Thank you very much for this tutorial - I followed this and made an iPad sleeve and it turned out beautiful. The double-fold method of sewing and then turning it is just genius. I was pretty sure i got it all wrong but kept sewing with this video right with me. Turned out well.
Awesome tutorial! I made my partner a case for their Gameboy Color and it turned out great! I added a layer of padding to the top fabric instead of using felt lining and the measurements and everything still worked out well. Thank you so much!
I am so grateful for finding this channel a few weeks ago and subscribing! I learned to make a fabric book cover a few weeks ago, which was needed for aesthetic purposes for a family member's film project. And currently I am in need of a laptop sleeve to make working away from home a little easier, but currently can't afford to buy one... then I found this delightful video! Seriously, you make a HUGE difference in people's lives! Thank you so much!!! 😍
Thanks for your video! Could you put the opening on the top flap so when you topstitch it you close the hole instead of having to handsew? I will see if I am able to figure that out!
HEY THANK YOU!!! I loved the tutorial I started university a few weeks ago and I had to bring my laptop ( which is huge and hard to find a laptop case for it ). I was so scared to break it as it is brand new, and now I can take it securely ❤❤❤
I love this, but wanted a padded sleeve. After much watching, fiddling, cursing, I got it to work! At the point of the first seam (where the space is left open to turn), the layer should be: Exterior fabric, wrong side up, felt (or interior fabric) then batting. I did use felt for the interior, so can't say for sure, but I believe the interior fabric would be right-side up.
Thanks for this wonderful video (and webpage); I'll be following along to make gifts for my friend and partner. You mentioned adding fusable lining for extra reinforcement, and I thought that would be a good way to protect the keyboards better, but will the construction still follow the same steps? Also, I've heard that prewashing fabric is important when sewing - do you recommend prewashing the cotton & felt liner, then pressing, before beginning? Thanks for your time!
What makes you think the math is wrong? TH-cam does not allow me to update a video so I will add the measurements in the video description and the written tutorial on my website

I thought this same thing as I was watching. I hate the look of hand sewing on anything that isnt a plushie.
Thanks for the tutorial 🙂
You are welcome. Glad you liked it and thanks for commenting
How would it work with some batting?
HEY THANK YOU!!! I loved the tutorial

hello, where did you buy the cloth? It looks so beautiful. I wanna make one.
Hello, they have a very similar print at Ikea. Good luck!
It's from my stash and I bought it long ago. Sorry for not being more helpful
I made it , and I LOVE IT ❤️ ، Thank you so much 🌹. 🇸🇦💚
Hi I will like to put zip how do I put the zip tq
Add the zipper instead of the flap
Sorry can u show a video I m just learning tq
No, I'm sorry. These videos are VERY time consuming
How to add a zip instead of a flap?
You should use a different construction method. It's basically an oversized zipper pouch. Search my channel I have a video how to do it
Want to make I pad sleeve.
Measure your ipad and follow the tutorial
10cm is 4 inches!
Indeed, good catch. The good news is it is the measurement of the gap, so both would work
The math seems wrong! Could you also give measurements in centimetres for us in the UK and Europe.
What makes you think the math is wrong? TH-cam does not allow me to update a video so I will add the measurements in the video description and the written tutorial on my website
I will add the metric measurementa in the written tutorial here hellosewing.com/diy-laptop-sleeve-pattern/
The video is too fast to follow the steps I’m a learner by watching can you please do a video a little slower thank you
You can slow it down, Gloria. Press the gear shaped settings icon, then playback speed and choose 0.5x. happy stitching
