This offensive concept was originally invented by the Boston Celtics in the 60’s under Red Auerbach. The Celtics continued to run this for the next 30 years with hall of famers like Larry Bird and Dave Cowens. Nobody ran it for years after that. Then in 2011 Rick Carlisle (former Celtic) ran it with the Mavericks and won a championship beating stacked teams like the Lakers Heat and Thunder. He continues to run this with with the Pacers today with who have the #1 offense in NBA history. Great stuff.

Steve Kerr just used what he thought was best for the Warriors based on what the roster had. Its what good coaches do.
