ahead of time, having a cameo isn't the same as going back to the role. You can still move on and do the equivalent of a "favor" once in a while.
Doctor Strange 2 introduces the multiverse, i'd love it if they went to alternate universe where Thor snapped and didnt die so Tony stayed alive and retired to his farmhouse and cared for his family
@@KAWTELENUH I dont think the character changed him a bit. It allowed him to show off his personality. He was also built for that character. But has always been one cool cat.
Yeah, I think a lot of it comes from his history and how he basically nearly destroyed himself and then fought his way back to where he is now. I have a bit of experience in this and it really does empower you, give you confidence but, more importantly, it gives you a shit load of perspective.
@@Negative.headspace thank you for reminding me. I forgot he was in that movie. Yes He was awesome in natural born killers as well. That movie was brilliant all the way around though. woody, and Juliet took that movie to a whole different level.
That's because it was such a perfect casting choice. I remember seeing the trailer for the first movie in the theater and thinking that, the only real reason I really wanted to see the movie was because of him as Tony Stark. It was such a leap of faith on the part of the studio and, had it been anybody else I doubt it would have even sparked any interest after Ang Lee's - Hulk. Out of all the other movies, Iron Man is still my favorite. (Guardians I & II are a close second and third, followed by Thor Ragnarok) It's all about story and casting. Everything else is just frosting. Even if the story isn't that great, the right casting will save nearly any movie.
You changed the landscape of superhero movies for the better. I hope we see you again in the MCU, even if it’s just a short guest spot showing up and teaching your daughter how to take your place as the lead of a new team of superheroes. Or giving her a crucial piece of knowledge to save the world again. Your role as Iron Man actually helped me through a very dark time after an injury. Just because it’s make believe doesn’t mean it doesn’t have real world repercussions, so thank you.
Parallel I don’t hate women by any means but recently there have been some movies way worse than most any good marvel movies all about women like the new ghostbusters, Charlie’s angels, birds of prey, etc
No. He needs to stay dead. Something from the last however many movies needs to stick. Hea right, it would RUIN so much of his character if he was brought back. It's a slap in the face and makes his whole death meaningless.
@@snoofyair4744 its unendingly ridiculed in comics. It's awful in comics. Would be even worse for films in the same continuity. Comics at least have the ability to restart a million times over. That death means nothing. Why translate an objective issue from the comics into their movies? You cannot do that stuff when the death is that significant without ruining the entire point. Period. It would make the entire endgame ending awful.

Do I have to point to the elephant in the room? Do I actually have to be the one to call out the beastiality advocate we are replying to?
