- In the 2017 U.S. Women's Amateur at San Diego Country Club, Chia-Yen Wu and Lauren Stephenson engaged in a typically tight quarterfinals match. The match went to extra holes ... and then more extra holes, finally ending on the 30th hole.

What a treat! This is one of the greatest golf matches I've ever witnessed!
This was by far the most exciting match I've ever watched!!!! Congratulations to both players for sure. And of course Wu for the win!!!.
I have this saved in my favorites and watch it 1 a year. To me it's quite inspirational for anyone chasing their hopes and dreams. What a great golf match!
Wu has turned 16 earlier this year and is now a professional in Taiwan. Over the past few months, Wu has won three Taiwan LPGA tournaments, beating numerous experienced pros (including those on the LPGA and JLPGA tours who have chosen to stay in Taiwan due to COVID). She shall qualify for the LPGA when she turns 18.

These commentators are so biased and straight up annoying. They all gave stephenson the win beforehand and saying shit like Wu has less pressure because she's so young, why don't you try it playing 50 yards behind your opponent every approach shot and see if your mind doesn't melt?

I never Saw Wu Consed that put by Stephenson on hole 18 of regulation holes. Mabye the Camera angles just didn't show it i assume or it was just missed by everyone

Stevenson was the better player and wu was the more solid player and I hate that Stevenson lost and love that wu won. A good match not great. Great shots were hit and made and happy to have seen the match.

What is the reason behind these terrible follow throughs? Where is the classic reverse "C"?! These pro golfers all swing like they are trying to hit a knuckle ball. Absolutely crazy. The men golfers are just as bad if not worse. The only redeeming quality that saves them is their swing speed.

Match play is to beat your opponent. So when you notice your opponent is uncertain about short putts, of course you would make her putt and try to win the hole if she misses.
Where does it say that short putts should be conceded?There is no such thing as a 'gimme' in golf and as a player you should expect to have to hole everything in matchplay.
The only thing you're right about is that it was not a gentlemen's game,as far as I could tell they were both young ladies .....
