@TH-cam Viewer I think you are both onto something. With HHH in charge, FTR now has leverage. The WWE is in need of tag teams. They don't have a legitimately believable tag team to take the belts off of the Usos, that fans would be truly satisfied with. There are two that fit the bill: The Briscoes and FTR. FTR doesn't have to put up with as much BS as they used to.
@TH-cam Viewer I’ll explain what I mean. You take any guy and beat Hulk Hogan. You can’t take any guy and beat Hulk Hogan and not have the crowd going, ‘What? Him? He beat Hogan? He couldn’t even beat the Brooklyn Brawler last week. This doesn’t make any sense’ or, ‘Am I supposed to believe that this guy is really going to challenge Big Boss Man, and Earthquake and Savage?’ When you have a title for this long, you build it so that losing it truly means something historic. The reason why I don't use Twitter is cause it's just toxic. People can get up in arms about the most simplest things ever like how "Uncle Dave" would get upset about people not liking The Young Ducks, or whatever.
The other day Dave though the “your daddy’s not here anymore,” promo by Roman was a reference to gargano instead of it obviously being about Vince. The guy is definitely in his own little bubble.

The whole exchange was great, I completely agree with Dax. The most outrageous aspect of this wasn’t from the direct exchange though, rather it was loads of individuals coming at Dax for defending Cornette by accusing Corny of being racist, transphobic, sexist, etc. Of course none of those claims were backed by real evidence. Finally, a current wrestler comes out and calls out Dave on some of his bullshit, I’m sure there are quite a few more who feel the same as Dax.

It’s a crack on Kenny wrestling children and losing to them you smeared on nutspackle. Anybody knows The Bucks would be turned upside down for change by the local 8th grade bully.
Meltzer really should have let this one go, because he put himself into a position where he has to either admit what the Bucks are doing that seems rather obvious, or that Tony Khan doesn’t know how to book because he apparently set up the rubber match between his two top tag teams completely by accident and never paid it off. So Dave is either not bright enough to see the flaws in the presentation, or his integrity is now secondary to protecting his fluffers.
Dave tends to pick favorites and makes things up instead of actually paying attention. This show is full of opinion and tries not to say this is all fact all truth and so on. It does not attempt to change history and does do research where things maybe in doubt. Jim has been right in my opinion and is funny, I am entertained even when I disagree on his opinion, I do not disagree on his recollections because they tend to be correct. Dave once stated 1,000 fans in attendence left the WWE during a segment that was filmed and did not show even 10 people leave, however that did occur on AEW, Dave did not mention it. There was an excuse later but Dave stayed silent to protect his friends.
Uncle Dave is full of shit. I did appreciate his OPINION in wrestling and all the work he's done over the years covering Puroresu and Lucha Libre but other than that he's gotta be the most biased wrestling commentator nowadays. Back then I saw it more as a well-intentioned resistance against the overwhelming popularity and pull of the wwe. And it kinda worked wonders in hindsight although as time has passed by and we all became smarter to the business, his position changed and made the guy unbearable. ESPECIALLY when taking into consideration the fact that Angle, Austin, Benoit, Foley, Guerrero, Harts, Lesnar, Michaels, Mr Perfect, Ramon, Rock, Undertaker, Savage and Vader have less 5 star matches than most modern indie wrestlers. Him overrating Japanese matches was just the beginning of the end...
@@lodi70005 I know when they came to my town, they barely filled a quarter of the arena (holds 8500) and when Cody Rhodes started talking at the end of the show, people were leaving. Including me.
This is rather clear. At the time that the Young Bucks had the titles, they knew that FTR was going to do a rematch with the Briscoes that was going to get rave reviews. At that point, the fans were going to want to see the rubber match between FTR and the Young Bucks, for all of the titles, and they were going to want to see FTR win. So, in order to avoid that, the Young Bucks lost the titles in a triple threat match where it was actually Ricky Starks who was pinned by Swerve, not one of the Young Bucks. They are now in a program to their feud with their friends where they are trying to babyface themselves now, with Omega returning soon. Meanwhile, Swerve and Lee are feuding with a low card group and FTR is doing nothing outside of ROH.

We don't need to be disarming the people, we just need to have a system close to what Japan has. Japan does such a great job with gun regulation that gun violence is damn near nonexistent. Shinzo Abe's assassination was I believe the first time gun violence had occurred in decades. They do have other types of violence with knives and other things though, so it's far from perfect. If you make guns almost impossible for psychos to get, they are going to use something else instead. So many things can be used to kill, and you can't ban people from owning most of those things (knives, hammers, box cutters, shovels etc.)
Yeah, but you can't mow down hundreds of people in under 10 seconds with a shovel. I'm from Australia, our gun laws are pretty strict, but you can get them. No assault weapons or fast firing shotguns, just the classics. We still have shootings/gun crime, but it's usually always gang or drug related. No mass shootings, nobody shooting up schools or cinemas and killing hundreds of people. And I have to say, it's a pretty nice feeling knowing nobody around me has a minigun in the trunk of their car and loose grenades in their pocket. On the other hand, I respect you Americans for having a country where the government puts responsibility on the population. That is to say, you're allowed guns, but told you shouldn't use them. There's definitely more freedom in that than having them banned completely like here in Australia. And tbh, if I lived in America, I'd probably want a gun for self defence just because everyone else has one. In a perfect world, I'd have that minigun up front like the Batmobile, but one step at a time. Obviously there are deeper root causes that make a kid decide to shoot up his school, but those are never going to be addressed by society. I can think of a few kids in highschool who would have gone on a rampage if they could, one even brought a knife and tried to stab someone. You'll never solve those underlying causes, so it's probably just easier for you guys to tighten up restrictions. If the NRA allows it.
@@VitZ9 Absolutely, it is a complex issue and there is no perfect solution. I actually think that if more good people carried concealed weapons it would help quite a bit, because if a shooting happened they could take out the shooter very quickly. With a gun ban, you have to wait for the police to get there which could take awhile. It could mean the difference between 50 people dead or just 2 or 3. The vast majority of the good people in this country don't carry around a concealed weapon though, even if they are allowed to (not all states allow it.)

I’m subbed to f4wonline’s TH-cam page and actually enjoy listening to Bryan Alvarez and Vinny’s recap segments..even when Alvarez is being extremely opinionated and one-sided, I can still tolerate him. Dave Meltzer on the other hand, is one of the most insufferable people to have to listen to talk about wrestling. He sounds like a person who thinks their view on something is the standard with which every wrestling fan’s opinion must pass through. He is a mark for himself and has spent way too much time in his office and on a computer to realize that he’s just a wrestling fan hermit who needs to know his role and shut his mouth.
I'm kinda in the same boat as you, I'm a big bryan and vinny fan (along with Lance and granny), but the thing that irritates me about bryan (and to a greater extent Dave Meltzer), when aew screws up, or have crappy ratings, bryan and dave would come up with every excuse in the book for them. I haven't watched wwe since 2010, I tried watching aew the first 2 or 3 months, I couldn't get into it. AEW claimed to be an alternative, but all they are is the diet coke of wwe.

Uncle Dave rants are timeless forever!

That's what MSNBC/CNN tell him to think, even though they have activist journalists who are.
@@Hellwolf36 Jim talks about Meltzer's bias and journalism background, but the light still doesn't come on.
Didn't I see a bunch of lunatics at a grocery store dumping milk in the aisle to protest global warming? Do we want to amend your statement, Jim?
"Looks like someone put a wig on a head of broccoli 🥦 " 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Meltzer is one of the worst wrestling minds. His star ratings is worst and should not be paid attention to.
Truth
Neither Corny nor Last knowing "ratio" is so on brand.
Nothing can be said to sum up Jim's political takes better than him saying left-wing lunatics do not exist.
Left-wing lunatics are mostly college students and political organizations with a handful of members. Right-wing lunatics are getting elected to prominent political offices.
The Alex Jones rant is an instant classic
Dave ran with a story about Tommy Rogers' death that was untrue. I interviewed Lolly Griffin, he was Crybaby Buxton in Global, who was real close with Tommy. Lolly messaged Dave after he reported that it was a suicide or some shit and Dave responded back, and I've seen it, "I'm just trying to move papers." Like it or not, the wrestling media is no different from the mainstream media.
How did he reply? With email? Would love to see that.
The funniest thing about this is they're really not gonna talk about Flair's last match if this can get a reaction quickly lol.
It’s called “ratio’d” Dave was ratio’d on twitter.
“There’s is no left-wing Democrat lunatic.”
Right, because for Democrats lunacy is the rule, not the exception
There the ones who are gonna start World War 3! China aren’t too happy right now!
@@normaningemann3868 Eh, it’s not so much action that will cause China to start WW3, but gross incompetence and inaction at the helm of government
I definitely use my turn signals. We live in a society
Dax Harwood is a class act. Great guy.
You don’t know him
@@Xxrocknrollgod You don't know that.
He is a thin-skinned crybaby who needs to read tweets more carefully before he responds.
@@Jack91790Say that to his face.
Jim trends on Twitter without a smartphone and he trends on Instagram too 😂😂😂😂. Jim is a hall of famer who is still great and very entertaining with Brian Last.
And i thought the Baseball Twitter community was toxic
Nothing compares to soccer Twitter. It's almost as bad as political Twitter.
@@natebaxter9551 I would assume so for Soccer. People who join political Twitter just want to look for fights
Lol I love Jim always quoting Davy boy smiths “I wasn’t even there”
It was Owen!
Edit: May they both RIP
Since this video is on Dave Meltzer & Alex Jones, here’s my current wrestling conspiracy theory: Cody knew Vince would be forced out and HHH would take the reigns. He then said he could get MJF in but the only way for that to happen is MJF getting himself fired(taken off tv until his contract expires) and now FTR is shooting for the same thing and know going after Dave is a sure way to piss off The Bucks,Omega and Tony and be fired as well. Idc what they say…they wanna be WWE guys and with Vince out, they will be. JR,MJF,FTR,Wardlow will all be in WWE in the next 5yrs.
Sounds overly complicated when they could just ask for a release
I like it.
Because hunter is gonna admit wwe can't create stars and resign exwwe aew cast-off to lucrative deals and push them because fans . Bs
Don’t know but if HHH signed a couple of tag teams, I would love him to sign the Briscoe’s especially if raw is going pg-14. Would love to see a programme between FTR, Briscoe’s and USO’s
Five years, huh? 🤣
