Country living at its finest. We just bought a little homestead in TX in a ranching community. It's on about 1.5 acres, new build and we're looking to put in a gate. This is perfect. Love all the little helpers. I've got two myself and they love to help me as well. Great video.
Awesome! That’s one of our older videos, our farm has progressed greatly since that time. It’s always a work in progress for sure. Thanks for watching!
Very cool. This is the lifestyle I would like to have in my country. This is the reason why I worked so hard here in the USA, to be able to give a better quality of life to my family. And what I liked most was the whole family helping to build! Congratulations on the work you have done.
Hey nice video are those 2x6s? ? I’d like to build this set up but with 4x4 or 6x6 posts instead of the round posts that come to a V and put a 16’ cattle gate on it
It looks like you just filled around the posts with the dirt you took out. Did you use concrete or anything? Love the videos by the way and how well your kids help out and get along with each other.
Thanks! Yes sir, we have a lot of clay in our soil so it packs around the posts pretty tight. Since it’s only boards we just used the dirt from out of the holes. I will use concrete on corner posts if I’m stretching wire or for hanging gates though.

Family project 👍👌
Awesome family!
Looks nice! I need to do that at my place.
Family and place looks good ..congrats!
Thanks!
What is the height of the pillars? And what is the length between the pillars? Great job
Thanks! The fence is roughly 4 feet tall, the boards are about 5 1/2 inches wide, and I used a cut piece of board as a spacer in between.

Thank you very much. Tell me how far the pillars are from each other?
@@kungfuista1205they are 8’ apart, and the corral boards are 16’ long.
@@MaynardFamilyHomestead thanks a lot.
I bought that m12 drill on clearance from Home depot and I couldn't believe how much power it had.
It is impressive!
Well done 👍🏼
Thank you sir!
looks real nice , What is your spacing on your posts leading up to your gate ?
If I remember correctly I did a board width space between each board, so almost 6 inches.

We used 1x6 corral boards, but 2x6s would be stronger.
How many boards did it take to make this and the measurements for the boards please.
We used standard corral boards which are 6 inches. Each side is 24 feet so it’s one and a half boards long.
How far did u put the post?
2’ in the ground, 8’ on center
just curious, where u guys located, see soil is sandy and spanish moss in the trees, we r also Maynard, hubby from southeastern VA
Cool! We’re in northern Florida, but my dads family is from SE Kentucky.

0:07 looks like the bulls are having fun. Great video, but bad timing on the edit. lol
😂
Nicely done! Plus, your kids work harder than most democrats 😂
😂
Did no one notice the bull when filming or editing? 😂
What size post ...?
I believe they we’re considered 4”-5” posts. 4x4 posts work perfectly too, and they have a nice flat surface to screw to.
What did u use for the rails ?
Deckboard or are those 2x6
Thee rails are pressure treated 1x6 rough cut corral boards from Lowe’s.
Looks great! Subscribing for more great content 👍
Thank you!
Tell is what your doing!!!!
Silence ….. so we’re to just figure it out?
Sorry bud, it was a family blog video I wasn’t making a tutorial.
