(Is this answer good?) In Macbeth, the "Is this a dagger" soliloquy (Act 2, Scene 1) shows Macbeth’s guilt and hesitation before killing Duncan. The “dagger” he sees is a hallucination that will haunt for the rest of the play. After the murder, Macbeth’s guilt intensifies when he says, “Will all great Neptune’s ocean wash this blood / Clean from my hand?” (Act 2, Scene 2). Here, he realizes that not even an entire ocean can wash away his unforgivable sin of regicide, emphasizing how deeply it affects him. Both quotes reveal how guilt begins to overwhelm Macbeth, leading to his eventual downfall. At first, Lady Macbeth mocks Macbeth's guilt, insisting that “The dead are just like pictures” (Act 2, Scene 2), which reveals her attempt to minimize the gravity of their crime. However, as the play progresses, guilt overwhelms her, leading to her famous line, “Out, damned spot! Out, I say!” (Act 5, Scene 1), during her sleepwalking. This moment highlights her deep psychological distress and inability to escape the consequences of her actions. Ultimately, Lady Macbeth transforms from a strong and ambitious character into one consumed by fear and madness, illustrating how guilt can corrupt even the most powerful individuals. Although Macbeth and Lady Macbeth gain power, their guilt ultimately causes them to lose control. Macbeth becomes paranoid, exclaiming, “Never shake thy gory locks at me” (Act 3, Scene 4), showing how the ghost of Banquo haunts him and reveals his overwhelming guilt. In contrast, Lady Macbeth’s guilt turns inward, as she laments, “What’s done cannot be undone” (Act 5, Scene 1). This acknowledgment of her inability to escape their crimes leads to her madness. While Macbeth externalizes his guilt through paranoia, Lady Macbeth's internal struggle consumes her, illustrating how guilt manifests differently in each character.
i would compare " a little water clears us of this deed" to "out damned spot". I was going to link the water to holy water and the religious connotations it hold and " damned" to damnation. How she puts up a fascade that the immorality does not affect her.... But later we can see that her regicide has transformed her in guilt and she fears the eternal damnation she knows she will recieve. The juxtaposition between the religious water and damnation highlights the change in her character and the guilt she is plagued by a result of her transgressiosn against God and her use of the supernatural. This is further conveyed in the juxtaposition between "clears" and spot". Clear has connotations of cleanlieness and when paired with this religious water emphasises the purity that lady macbeth and her feminity once held before her part in regicide. However, "spot" suggests an imperfection or corrpution as Shakesperare intends to convey the feeling that Lady Macbeth's soul has been tainted by going against the divine right of kings, leading to her madness and guilt.
Explore how guilt is presented in the following extract from 'Macbeth' by William Shakespeare and the rest of the play. You should consider: How Shakespeare presents the theme of guilt through the characters' thoughts, feelings, and actions. The effects of guilt on the characters and their relationships. The techniques Shakespeare uses to convey the theme of guilt. Extract: [Provide an extract from a relevant part of Macbeth where the theme of guilt is prominent, such as Macbeth's soliloquy after Duncan's murder or Lady Macbeth's sleepwalking scene.]

Ummm... if it doesn't you can - BUT how would that add to the question? I think you'd be wasting your time doing that instead of adding relevant context that directly answers the question.
lady macbeth couldnt handle the guilt like macbeth could, perhaps because she is a woman in a patriarchal society. simple idea that you could mention for context in paragraph 3

can u do it for all the themes in Macbeth
How would you use this with the given extract. Do you write 4 paragraphs?
Guys I’m back the question was “how is lady Macbeth presented as a strong female character” sooo good
Can you include context about the play that doesn't relate to your question in your thesis
