Love the drills but personally I don't like the defender jumping on outside shots especially if the offensive player has not used his dribble. You don't have to jump to contest an outside jump shot. Just close-out hard with a hand up and try to distract the shooter. Once an offensive player with the ball enters the painted area, that's where I like my defenders to jump....on high percentage shot attempts.
