Great video. Interestingly, in World War 2, Ludlum airfield was a fighter station, part of 12 Group and satellite station to RAF Coltishall. One of the pilots stationed there was the TV presenter Raymond Baxter, (for anyone old enough he was the main presenter of the Tomorrows World Programme) he flew in 602 squadron .
I like you I love the Norfolk B-roads but at the moment I am on crutches but looking at your.video have brought me back to life I hope someday soon to have the operation to walk and drive again thank you so very much for your videos.
Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time just now. I hope things improve for you soon. Thank you for your very kind words about my videos. I’m so pleased they help you . Take care 🚙 📸
What a fab experience for Peter’s birthday! We both watched that together and oh tried to explain to me why the propeller appeared at times to stop or go in reverse, to do with the camera compensating. I didn’t realise Ludham had an airfield let alone a wartime one.
Looks like a good day Leasa. I used to fly out of Ludham occasionally with a friend of mine back in the days when I lived in the Village. Not much runway left now, but fortunately, light aircraft don't need too much space. There used to be a wonderful guy who restored Spitfires in the hanger. Amazing patience to rebuild them....rivet by rivet.
Thanks Lisa, and Belated Happy Birthday to Peter, I hope that he had a great time in the plane and at the party, it all looked marvellous and with brilliant camera work by you. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Wow! Thank you for sharing this with us. I’m jealous of Pete! What an amazing experience. I loved how your camera tried to compensate for the turning of the propeller. Simply lovely.
😂😂😂 it would need to be a far bigger plane than that one. 0 protection. It looked amazing though. Who knows perhaps one day 😱. Think of the video I could make though. … Thank you for watching.
Happy 70th birthday Pete and many more to go from Kevin Bayliss from Highley
Thank you for your kind Birthday wishes. I’ll make sure he sees it
Pete says thank you Kevin
