Wow, what race!!! The coverage of this sand rally would be the envy of any sports channel. Greg Woods is golden. He brings all of these events to life. Well done, Team JMR!
Absolutely! I really hope that Greg gets picked up by F1 or any major motorsports as a commentator. I'd still want him to be commentating here, of course, but to hear him on the international feed for a major formula would be wonderful. His joint work with Jack (I can't remember his surname) in the Marbula E during lockdown was absolutely fantastic. I was hoping then that he'd be picked up by Eurosport or something like that.
Look JMR, the marble races are great. Don’t get me wrong, I’d probably still watch anyways, but without an amazing commentator like Greg, you’d lose some of that charm that sets you head and shoulders above a basic marble run. Keep Greg around and keep up the amazing work!
So, what have we learned from this.... Momo definitely has there ups and downs, sometimes mostly downs, but they came together in the end to give their fans something. Not terrible at all!
They jumped from dead last in the first minute of the sand rally, cutting through the field and ending on 7th. grueling comback and a deserved podium for Momo
That's what Momo needs to get better at: getting a decent finish in events they're not going to win. They should have won the whole thing in 2021, and would have if they didn't go 12th-16th-16th in three straight events.
i was so disappointed when they didnt make the marble league, but they are definitely looking they wont be down in the showdown for long. i hope they continue to battle for these hard fought points
I love this channel and their marble competitions, but the block pushing on the hazers seemed a bit fishy, no way they did that bad every time? On the 2nd or 3rd one they all bumped something on the ground which immensely slowed their moment. Seems suspicious, and this is coming from a diehard speeders fan
The most interesting part about this Showdown was the relegation battle. I was tracking it since the start of the video. Absolute miracle from the Jumpers and Snowballs to save themselves. Hazers must have been devastated by that, but they honestly deserved to not qualify. They held onto 6th-8th for the entirety of the Sand Rally, only to drop down 4 spots 5 seconds away from the finish line.
Spoilers: Any Snowballs fans out there? That miraculous climb from 13th to 1st in the Rally to just avoid Elimination was incredible to witness. Honestly, the performances of them, Thunderbolts and Jumpers to jump out of the Elimination Zone in the last event were amazing. It's like they knew exactly what they needed to do and they did it. (Oceanics, where were you?)
Longtime suffering snowballs fan here. They've performed consistently bad other than the first year of Marbula 1. I was thinking they should just retire the team and then Snowy goes off and does that. Wow. Probably the highlight of team history. That it gave them a 10th overall tells just how bad they've been. Perhaps it's time to go out on with that 'win'.
Snowy fans know this strategy well. He uses it all the time in M1. Start near the back of the pack and climb to the top. I can't think of a more fitting miracle to potentially save the Snowballs' existance, and the jubilation I feel is immense.
I think the sand run should always be the last event of any Marble League (Showdown or main tourney). It's a great nod to the Sand Rally and a good way to segue back into that series.
So hyped to see Team Momo climbing!!! The funnel event was so competitive, everyone lasting beyond 2:20 is unheard of! Unfortunate that Team Momo had some unlucky collisions at the end that collapsed their position, but what a great showing! Great work to all the marbles showcasing their work ethic even if they didnt make the league this year
Can we appreciate Team Momo's recovery in the sand rally? They started out so far back that they weren't even in view of the camera and managed to dodge and weave between all these other marbles to achieve 7th place. A win would have been impressive but it was a hell of an attempt.
that was a hell of a comeback, wasn't it? it would have been nice to see them climb even higher, but what they did was impressive! especially since it nabbed them 3rd overall!
That was one of the most exciting comebacks in Marble history! Came to the comments to say this exactly! People! Take not of the fighting spirit of Team Momo! #Momostrong
#Mombappe. What momo did in the first funnel is also impressive. Dead last at the middle of the race, spinning just enough to be in the top in just one funnel, then winning the run !
I realize the only reason they were so far back is because they bumped against the near wall and crash into the far one and then moments later, they hit a rock slowing them down.
Spoilers But first, thank you Jelle, Dion, Greg, Minos and the whole team. You all have made something incredibly special and I'm so glad to have found this channel. I can't wait to see more and I'm super excited and optimistic about the future. Heartbreak for the Flares again. I have to question the decision to run Radiance and not their captain under that much pressure. Hard to believe their year will ever come now. That 0.1 differential in Climbing right at the death had to have hurt, they would have had so much less pressure sitting in 9th instead of right on the edge in 13th, but maybe there would have been no difference. Especially not after finishing dead last when it counts. What a clutch from both Thunder and Snowy. Two captains pulling through with their teams dead to rights, Thunder dominating the race under pressure and Snowy making a miraculous climb from the back to 1st was sensational. Huge congrats to Team Plasma, absolutely rolled (pun intended) the entire event with a tremendous 14.6 points per event, basically a bronze in EVERY event in points. Can't wait to see them in the league next year, they have to make it after that, right..?
Yeah, as a Turtle Sliders, Snowballs & Solar Flares fan this was a very mixed showdown. Happy that TS and Snowballs are through, sad that Solar flares aren't and TS lost 3rd place overall. But with all their fourth place finishes it fits I guess.
I just went back and re-watched the rally, paying special attention to the Snowballs. I am in awe of how many clean overtakes Snowy managed to put together in the back half of that race. The under move against the Oceanics straight into the over move on the Kobalts at 25:08, bridging to the lead group over the next 20 seconds, then squeezing through a gap that barely even existed to get by the Limers, then waiting until the Purple Rockets and Hazers were making contact to just scoot by, just cruising around the Jumpers on the outside line, it looked like Plasma just stepped aside for them, clean line by Rojo Rollers on the inside and just effortlessly gliding by Indigo Stars on the next corner. Thunder put down a heroic final push and blocked magnificently, but Snowy was just on another level.
YAY SNOWY!!!! Carrying the team into next season! I've been a Snowballs fan since I first found the channel, so happy they scraped out of elimination. GO SNOW!!! #SnowMuchFun
That move on the line saved them - imagine the scenes if snowballs qualify more 2023 marble league and then go on to win it. It would be CRAZY all linking back to snowy making those final moves at the very end. Had snowy finished 2nd they would be tied on points with the hazers but the hazers lost a spot right at the end aswell. It would make the story of the CENTURY. I wouldn't be surprised if sky sports made a channel dedicated to it.
All time Hazers fan here, no words. Block pushing was very expected, but not relegation... Really painful. At the beginning of ML22 I chose Shining Swarm as my second team to have someone to root for in the marble league, and they're big contenders to win, so I'm glad that's happening! Hazers will definitely make it out of the showdown next year though, I'm sure of it. #GoHazers #ShineOn
Let’s see which teams will be relegated this year! Wishing every team the best of luck. Go Jungle Jumpers! Edit: YESSSSS! SO PROUD OF THE JUNGLE JUMPERS! We just barely made it through 🥳
@@blitzspitz9687 Momomomo was blazing during the rally. A really bad start and then just sneaking by people the rest of the race. Couldn't be more happy!
Spoilers Snowballs throughout the showdown gave me nothing but disappointment (especially in the funnels), and I was honestly not expecting Snowy to actually pull his own weight in the final event, but somehow, he climbed up 13 spots and came back to get the Snowballs out of relegation. This has brought hope into my eyes for the next year, and I can’t wait for the final event for this year!
Three cheers for the Slow-Mo Rollers! That was an excellent race! That’s what I love about this team, who knew that turning weaknesses into strengths could be a winning strategy?
I think if the Snowballs got a silver, that would have beat the Hazers' bronze. But it was definitely a close one. If any of the Snowballs, Thunderbolts and Jumpers would have done just a little worse in the Rally (2 spots lower, or 3 for the Jumpers), the Hazers would have squeaked by.
The Funnel race was so exciting! That ending was down to the wire. Congrats to Team Plasma. This whole thing was an enjoyable watch! Great job Jelle, Dion and JMA!
This whole second half of the tourney is a duality of emotions. SPOILER Hazers relegated made me dead inside but then HOLY RECOVERY MOMO, YOU'VE DONE IT YOU MAGNIFICENT MAD LADS!
Even though this year was all types of crazy, gotta love the Hazers for giving us one constant in their absolutely abysmal performance in block pushing 🙏 #HazeAmaze EDIT: just finished the video and WHAT THE HECK i cannot believe it
After that batch of showdown events, I'm a bit worried for Captain Balto. Between the funnels and the sand rally, I'm hoping he's not injured. That said, congratulations to all the teams who participated in the showdown. It was a great series of events, and some amazing performances were given. And a hearty congratulations to Greg Woods as well. Nothing makes an event truly exciting more than a commentator with an energetic personality and a passion for the event itself.
. . . . . . WHAT A RUN BY SNOWY IN THE SAND RALLY!!! I seriously cannot believe I just saw that. That was some Dale Earnhardt at Talladega in 2000 stuff right there.
Was expecting another field-storming from their fans in attendance but I guess they're so mired in being literally the worst team in marble sports that they just couldn't put forth the effort.
Beautiful studio layout and each of the sets of the sports. The detail of the staduims/fields/spectator stands is outstanding. the electronic boards have got to be mini real live displays as compared to the other cheaper looking info/score boards that are "raised eye brows" electronically produced. To me the marbles are a bonus --- well done to all involved from the architecture/ engineeing/ construction/painting/ story writing /script and finally but far from least the voice actors. Well done --and these are much better than the first ones you did
Great to see Team Momo doing so well here. Also just want to shout out the crazy climb they had in the last race, started near the back of the pack and went all the way up to 7th by the end! Powerful work and well earned bronze!
You got this Purple Rockets 🚀 you may not have gotten the best start compared to all the other new teams, but I know you can blast your to the top! #BlastOff
This sport brings a tear to my eyes when I think about how much these athletes must have worked to make sure they got a spot in the next marble league. Snowy, you're the team MVP.
Gnome's performance in funnel endurance was incredible. 7th place into the penultimate green funnel and left in 2nd. Incredible shouldering to push 3 other marbles through.
Well... yes, it is, if you only look at that last race. But the Snowballs' performance over the entire Showdown was horrifying, and they are extremely lucky to compete in the ML 23 qualification.
Once I saw that the last event was a sand rally I had lost all faith that Momo was going to finish on the podium. But Momomomo did their job from last place at the start to 7th and securing Bronze! Go Team Momo!
If you want to know what the Marble League is all about, go back and watch that Sand Rally run for the Snowballs. They were miles back, but fought through for the win. Incredible!
The addition of the relegation zone for the ML22 Showdown has made it super interesting for these competitors trying hard to qualify for the next phase of Marble League qualification, but also the main event. Add the new teams in, and this changes everything. *SPOILERS:* Team Plasma running away with the ML Showdown and three of the four in the top-5 highlights that the new teams are punching above their weights against the more established teams in ML. Biggest shock? Hazers went from failing to make the top-3 in ML21 to failing to qualify for ML22 to being relegated for ML23...because they got jumped by the Snowballs (won event) and (literally) Jungle Jumpers in the Sand Rally. How the mighty have fallen.
I feel your pain, I've been cheering for these teams (especially the Oceanics) since getting into marble sports and the constant disappointment is tough to deal with. Luckily I picked a third team to cheer on just in case, I picked the Hazers...
When I started following Marble League Oceanics was a top team, now they finish last in the showdown. How the mighty have fallen. Very solid run by Team Plasma, congratulations!
SPOILER Team Momo CLAWED and SCRATCHED to get all the way from a hopeless 13th overall standing to their rightful place on the PODIUM, slowly but surely throughout this latter Showdown. Most intense 30 minutes of my life, witnessing Mo fight for their life in funnels and Momomomo turn a sandbagged sand rally into a turnabout for bronze overall. I'm literally in love with Team Momo, such an underdog team that is full of heart and never gives up. MOMOMOMOMOMOMOMOMOMO!!!!
literally at the very last moment the snowballs keep themselves in 'qualification for the qualification" for next years ML23. i thought i'd have to wait 2 years before they get their chance again. what a crazy finish
Momo came back!! 🎉 I’m so happy that they made it. Congrats to team Plasma and the Black Jacks as well! Special shoutout to the Snowballs, I know they feared elimination so I’m happy that they’ll have a chance for the marble league next year (:
As a Thunderbolts fan with Snowballs as my second team, that last race was... emotional. This year was almost a disaster for the Thunderbolts, thank goodness for captain Thunder for saving us at the end! And Snowy of the Snowballs too.
WOWWW!!!! what a race from snowballs!!! Also the first parts of the sand race made me thought for a while that limers got better at races then the leaf hit them...😅
Thunderbolts pipped on the line, but still just *barely* doing enough to scrape through and avoid elimination. I was losing my damn mind watching my Bolts screw the pooch on Climbing and Funnel Endurance, but Thunder coming in *clutch* to just barely do enough. Kudos to Snowy. What a move on the line.
Momomomo went from 16th to 7th in the sand rally. I watched him the whole race and he practically threw the competition out of the way each pass. Though I must say I'm not sure how I feel about the team abbreviation being changed to TMO from MOM.
An outstanding event! Talk about edge of the seat stuff! As ever, many, many thanks to Jelle and the gang for their incredible hard work, and to Greg for making it come to life with his awesome commentary. Who needs F1? 😆
solar flares and oceanics getting relegated isn't suprising considering the fact that they both placed in the bottom 2 last showdown anyway. BUT THE KOBALTS AND THE HAZERS? THE KOBALTS TWO TIME DEFENDING CHAMPION OF THE SHOWDOWN GETS RELEGATED? THE HAZERS ALSO GET RELEGATED? DESPITE BEING ONE OF THE STATISTICALLY BEST TEAMS?
Wow, Momo in that second funnel race. They were bullied down three funnels at once and were the first into the second-to-last green... and the last ones to leave it!
I was ready to trash the snowballs for yet another disappointment and then out of nowhere Snowy wins the last even when he started at the back of the grit. Wow. I tip my hat to you Snowy. The team needs a lot of work but I'm sure they were fired up after that incredible performance by their captain. Wow
I'm not a Snowballs fan, but looking at their position and seeing that crazy comeback from Snowy was awe-inspiring (even if I was trying to track two other teams)!
I had hoped Wolfpack would have finished higher today, but I think their inexperience showed through. Hope they don't get discouraged and rally in the next competition.
Team Momo with the massive comeback - 4 very solid events (inc 2 podiums) and coming from last in the final event to scrape their way up to 7th and grab overall bronze!
Oh my god the snowballs still have something in em! They barely made it through and I definitely hope this fires them up for next year! I would never abandon supporting them or the Glaciers and I just know snowballs will return to the league one day and do great! Can't wait for that #SnowMuchFun #WhiteOut

To me the marbles are a bonus --- well done to all involved from the architecture/ engineeing/ construction/painting/ story writing /script and finally but far from least the voice actors. Well done --and these are much better than the first ones you did
The backgrounds behind everything really describe what type of place these marbles are in.
*THE LIMERS FINALLY DIDN'T SUCK! THEY CRACKED TOP 8 AND THEY AVOIDED RELEGATION, LET'S GOOOOO!!!!!*
What an effort by the snowballs in the latest run! He cleared the field!
Held onto hope for the Snowballs until the last moment, watching Snowy snake through every single marble really proved that he’s the captain.
loving the thunderbolts fans singing thunderstruck lmao. also the blackjacks and wolfpack are really fighting for my heart
What a clutch final performance from the Thunderbolts. Also..the Hazers?
Great to see Team Momo doing so well here. Also just want to shout out the crazy climb they had in the last race, started near the back of the pack and went all the way up to 7th by the end! Powerful work and well earned bronze!
Good stuff Momo!
Also love the Patrons posing with the Hazers! Wholesome content
I love the energy in the comments. Zero bickering or negativity. Still buzzing from the rally
Lol the pazers are so bad lazers AHAHAHA 🤓
Blackjacks really whiffed at the end there, but good to see them get 2nd. Also yay momo got podium
Damn, team plasma looks like their gonna be a big player next season.
GO SNOWBALLS! Snowballing perfectly at the end.
I just found this the other day and it has completely consumed me. This is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. This is the perfect sport.
Spread it to your friends😉👍
You got this Purple Rockets 🚀 you may not have gotten the best start compared to all the other new teams, but I know you can blast your to the top!
#BlastOff
This sport brings a tear to my eyes when I think about how much these athletes must have worked to make sure they got a spot in the next marble league. Snowy, you're the team MVP.
Gnome's performance in funnel endurance was incredible. 7th place into the penultimate green funnel and left in 2nd. Incredible shouldering to push 3 other marbles through.
It's a great day to be a Snowballs fan. Snowy, what an absolute GOAT. This gave me Marbula One S1 vibes. Never retire.
Well... yes, it is, if you only look at that last race. But the Snowballs' performance over the entire Showdown was horrifying, and they are extremely lucky to compete in the ML 23 qualification.
great to see the jungle jumpers make it through!
that Sand rally was wild... great job Snowballs!!
Man being a Snowballs fan is just torture....
BUT WE GOT A GOLD AND ESCAPED ELIMINATION!!!! THANK YOU SNOWY FOR AN AMAZING RACE!
Completely forgot they existed until part 2 of the showdown started lol, but good on them for clutching it out.
If snowy cloned himself 4 times, the snowballs would be actually good
Their needs to be free agency in the ML Snowy clearly wants to switch teams
Once I saw that the last event was a sand rally I had lost all faith that Momo was going to finish on the podium. But Momomomo did their job from last place at the start to 7th and securing Bronze! Go Team Momo!
Limers finishing eighth in this is about as much joy as they’ve ever brought us. We’ll take it I guess
The first funnel and the sandrace are incredible when you focus on the momo's journeys !
😮--> my face as Snowy pulled off a Pinkie Toe to get the snowballs out of elimination. Oh Snowy! 🙌
How is snowy so good? WHAT A CLIMB! snowballs actually holding him back
If you want to know what the Marble League is all about, go back and watch that Sand Rally run for the Snowballs.
Great to see the Jungle Jumpers putting in a solid performance!
I love your hard work jelle. Hope you keep it up. GO CRAZY CAT'S EYES
As a Thunderbolts and Oceanics fan, I had several heart attacks watching this.
This is normal
Just as well one of them qualified then. Now cheer the Bolts into the main league.
I feel your pain, I've been cheering for these teams (especially the Oceanics) since getting into marble sports and the constant disappointment is tough to deal with. Luckily I picked a third team to cheer on just in case, I picked the Hazers...
Seeing Mo*4 climb the ranks during the sand rally lit a fire in my belly! What a rush!
When I started following Marble League Oceanics was a top team, now they finish last in the showdown. How the mighty have fallen. Very solid run by Team Plasma, congratulations!
It's really a fall from grace but at least they win the MLWS almost two years ago.
What a wonderful tournament with a great mix of old and new teams.
Team Momo flexing their ML veteran muscles in the sand rally - what a comeback!
SPOILER
Team Momo CLAWED and SCRATCHED to get all the way from a hopeless 13th overall standing to their rightful place on the PODIUM, slowly but surely throughout this latter Showdown.
The sand race was the best race ever. Seriously epic!
That sand rally was one of the most exciting marble runs I've ever seen!
Thunderbolts and snowballs winning that last race and saving themselves by passing kobalts and hazers, awesome
SPOILER WARNING
At this point, the limers not getting relegated is a huuuuuuge accomplishment for them!
I'm partying like they won the main tournament over here. Champagne and all
Fun fact this is the limers first top half finish in a competition
@@alianwar7842 I was gonna say that too
On edge watching that, thank god we made it out!
@@alianwar7842 Please dont remind me :(
WOWWW!!!! what a race from snowballs!!! Also the first parts of the sand race made me thought for a while that limers got better at races then the leaf hit them...😅
Being A snowballs fans is far too much stress. Thank you Snowy
Heartbreak for Thunder right there at the end. Fight on, T-Bolts, fight on.
Still no golds since 2018, funnily enough.
I liked how everyone saved Wolfpack in Funnel Endurance
Thunderbolts pipped on the line, but still just *barely* doing enough to scrape through and avoid elimination. I was losing my damn mind watching my Bolts screw the pooch on Climbing and Funnel Endurance, but Thunder coming in *clutch* to just barely do enough.
Kudos to Snowy. What a move on the line.
Momomomo went from 16th to 7th in the sand rally. I watched him the whole race and he practically threw the competition out of the way each pass. Though I must say I'm not sure how I feel about the team abbreviation being changed to TMO from MOM.
*opens the comments*
*sees people discussing the games, with literal team names*
Not disappointed. Faith in humanity restored.
An outstanding event! Talk about edge of the seat stuff! As ever, many, many thanks to Jelle and the gang for their incredible hard work, and to Greg for making it come to life with his awesome commentary. Who needs F1? 😆
We are happy to do that. Thanx for your compliment
After seing my 4 teams not qualifying for the Marble League, now I have to see 3 of them being eliminated
I can't express how devastated I feel
damn... I thought I had it bad with being a BoC+Oceanics fan :O
@@enzoli23 I'm a Hazers, Kobalts, Oceanics and Limers fan 💀
@@Ligieili ooof 😖😖 my condolences :D
@@enzoli23 Thank you 😭😭
Oh man... My oceanics... Maybe the year after next. Until then Momo, and wolfpack have to carry this.
Great to see Team Momo up there. Devastated to see the Oceanics just collapse.
You can do this Purple Rockets! Just gotta get consistent results. I know you all can do it 💜🚀💜🚀💜
solar flares and oceanics getting relegated isn't suprising considering the fact that they both placed in the bottom 2 last showdown anyway.
Liking Wolfpack and black jacks so far. Looking forward seeing them in 2023
GO WOLFPACK 🐺 let’s try to finish on the podium!
Team Momo with the massive comeback - 4 very solid events (inc 2 podiums) and coming from last in the final event to scrape their way up to 7th and grab overall bronze!
WoW! It's Amazing seeing your livestream at how many have found your channel... Marbles for Life
im so excited to see what wolfpack can do in the second half, and hopefully, in the future, the marble league!
wasn't paying any attention in the first round of block pushing because i was too busy laughing at the hazers for performing exactly as i expected
Oh my god the snowballs still have something in em! They barely made it through and I definitely hope this fires them up for next year! I would never abandon supporting them or the Glaciers and I just know snowballs will return to the league one day and do great! Can't wait for that #SnowMuchFun #WhiteOut
Thank you Oceanics for disappointing me even in the Showdown!
But now and always #RideTheWave !
Thunderbolts and Oceanics, let's go!! We must go back for next year's league!
Oceanics sadly didn't make it out, but Thunderbolts did I still have hope for Oceanics in next year's showdown.
@@eliezersmarbleraces3137
Yeah. That's enough for me. Next year I can root for both the Thunderbolts and the Orangers.
Snowy went from P13 to P1 in the sand rally ! Wild !
Amazing! Every event was exciting! So proud of Team Plasma - well done! 👏👏👏
This is the first time I've ever actually found Roldo. The hint was too strong.
Momo with a great comeback, that's what I like to see
