Man thnx back then didn't excist. Unless u would go to Ralph's or vons and go to the magazines and find trick and cheats books I remember also going with my little bro and write it on our hands haha and get home like oh yeah.. great times.. there wasn't no you tube like these to show us
@@Gametropolis ,yeah I am just speaking my mind brother ,I'm in my 30's now, I'm a est 85 bby and a father and my kiddo never has to worry about dial up internet or collect calls, just easy advanced technology
When putting in the cheat codes for the switch on the cheat code screen does it have to be before you remap the buttons? So when it says RS-up is that actually mean LS-up? I'm using a switch pro controller. I'm so confused.
I found it easier and more consistent to enter the cheats in handheld mode (which is not re-mapped). So I have my pro controller re-mapped. Enter the level, undock and switch to handheld joycons to enter the cheats then re-dock and continue with the remapped pro controller.
It depends how you’ve mapped your buttons on the Switch controller, but if I remember correctly the default controls use the the right analogue stick (Switch) in place of the N64 C-buttons, and ZL in place of Z; use the d-pad on Switch for any directional inputs mentioned in the codes. Hope that helps!
Do these button codes actually work? I’ve never been able to get them to activate. Not when I was a kid with the n64, not in emulator, and not now with the Xbox version. What’s the deal? I’m using the R-L as shift keys like you’re supposed to.
Yep they work on N64, Switch and emulators (not Xbox). I just held the buttons together instead of using L+R as shift keys like some sites suggest. You have to be pretty quick.
On default control settings you can replace the c-button inputs with the right analogue stick. I.e. if the code says ‘c-left’ press left on the right stick.
I’m pretty sure you can only unlock the cheat codes on Xbox by completing the mission associated with the previously mentioned cheat in the time frame expected.
The Line Mode cheat does go unused in the vanilla N64 GoldenEye, but it can be accessed via the debug menu by selecting the "vis cvg" option.

Great story, thanks for sharing! I always love to hear about other people’s memories of old cheat codes and things 😃

Absolutely 💯 % correct. Also we used to watch game masters cheat show hoping our favourite games would hopefully appear.

Yeah, if you swap the sticks around you’ll need to use the left stick for all c-button inputs.

@@steventeslic3867 Thanks bro, I will give that a try.
They disabled Cheats on the xbox version which is weird but you can still get them via the classic way by beating the level on a time limit
Aren't the dev characters the NPC enemy faces?
Yep! They’re all used randomly for enemy soldiers
Good video thanks for posting
Thanks for watching!
Hey quick question here, what does c stand for and what the L stand for when on an Xbox controller. I’ve been loosing my mind trying to do this.
I learned today that they removed the cheat codes from the Xbox version. Very disappointing!
@@Gametropolis oh, no wonder I’ve been struggling, welp. Thanks for telling me anyway dude!
@@Gametropolis what do you mean l have the cheats on the Xbox version. I have dk mode on as I speak

@@Gametropolis oh like press them all at the exact same time really fast? Do you have to be just as fast with the next set of inputs?
Yeah that worked for me on Switch
Thanks really helpful.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching 😀
Box in a box in a box in a box... in caverns level.
when i want play with this all cheats?where must push it free,in which game mode
I have attempted to put in these cheat codes on the cheat menu 1000 times and they dont seem to work...any hints or reasons as to why?
They won’t work on Xbox if you’re playing it on that, but should work on any other hardware.
1:39, what is the configuration for that using a Nintendo Switch controller?
Silo in 3m ?
Very Hard, you have a very fast.
Can you tell me what the controls for the cheats are, I get some of it but what does up, or down mean?
Either up, down etc. on the d-pad or analogue stick
@@Gametropolis thanks man, is the analogue stick the joy-stick and d-pad the directional arrows? Just making sure.
Do the manual Cheats work for the Xbox?
No, they removed them from the Xbox version 😫

Yeah you’re right. Shame they took them out the Xbox version.
How about on the switch
All these codes work on the Switch
@@Gametropolis not working for me atm
Please can you explain how you are using an n64 controller on xbox one?
All this footage was recorded on a Switch, using an N64 controller. You can still use an Xbox controller on Xb1 it’s just a bit awkward.
