17:35 People are talking about two problems with the anime. 1. Cut backstory. Orihime was heavily abused by her parents and bullied for the colour of her hair at school to the point where they kicked her to the ground and cut her hair off with scissors. She would have become a fundamentally different person if not for Tatsuki stopping the bullying later on, and later meeting Ichigo. Their stories are supposed to reflect each other, as both chose to be protectors in different ways. Orihime's power manifested as her desire to protect her friends, but unlike Ichigo she couldn't bring herself to harm others after what she's experienced. It also gives different context to the bullying she went through during the Arrancar arc, and why she immediately gave up and went to Hueco Mundo to prevent others from being killed. 2. Censorship, filler, and cuts make Orihime look practically useless; primarily in the Arrancar arc. The manga has her immediately healing any injuries the moment she has a chance, while the anime has her stand around saying "Kurosaki-kun" for several episodes straight. Aizen was curious about her healing because it's strong enough to reverse injury, death, or pretty much any infliction outside of some specific circumstances. Hope you enjoy the Lost Agent arc!
My guy, Aizen destroyed the cleaner for the sole purpose to power up Ichigo, he even had a line of dialogue to Ichigo's friends later on, "Ichigo Kurosaki will come, and with new powers"
It's not often you find reactors that actully seem interested in the show they're watching and can make you feel like you're watching it for the first time again yourself. I could listen to you talk about Bleach for hours can't wait til you get to TYBW and catch up
The Fullbring Arc is so underrated and gets a lot of hate, but it’s actually a huge turning point for Ichigo. It focuses on his life after everything he’s been through, making it more grounded and treated as more of a thriller. The arc dives into deeper emotional stakes and has some amazing moments that make it intense and memorable for me.
I don't think it deserves the hate it got, but I understand it. It feels more like a filler arc, which kinda makes sense as you even call it a thriller, which I agree. Definitely has some cool moments, but once again Kubo loves to invalidate the consequences his characters were forced to go through. "oMG HE LoST hIs POWerS What WilL HE Ever DoOOoO oh never mind he got them back."
@@asimhussain8716 If you want explanations on how they made the sword with which Rukia gave energy to Ichigo you can read the light novel "Bleach the Death Saves the Strawberry". However I don't think that this invalidates all the consequences that happened in the arc, rather it supports it both physically (Ginjo himself emphasized that it was precisely the training done to Ichigo that made him strong and adapted to the powers he regained) and psychologically (the speech between Ichigo and Ginjo at the end shows us Ichigo's evolution from a protector out of duty to his own will, without lying to himself by saying that not being able to see and help the spirits was all he wanted) and prepares him perfectly for the final saga.
You're the only person that ive seen that likes soi fons bankai as much as i do, i really do like how it contrast her shikai so much leading her to hate it
it was so funny to see captain of the stealth force have a whole ass rocket launcher as a bankai, and the fact that both times she fires it they make a note to show us all the characters around stopping to look at the explosion. not very stealth like but very effective lmao
@@Mespyy Everyone's Bankai is a representation of their inner/true self. Her Shikai is her desire to be a perfect silent killer. Her Bankai, however, is her aggressive behavior at the forefront. (I really love Soifon, in general, she grew on me.)
The Ulquiorra Cero during the early fight is still one of the best cinematography in anime history, like bro used the screen panel to hide his left hand cero.
They ran away from Unohana because of her reputation. You wont see why for a while, but once you do you'll know that those arrancar were the smartest characters in the whole series.
Tosen’s backstory is expanded upon in the light novels trilogy Can’t Fear Your Own World. I highly recommend checking them out after you’ve completely caught up, as they give huge amounts of lore and explain some events that happen after the TYBW.
So glad to see you're enjoying Bleach so much. The Fullbring Arc will be the next one you watch, unless you want to watch the filler arc immediately after Arancar which is pretty good, and don't listen to the hate on the Fullbring arc. The Fullbring arc is a more character centric story and much smaller in scale, but that doesn't make it any worse.
Hype moment after hype moment… my brother let me tell you you are not ready for the thousand year blood war! If you love the writing already, wait til all the questions you never knew you had, get answered. Love your videos so far man, keep it up.
Bro I absolutely love that you’re speed running through this series. The Fullbring arc is pretty cool and has some important moments. But I can’t wait for you to get to the ‘Thousand Year Blood War’ Arc. You’re going to flip out!! Keep it up G
Also as for your questions, Idk if you wanted the answer to the Urahara question so I'll not answer it, but Ichigo will get his powers back during the next arcs, I won't be telling exactly how but yk. The soul king is pretty simply a kind of god, he basically made the bleach world. Yeah so renji uh.. maybe 1 or 2, but yk that's a lot for being renji.
Gin and Grimmjow are amongst some of my favorite characters in the series. Their designs, demeanor, backstory, motives, abilities...they're just peak characters.
Ichigo Vs Ulquiorra, specially when Ichigo is fully hollowfied, is regarded as one of the best if not the best fight in Bleach, and I recommend the introduction of the forth bleach movie (Hellverse). It's 2-3 minutes of an expanded fight between both of them. You don't need to watch the the film because it's not even relevant to the plot but that part you will love for sure. The clip is in youtube if ur interested, and more full hollow Ichigo is always welcomed, considering it's short life span To add to the Tosen stuff, it goes much more indepth in the Can't fear your own world novels which are not animated and I doubt they get an adaptation anytime soon
only at 2:22 but I can tell that some of your questions will be answered in time. The foreshadowing is insane. Even if it's not finished, will you be watching and reviewing the TYBW arc? by the time you get there, the third part will be finished already but it's probably 2 years till the last one comes out
Tosen is an Amazing character but to see what really drives him, you have to read a novel that post the TYBW. Also Ichigo realized Aizen deep inside was so lonely he wanted someone to match him and so in losing he still won.
I'm not a huge fan of the Arrarncar Arc, especially the beginning and middle, but I really like the end of this arc, it's just amazing. It has one of my most memorable moment from Bleach. The fights, the themes that are brought up, Ulqiora's final moments... And especially the ending when Ichigo needs to prepare for the fight with Aizen and his interaction with his father are probably my favorite things in the arc. The way Ichigo coldly looked at Aizen in his new transformation is just impressive. A very cold scene. And the final Getsuga is just the peak of Bleach, in my opinion. I was very pleased with the ending of this arc. I can't wait for the Fullbringers arc video, there is also something to talk about.
Really just Ulquiorra's fight was the only excellent part about this arc. Everything just DRAGS on and on, and the fights are so shallow for the most part. But I disagree that the final Getsuga is peak Bleach, it was an ass-pull because Kubo wrote himself into a corner. Soul Society arc has WAY more impactful moments despite being lower stakes. Even side character moments are cooler. Like when Momo finds Aizen's body then confronts Gin, only to be stopped by Izuru and these friends are yelling each other with him committed to killing her for attacking his Captain. Now that was DRAMA, and it was entertaining, despite the actual animation/fight not being this spectacle. And that's the problem with the fans, so many of you guys are fooled by flashy fight scenes and cool powers, despite the lack of weight and drama.
@@asimhussain8716 all I gotta say is I sorta agree, cause of the way the anime handles it, the arrancar arc is genuinely top 5 shonen arcs for me in the manga. The less important fights aren't nearly as dragged out and Kubo's cinematic panelling, overall superior art, end of chapter doodles and volume poems just makes every single of the moments that lacked weight in the anime hit you like a truck, hope you check it out sometime
@@STarman-k9p I can't imagine the manga would improve my view on it, as it's the core storytelling I have an issue with. Like WHY are these characters fighting? Byakuya vs Ichigo is one of the most dramatic fights in the series not because of their powers but because of the drama surrounding them, as well as the very real stakes. Notice how people frame the arc as just nothing but fights, Ichigo vs Grimmjow, Kenpachi vs Noitorra, Mayuri vs pink hair dude, and on and on and ON. There's no dramatic tension, no deeper thematic elements lol, it's just a plain shonen anime. Soul Society felt like a Studio Ghibli universe, that's how cool it was. But instead of fleshing that out more Kubo introduces a bunch of new characters only to have them killed off. Then for the next arc he introduces a bunch of new characters only to have them mostly killed off. Then for the next new arc he introduces a bunch of new characters only to have them killed off.
@@asimhussain8716 I definitely understand your complaints, but I've always felt that the fight with the espada, xcution and sternritters have always primarily resulted in development for the cast introduced in the SS arc. Also, grimmjow and Ulquiorra had reasons to fight Ichigo. Komamura and Hisagi vs Tosen was emotionally charged. The purpose of the pillar fights were to highlight Tosen and Gin's battle philosophies, while also showing how miscommunication among squad 11 is leading to the strongest squad in the Gotei getting repeatedly stomped upon. Tension is literally forced into Rukia's fight with Arronierro as takes Kaien's forms, and it is through their fight we learn of the most important thematic device of this arc, and this story as a whole, which is the heart. As for the other fights, the fights may not start off with any dramatic tension, but they sure develop into some of the most thematically rich fights in the story. Take Kenpachi vs Nnoitra for example, two battle crazy monsters just going at it, but as the fight progresses it's getting slowly revealed to us how different these two actually are, eventually culminating in it being revealed to us that Nnoitra just wants to die in battle to escape this life of despair while Kenpachi just says, "I don't wanna die". Then there's Mayuri vs Szayelaporro, two mad scientists facing off. While these have no prior history, their fight evolves into a debate about their philosophies as scientists, with Mayuri's speech about perfection genuinely becoming one of my favourites in fiction. Starrk vs Shunsui is also quite similar. Two lazy dudes going at it, but when it comes down to it Shunsui has the ability to act uncharacteristically while starrk doesn't, all while being hinted throughout the fight that if they weren't at war, Shunsui could have been someone that starrk could have genuinely called a friend, someone who could have freed him of his loneliness. Although I do think your complaints are applicable to Harribel Barragan and Yammy's fights. And then Aizen vs Ichigo is literally the puppet vs the puppeteer. I'm just generally a huge fan of writing like this, especially in this case, as in a war it just doesn't make sense for every single character to have history with every single one of their opponents. To me, what the actual fight turns into is what actually mattered. Anyway, I'm just giving you my takes and how I felt while reading this story, not telling you that you're wrong to feel the way you do and that you should change your opinions, so please don't misunderstand
Bro i cant wait for your thoughts on the TYBW arc. Also the next arc after the Arrancar arc is really underrated i think. Wanna really see what you think of it.
Really enjoyed this video rip Gin :,) Also the arrancars that didn’t die are still in hueco mundo and just kind of live there now LMAO they won’t be relavent until tybw
fun fact: the fake karakura town arc is the most heavily censored arc in the anime. THere are two major moments that kind of get killed by the censorship. When the 3 arrancar girls summon that giant monster in the manga, it rips out a massive chunk of Rangiku's torso. You can actually see her organs hanging out. Also instead of getting stabbed in the anime, Gin just outright cuts Hiyori completely in half in the manga.
The censorship doesn't amount to anything though. The story is the same. Two characters get severely injured, end up being fine. No consequence lol, Kubo just did it for shallow shock factor.
@@oiktas13.Arc lowkey felt like all the rest of the other Bleach fillers except for the only cool moment when Ichigo got done you know how and did you know what to you know who 😂
Yo, your pace is amazing, you're gonna love the new animation when you get to TYBW. A couple of things: Orihime was done dirty in the anime for 2 main reasons - no 1 the anime censorship really screwed over the severity of the injuries she and the others sustained (Ishida's arm was ripped off by Ulquiorra, half her face was mangled, the 2 girls that were harassing her got really f-ed up by Grimmjow, etc.), and by proxy it kinda nerfed her power. The second reason is that they really made her repeat the "Kurosaki-kun" an ungodly amount of times, to the point that she was just kinda annoying, while not really fleshing out her inner insecurities and worries in regards to Ichigo and friends. Aizen killing the cleaner and fucking around in real Karakura town was because he wanted to wait for Ichigo to power up, to be his final stopgap (I don't remember if that was explicitly stated in the anime, but in the manga he says to him before the face grab "It seems you squandered the time I gave you"). Finally, about 90% of fights in Bleach are character focused with little to no forward plot progression. And that kinda sucks when there will always be characters you don't care for. I actually like the pillar fights, but their placement in the story makes them drag it all out way too much. And that, in combination with the horrible pacing of the anime, makes this chunk bare the lowest lows of the entire series. (The tree dude Rukia, Renji and Chad were fighting was 1 and a half chapters, spread out in it's entirety)
yea i keep receiving comments about the censorship in this arc and in regards to Orihimes ability, until proven otherwise im just going to believe that Orihime can heal anybody unless theyre literally dead. also it seems Aizen did say that in the anime i must have just missed that line of dialogue
@@stryperwolf1723Indeed, you can't really be any more dead than being dead. Orihime can essentially reverse any and all damage as long as there's still a body to be restored to the way it was. Maybe she could have even saved Ulquiorra if she tried to heal him before he fully desintegrated into dust 😔
@@Mespyy from this point on, all the pacing issues are mostly gone, so even if you dfw some fights, they don't drag on. can't wait to hear your thoughts on fulbring, much love brother
Shonen Jump forced Kubo to expand the Arrancar Arc because the Arrancar were such popular characters. Also, yes, Orihime is a much better character in the manga. The anime show runner was an Ichigo x Rukia fan, so Orihime's character was changed a lot. If I were you, I'd at least look up some videos about it because the anime did Orihime dirty, even overemphasizing her habit of calling out for "Kurosaki-kun". About the power levels in fights, you have to remember that things made from reiryoku or spirit energy are far more durable than things made of kishi or physical matter. If things like the Ulquiorra fight or final clash with aizen had happened in The World of the Living, they would've easily been nuking planets like SSG Goku vs. Beerus in the BotG. Hell, the Super anime actually references the fight when Beerus stabs Goku and Goku heals the wound in his torso in a similar manner as White does for Ichigo. Also, Aizen needed Ichigo to get stronger since being a Soul King candidate, a hybrid of Human, Fullbringer, Quincy, and Shinigami, Ichigo was the measuring stick Aizen needed to test his power. Destroying the Cleaner was Aizen giving ichigo one last chance to match his power as the final test of Aizen's evolution into a transcended being. Even hunting down Ichigo's friends was a tactical move. Aizen wanted to hunt them down, kill them, and then string them up at the front of the town, hoping the emotion it'd spark in Ichigo would make him stronger.
2nd channel would be cool 2:22 Remember that, because it's going to make sense in the far future. 27:37 It's like in reality, you think you make 99 plans; you're 99 steps ahead, but what about beyond 99? Aizen's a genius, but after those 99 steps, he became overconfident. Like when he refers to Ichigo as "human," he has a strong god complex. In Death Note (spoilers if you haven't seen it), at the end Light makes much more mistakes than in the beginning, because he thought he defeated the hardest challenge, L his greatest opponent, and that nothing on that level or higher stands in front of him. Even at the end, he thinks that through his act he'll live and that he has a chance because he's a "god.". And that's also why I love Aizen and how he is written.
Nah Aizen was not overconfident. He wanted ichigo to get stronger. Rewatch the episodes. There are so many lines like, “ichigo will come here with new powers” or “I wonder if killing his friends will make him stronger.” And then ichigo’s final thoughts about aizen, “is it possible that the hogyoku made him lose because he wanted to lose?”
It was amazing. The personalities, abilities and the grand war involving powerful factions. I also liked how it drove home what was in store for Karakura and it's people. No mercy because none would've been shown to the town and it's citizens.
Just an FYI, Ichigo's form in fight with Ulquiorra is also reffered to as "Vasto Lorde Ichigo", and Ichigo's form after training with his father before fight with Aizen is reffered to as a "Dangai Ichigo"
To be fair Izuru Kira’s fight was a really nice one , his explanation of his zanpakto is one of the nicest in my opinion , yumichikias Shikai is also good, if he was fighting a cooler opponent
Btw Please make that second Chanel bc i look forward to your videos, and watching you react to the show and the game at the same time would neet. Plus you wont get spoiled from the game.
I am glad you enjoyed the Vasto Lorde Ichigo form. So I was going to comment on it during your last video but didn't as I didn't want to give away anything important. But do you remember when Hollow Ichigo said, (paraphrasing) "You'd better not die because if you are about to die I will take control" etc. and you mentioned that was going to happen sometime in the future. Well there are a lot of people who read/watched Bleach who didn't pay attention and go around and say Vasto Lorde Ichigo that bodied Ulquoira was an asspull. So during your last video when you actually highlighted that message I was just nodding my head being like "Mespy gets it." and seeing your reaction to the fight you truly did get it
19:48 Man I still can't get over the fact that Wonderweiss fodderized Ukitake like he was nothing and then Shunsui coming in like you just murdered his brother from another mother 😭
One detail that i loved in this arc was that Aizen only "lost" the final battle because its what he truly desired. Since the Hogyoku grants its master deepest desire, all Aizen truly wanted was an equal. He realized that gaining so much power made him feel lonely, so he desired an equal to meet him at this level. This is why Ichigo alone could not defeat Aizen without Kisukes intervention.
I've been waiting for your videos and fullbringer arc has a different approach and I wanna see your thoughts on that arc because lots of people hate on it. Also just to add since you like ulquiorra, his name in japanese is "the one who cries" and his design has like a tear on both while his representation throughout the series is having no emotion or not understanding what an emotion is.
Ayyy banger video as always. It sucks that I was late, but oh well. The remaining espada, while few, will return later on. Ichigo gets his spiritual pressure back in the next arc. The soul king is gonna play a big part too, but not in the way you'd expect. And don't worry, Renji will finnaly get a good win soon. I hope you make a second channel, I'd be down to watch!
Yayy it's so AWESOME to see a Bleach video about of my new FAVOURITE Bleach channel Mepsy! I've watched Bleach for the first time 2 years ago in 2022 just before TYBW started can't believe it's that long time about it and now Bleach turns into 20 years old Anime, remake and new games Soul Resonance and Rebirth of Souls are coming, but about of the Bleaxh arcs Hueco Mundo and Arrancar arcs are the BEST ONES a lot better than Bount arc defienitily I LOVE Arrancar arc Ichigo VS Grimmjow and Ichigo VS Ulquiorra battles defienitily Ichigo VS Ulquiorra what SHOULDN'T end like that way, but Ichigo sadly cam't control he's TRUE HOLLOW Powers it was one of the saddest Bleach episodes of all tile defienitily after seeing Ichigo's crying. Arrancars are so AWESOME Nel, Harribel, Grimmjow and Ulquiorra are my FAVOURITE artancars Grimmjow's FINALLY here, but can't wait for Nel, Harribel and Rurika for TYBW this is the BEST time to be a Bleach fan still in 2024 and defienitily 2025 if Rebirth of Souls come sout then man I LOVE Bleach the BEST anime of all time: We're happy people in the house 😊❤
Not spoiling anything, but some reminders or things I want to point out for you to keep in mind or inform you of. Firstly, Shinji freaking out about Hiyori. I know I said before that the gore is censored but this was egregious as Hiyori was literally cut in half. So…yeah. In this arc during Renji and Chad’s training, they asked him to use Bankai and he said it’s not something you can really train with. He’s not wrong just keep it in mind. During the flashback arc 100 years ago, they mention a Kirio being promoted to Squad Zero. They will show up of course but I just wanted you to keep Kirio’s name in mind. Finally, Ichigo’s power jump with Full Hollow and power in general being all over the place in this arc is directly addressed in the next. The moment they mention it, you should understand. Kubo hints at it in the manga, but we thought it was metaphorical as it’s in the chapter sketches which are either literal or metaphorical. But Kubo meant it literally. I won’t say anything further but I wanted to point it out. Listening to you enjoy this show is great and I look forward to your future videos. At the rate you going, you’ll be joining us in watching the TYBW Arc live. Which has been a blast even for us manga readers as they’re giving so much new canon content
This is a mistake a lot of people make but Gin is so NOT a good guy. Yeah he wanted to take down Aizen but that was for his own reasons, of avenging his childhood friend / lover (whatever) Rangiku, rather than doing the good thing. People forget how he mentally tormented Rukiya before her execution for no reason except for his own sadistic nature.
Gin definitely not a good guy, i probably left a few audio clips of me calling him good in the video. I cut out a segment where I was recording and called him good and stopped when i remembered he let Aizen stab Momo, stabbed Hiyori, and let Aizen almost kill most of the captains 😭 definitely not good, but his motives didnt allign with Aizen like i initially thought
Some important advices and piece of information going further : 1) Hint : Arrancars invading Unohana was a wise move 2) Renji will not get a meaningful fight in the show 3) Read Cfyow (canon novel) after completing Tybw as it takes place after it and explains many plot points like Tosen's Backstory, Soul Society corruption , some more info on Aizen's motive 4)Watch ep 228 (its a filler but one of the best eps🌚🌚🌚 ifykyk)
ngl i did gloss over Kiras fight, i thought he was boring before but after his fight they showed him to be one of the more brutal characters, he did not have to execute that arrancar like that 😭
24:05 in the Can't fear your own world, we see about why Tosen is like that and which friend was killed and a really cool new villien from one of the nobel clans.
For me Ulquiorra's Segunda etapa was only second in hype to Eren manipulating Grisha from AOT. The kind of shivers I got when first seeing both of these scenes were just unexplainable 😁. They are truly the peak of their respective series, with Eren's scene honestly maybe even being the peak of all storytelling in general
You mentioned that Shunsui and Ukitake were the longest serving captains. You probably already know this but, they are the longest serving captains from those who graduated from the academy. Unohana and Yamamoto have served longer, since before the academy was founded. If I remember correctly it's played as a little joke in the flashback arc, as Shunsui forgets about Unohana and Ukitake corrects him.
27:30 Aizen killed the cleaner because he knew Ichigo would use it to take time to power up. His entire plan for Ichigo is to create a powerful opponent (perhaps an equal based on why he actually lost) so his evolution can continue to reach new heights. It’s wild that Aizen ONLY LOST because he accidentally nerfed himself at the end.
I think you'll like the next arc imo its top 3 arcs in the anime under soul society and tybw, it gets a lot of hate despite the fact that it's actually really fleshed out, it also gives insight to some of the questions you still have unanswered, have fun.
Congrats on finishing the Arrancar Arc this is the true peak of Bleach and is where imo it shines the most. First off with Nnoitora trust me when i say he is the most well written Espada despite how simple he seems on the surface. Btw you got it wrong Nnoitora is desoair and Ulqiora is emptiness. Nnoitora's despair long story short is he knows how meaningless it is to be a hollow and is constantly throwing himself in situations to die in battle and hates Nelliel for not granting him death. This ties in to Starrk's story later. Btw there's soo many parallels to Nnoitora and Kenpachi like them both using eyepatches but one does so to gain an advantage and one does so for an even fight, Kenpachi telling those he spares to be grateful meanwhile Nnoitora is ungrateful and many more. In the flashback the one thing you missed is the mention of Hiyori's previous captain being promoted to a Royal Guard which even had Aizen be surprised. This is important for later. Ulqiora's story you got it perfectly though personally I didn't really enjoy his fight as much as Grimmjow's mostly because it was just a one sided beat down and then it switched to a reverse one sided beatdown. I liked Grimmjow's fight more because it felt even and i liked knowing that you never really knew who would come out on top. Btw this fight and everything onwards was rushed and that the hellverse movie introduction is closer to what Kubo envisioned. As for the Arrancar that ran from Unohana just keep that in mind. Personally I liked the mini fights for everyone especially Kira's and Gin acknowledging his growth. It helped a lot if minor characters that never really got much of a spotlight despite being liutenants get to shine. Also what's wrong with Omaeda bro? 😭 As for Yammy honestly as much as i dislike him he's been stated and it can actually be argued for him to be the strongest Espada especially when you consider by the time Byakuya and Kenpachi were done not only was the arc already over but they were severely wounded. Also for Starrk I'd recommend comparing the way Aizen was talking to Barragan acting all arrogant and the like to Starrk. Its clear Aizen was showing some forms of caution around him. Orihime gets done dirty with a lot of her dialogue involving her liking ichigo from the start in the manga while in the anime she was scared and a lot of her dialogue was changed to be more generic while the manga made it clear that Orihime had a deep understanding of Ichigo and was constantly trying to learn more about him and getting ti know him better. Also she says Kurosaki Kun way too much in the anime which made her annoying to some people. Her main character arc involving the heart though is unchanged. For Wonderweiss he didn't actually help any of the Espadas 3-1 (except for Starrk dealing with Ukitake) Harribel broke out on her own and Barragan emerged completely unscathed by decaying Jakuho Raikoben. Starrk's story shows what happens once you become the most powerful Hollow you essentially roam a desert wasteland forever alone. It's a meaningless achievement and only results in showing that it's lonely at the top. Also it's interesting how Starrk is the only one that cares about all of the Espada due to his loneliness causing him to feel attached despite them not really caring much about him. Also yeah in the manga Hiyori got split in half by Gin speaking of which from what i can tell was neither on Soul Society or Aizen's side but rather was on his own side for revenge on Aizen after what he did to Rangiku. Tosen's story and Komamura's words do play a part in future events but that's as far as i can say. Trust me when I say Aizen is the most arrogant character in Bleach. Him doing all of this isnt really out of character when he sees the Soul King as something beneath him and calling it a "Thing". All of thise things he did were because he knew nobody could stop him he was above all and wanted to flex like he usually does like against Ichigo when he stopped him with one finger. Also Aizen watching Ichigo was foreshadowed in the substitute arc with a spy drone that Jinta destroyed after ichigo defeated a Menos Grande. Also id like you to keep in mind the design for Mugetsu. Trust me you're in for a ride with how sick it is.
@@Mespyy yep bro i think kubo's foreshadowing and writing are the best in the big 3 just because of how he's just able to tie things together there's a lot of things left unanswered even by the end of this arc that eventually kubo comes back to in later arcs.
Not sure if this is complete bs or truth but i remember reading something saying Ulquiorra is actually number 1 but Aizen assigned him number 4 just to fuck with people’s mental. So when Ichigo suspected Ulquiorra as being the leader, he might’ve been on to something. Seeing the number 4 was designed to just crush people’s morale. I mean if it’s true it makes sense, why go on if you find out there’s 3 other people even stronger than a power house like Ulquiorra. If you ask me I believe Ulquiorra is definitely number 1.
Nah bro ulquiorra might be stronger than harribel in his second release but barrangan and stark are more powerful than ulquiorra its just that they fought stronger opportunities and opponent who had perfect counter for them
Dude, you have to read "Spirits are Forever With You" light novel before you start the Fullbring Arc. It's a story that happened between this arc and Fullbring Arc. It's a really cool story. You'll see two new Kenpachi, know more about Espada #0 (I can assure you this time, it'll be interesting) and know more about the Bleach Universe in general. Please read it 🙏
Ayyy let's gooo! Some bits of info Yammy was espada number 0 cos he had the most power in his released form, but he certainly wasn't the strongest lol Also Ulquiorra wasn't the only one to have a second release, yammy also goes into a second release state later in his fight. As for the top 3 Espada, yeah they were a bit disappointing, but make no mistake all 3 of them are definitely stronger in their released forms than Ulquiorra in his first release. Kubo just focused more on the fights involving Ichigo than the side characters. Also gotta remember that even though he's super strong, Ichigo still isn't the strongest at this point (not talking about the Vasto Lorde form, just his normal bankai and hollow mask). Someone like shunsui was still significantly stronger than Ichigo, so he kinda made starrk look bad 😂 On starrk though, some info came out a few weeks ago, Kubo answered a question about starrk and it turns out that he was actually so strong that aizen waited until he had the hogyoku before he recruited Starrk because he didn't want to risk fighting someone so powerful without it. So for aizen to do something like that shows how strong Starrk was especially since you see Aizen bully Barragan when he was still a captain lol There's a bit more to tosen and his story in the "Can't Fear Your own World" novels which are technically canon and will hopefully be animated. Also aizen was the one that made him explode if you didn't catch that lol To answer your questions at the end that aren't spoiler related, The arrancars locations that didn't die does have an explanation you'll find out when you get to it Who or what is the soul king will be explained so I'd say that's pretty spoilery to talk about My boy renji will have his moment just have faith 😭😭 Lastly, the arrancars arc actually wasn't supposed to be as long as it was. Kubo was basically told to extend it by the studio because of how ridiculously popular Grimmjow and Ulquiorra were lol so the pacing suffered as a result. The anime was also basically caught up to the manga for most of this arcs run which is not only why it's interrupted by multiple filler arcs, but also why some shitty fight scenes are dragged out for way too long. The manga is as you already guessed, much much better haha so glad you're loving bleach and can't wait for you to get to TYBW sorry for the paragraphs
27:59 He killed the cleaner and also talked about it in front of Ichigo’s friends that he is coming back with new power. He was also buying time for Ichigo to train.
Also its funny, ichigo was the first to figure out that gin had ulterior motives. He said he didn't remember his sword or heart and that gin wasn't really looking at him. Then Gin calls him creepy for seeing through him just from that one interaction back in soul society.
Question, You're defo catching up to tybw part 3 before it ends and I was thinking about in which order you're gonna post it Are you gonna do part 1&2 in one video and wait for the 3rd to come out completely to make a vid or are you gonna react to each episode of part 3 separately when it comes out? Or something completely different
thats a good question that i dont know the answer to 💀 i might just catch up as soon as i can and start dropping videos when the new part 3 episodes release
You know , when Ichigo was getting beaten up by 5th espadae's lieutenant all hope were gone , a thought came to my mind " What if kenpachi showed up " but I convinced my self there was no way that ,that was going to happen and it really happened .....man I was so hyped I was jumping and that and that . He really showed up ,.. I was so happy..
Next 2 arcs are the best in the series imo though opinions may vary. Either way you blazed through the longest stretch. And the slowest. From this point on the arcs are actually decently paced and not that long. So no need to rush them too quickly. There’s a novel that has don kanonji as one of the main characters but it’s over a decade old now not likely to be animated. In the arrancar arc orihime isn’t that different to the manga. They changed scenes with her early on but it didn’t really happen after the start. They did do her dirty in some parts. Like in parts where they have to pad it out they don’t bother to make her do anything or give something to say so she repeats Ichigo’s name a bunch more times. She’s not a different character or anything to the manga but I will say better to wait until the end of the series before deciding on her character too much. To illustrate how some decisions made in the old anime are just unforgivable omaeda vs the mammoth arrancar literally is like 5 times longer than the manga they added scenes to it and everything. In the manga it ended when soifon got thrown into him. But on the other hand they didn’t add anything to ichigo vs aizen. Like in Naruto the final Naruto vs sasuke had cool additions that weren’t in the manga like sasuke using kirin again. But even through they do so much for the worst parts they don’t give anything to the actual good bits.
Ichigo will get his powers back at some point during the lost Agent ark otherwise known as the full bring . This is the art mostly dedicated towards IT goes personal character development. This of course takes place right before the thousand year blood war and also spoilers but Kubo is actually bringing the bleach manga back for a new arc called no breaths from hell. There’s also a spin off of bleach cold burn the witch that takes place after the thousand year blood war, along with a novel trilogy there’s also two novels that are meant to take in between at the end of the Iran car saga, and the lost Agent saga
Gin plan is really complicated: 1st he needs to be near Izen when he has Sword out in order to touch it and gain Illusoin Immunity, 2nd he needed to be in Bankai at that MOMENT as well. now imagine how rare that must be...

My guy, Aizen destroyed the cleaner for the sole purpose to power up Ichigo, he even had a line of dialogue to Ichigo's friends later on, "Ichigo Kurosaki will come, and with new powers"

ulquiorra’s death was beautiful, bleach be writing character deaths so good.

Imo Fullbring was GOD TIER!

The soul king is pretty simply a kind of god, he basically made the bleach world. Yeah so renji uh.. maybe 1 or 2, but yk that's a lot for being renji.
The Bleach novels Can't Fear Your Own World gives a lot of extra backstory to Tosen. It really develops his character a lot.
Gin and Grimmjow are amongst some of my favorite characters in the series. Their designs, demeanor, backstory, motives, abilities...they're just peak characters.
6:42 Shunsui, Ukitake and Unohana. They say that in the flashback that Unohana was there even before them, so the first one. Might remember that. :)
Unohana is an OG mommy
bro im so hyped that ur watching bleach since i watched it recently and fell in love w it, UR NOT READY FOR TYBW!!!!
The clip is in youtube if ur interested, and more full hollow Ichigo is always welcomed, considering it's short life span
To add to the Tosen stuff, it goes much more indepth in the Can't fear your own world novels which are not animated and I doubt they get an adaptation anytime soon

Tosen is an Amazing character but to see what really drives him, you have to read a novel that post the TYBW. Also Ichigo realized Aizen deep inside was so lonely he wanted someone to match him and so in losing he still won.
I like your favorites bankais, interested to see how it changes as you move through the next 2 arcs, definitely some heavy hitters yet to be revealed
I can't wait for the Fullbringers arc video, there is also something to talk about.
the conversation Ichigo had with his father after finding out he was a soul reaper >>>
Really is underrated, best animation of the series until TYBW. Really neat tone at the start
Really enjoyed this video rip Gin :,)
Also the arrancars that didn’t die are still in hueco mundo and just kind of live there now LMAO they won’t be relavent until tybw
27:30 Aizen destroyed the cleaner to let one more chance to Ichigo to evolve to test his powers. He says that himself when he's fighting Ichigo.
i thought that at first but then he lost in the end. i must have missed that line though thank you
@@Mespyy Np. Love your videos. Can't wait to reach TYBW. :)
fun fact: the fake karakura town arc is the most heavily censored arc in the anime.
Fullbring arc is my favorite arc of bleach before TYBW

Yo, your pace is amazing, you're gonna love the new animation when you get to TYBW. A couple of things:
Orihime was done dirty in the anime for 2 main reasons - no 1 the anime censorship really screwed over the severity of the injuries she and the others sustained (Ishida's arm was ripped off by Ulquiorra, half her face was mangled, the 2 girls that were harassing her got really f-ed up by Grimmjow, etc.), and by proxy it kinda nerfed her power.
@@Mespyy I mean menoly only had her legs left and orihime still revived her. I dont think you can be more dead than this.
I was gonna comment this! Thanks man.
@@Mespyy from this point on, all the pacing issues are mostly gone, so even if you dfw some fights, they don't drag on. can't wait to hear your thoughts on fulbring, much love brother
I'm having nostalgia fr
Bro don't skip the upcoming fullbringer arc though u might not find it as peak as arrancar arc
Aizen really did master the art of grooming children, huh 😂😂
2nd channel would be cool
2:22 Remember that, because it's going to make sense in the far future.
Imagine people's reaction to the Aizen truth speech to Ichigo when they saw it in ongoing...
I aint gotta.
I was there and, whoA baby was that FIY YRE!

6:45 I think you missed it here, it's subtle but they discuss how ukitake and shunsui are the longest tenured outside of unohana.

Gin is so forever goated
Some important advices and piece of information going further :
1) Hint : Arrancars invading Unohana was a wise move
2) Renji will not get a meaningful fight in the show
3) Read Cfyow (canon novel) after completing Tybw as it takes place after it and explains many plot points like Tosen's Backstory, Soul Society corruption , some more info on Aizen's motive
4)Watch ep 228 (its a filler but one of the best eps🌚🌚🌚 ifykyk)
What a peak ending of the video
yoooo BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!
Thank you for the video.
Are you gonna do TYBW by the parts?
this video is a banger like this arc
That outro was clean!
I might be biased cuz Kira is one of my favorite lieutenants , but it was nice to finally see him get his redemption there
ngl i did gloss over Kiras fight, i thought he was boring before but after his fight they showed him to be one of the more brutal characters, he did not have to execute that arrancar like that 😭
@ bro was a savage at the end of that fight, i honestly can’t wait for you to start Thousand Year Blood War, ik the reaction videos are gonna be peak
Waiting each week for your vids
I find it so engaging to see someone new fall in love with Bleach it feels smt like raising your kid ad becoming proud y'know?
Favourite episode honourable mentions “ep 228”
My kinda man
24:05 in the Can't fear your own world, we see about why Tosen is like that and which friend was killed and a really cool new villien from one of the nobel clans.
YESS THE GOAT RETURNS!!! fuck dude you have been sounding so hype in this video hell yeah ^-^
Ichigo got taken over by his hollow in the bount arc against that spider thingy as well. It was dope.
As for Yammy honestly as much as i dislike him he's been stated and it can actually be argued for him to be the strongest Espada especially when you consider by the time Byakuya and Kenpachi were done not only was the arc already over but they were severely wounded.
Trust me you're in for a ride with how sick it is.
i like how theres so many “keep that in minds” no question is left unanswered when im watching Bleach, everything plays a role eventually
@@MespyyThat's how you know Kubo is a good writer finding ways to tie in everything together.
@@Mespyy yep bro i think kubo's foreshadowing and writing are the best in the big 3 just because of how he's just able to tie things together there's a lot of things left unanswered even by the end of this arc that eventually kubo comes back to in later arcs.
i can not wait for tybw!!!!!
Babe wake up Mespy posted
Some bits of info
Yammy was espada number 0 cos he had the most power in his released form, but he certainly wasn't the strongest lol
Also Ulquiorra wasn't the only one to have a second release, yammy also goes into a second release state later in his fight.
Someone like shunsui was still significantly stronger than Ichigo, so he kinda made starrk look bad 😂
On starrk though, some info came out a few weeks ago, Kubo answered a question about starrk and it turns out that he was actually so strong that aizen waited until he had the hogyoku before he recruited Starrk because he didn't want to risk fighting someone so powerful without it. So for aizen to do something like that shows how strong Starrk was especially since you see Aizen bully Barragan when he was still a captain lol
There's a bit more to tosen and his story in the "Can't Fear Your own World" novels which are technically canon and will hopefully be animated. Also aizen was the one that made him explode if you didn't catch that lol
To answer your questions at the end that aren't spoiler related,
The arrancars locations that didn't die does have an explanation you'll find out when you get to it
Who or what is the soul king will be explained so I'd say that's pretty spoilery to talk about
My boy renji will have his moment just have faith 😭😭
Lastly, the arrancars arc actually wasn't supposed to be as long as it was.
The stuff that happened back in the past with Aizen in the soul society was just around 100 years, not multiple hundreds.
Yo, I recommend checking out Bleach Unmasked, as it has Ulquiorra’s backstory.
The way Wonderweiss was acting around Gin also kinda foreshadowed this but Tosen just summed it up as "you give off bad vibes bro"
Question, You're defo catching up to tybw part 3 before it ends and I was thinking about in which order you're gonna post it
Are you gonna do part 1&2 in one video and wait for the 3rd to come out completely to make a vid or are you gonna react to each episode of part 3 separately when it comes out? Or something completely different
thats a good question that i dont know the answer to 💀 i might just catch up as soon as i can and start dropping videos when the new part 3 episodes release
@@Mespyy ohh alralr ty for answering
You know , when Ichigo was getting beaten up by 5th espadae's lieutenant all hope were gone , a thought came to my mind " What if kenpachi showed up " but I convinced my self there was no way that ,that was going to happen and it really happened .....man I was so hyped I was jumping and that and that . He really showed up ,.. I was so happy..
All of your questions have been answered in next two arcs so don't worry just binge watch it
Next 2 arcs are the best in the series imo though opinions may vary.
Oh trust there's a reason they didn't want to fight Unohana
3:46 He's ate the Greatest Devil Fruit that even Oda didn’t knew existed. 😅
Gin plan is really complicated: 1st he needs to be near Izen when he has Sword out in order to touch it and gain Illusoin Immunity, 2nd he needed to be in Bankai at that MOMENT as well. now imagine how rare that must be...
