Lee and Fernando work together so well. Probably my favorite duo on YT.
Porsche has to easily be one of my favorite car brands and really nothing beats those turbo noises.
Carbon ceramic breaks tend to not have as aggressive of initial bite as steel rotors especially when running semi-metallic sport or racing pads. I’ve experienced comparisons of steel vs ceramic on both C6 Corvettes and AMGs where ceramics are not nearly as responsive but of course ceramics are much less prone to brake fade when used heavily.
Totally agree. My Panamera turbo S has CC and my Boxster Spyder steel, when I go from one to the other I often scare myself. The Panamera ultimately stops in the same(ish) distance, but I have nowhere near the level of confidence in the brakes, they just feel like wood in the CC cars.
When they’re hot, they GRAB! My 997 turbo has pccb’s and I love it. From crazy rally driving to city driving, so long as they’re warm, they’re amazing. You literally never have to worry about not being able to stop provided the road surface and tires are in a conducive condition👍
Though my car has the bbi slave cylinder conversion - not sure if that makes any difference at all.

I’m a Porsche lover. I watched the total build/story of this 997. Speed yellow and Race yellow are my favorites Porsche colors. I have a 2015 991.1 Speed Yellow. Awesome channel!!! I hope you post your drive at the Tail of the Dragon. Also, I’ll be interested in what you choose to do with that car. Stay awesome… jim

I have a 997 GT3 with ceramics and the brakes are my fave part of the car, strong bite but not over servo’d, night and day better than the brakes on my 996 Turbo.

I have a 997 turbo tip. Second gear pulls still blow me away to this day, especially on a cold, dry night. Stock except for exhaust like this car.

Those are fun cars, but I don’t like the light clutch in them with the assist(the cherry bombs as we used to call it...I used to be a Porsche tech at a dealer) the 997 gt3rs and 996 c4s are still my favorite out of the carrera line up though as far as pure driving fun goes💪996 c4s would be my ideal daily😂....seriously

Been watching u guys for like 2months strong and I can say u guys do good work. An that project went fairly smooth compared to the project that the other guys worked on with the silver Porsche

I have the cargraphics kit for my 997 turbo S. Works great. It came with the remote. It took a year to get the ceiling panel switch. It's based on RF I believe. We couldn't get the ceiling panel switch to pair with the system. Still a work in progress. PS - my system does not automatically raise based on speed; it only lowers

Are you running similar pads on all the 911s? I have found pads are usually the denominator. I installed the "BIG" GM setup on my CTS VSport (15.35" with 6 piston Brembo up front and 14.37" with 4 piston Brembo out back). Running Powerstop Z26's (hardly any dust) for street driving. Even installed the OEM dust shields. On my Michelin PS4s, I can do repeated hard brakeings and they don't seem to ever want to fade.

I always chocked it up to old technology as far as the brakes go. I especially notice initial brake fade right after a wash with lots of chemicals until they dry off.
Heck yeah I liked that I think an newer gto would be kinda cool to see build up

The engine compartment fan issue is a relay. You'll need a 15a to replace the smaller one that's in there. It's in the back by the bose subwoofer.
