I love the lesson within the lesson, in that leaving space allows not only the listener to digest the previous solo, but allows the other player time for that ‘set up.’ It’s really a musical conversation with consideration.
I am so glad to hear Gary share his thoughts about the guitar shredders and how he has to deal with this also, I was thinking it was only me who had that going on, Thx great lessons
Man, such good information here! And I love how you guys demonstrated what you were talking about. As an amateur harmonica player, having a regular jam I go to, I will definitely keep this stuff in mind.
Sorry, to hear ya wrecked Gary. hope your mending well always enjoyed your chops had the pleasure to hear in the bay area in the early 90s..SPA convention in San Jose was a great seminar, thank you sir
Je me suis bien amusé avec mon harmonica à essayer de vous imiter. I ordered improvising blues harmonica, but I don't understand very good English, I hope I could work well anyway. I look forward to receiving it. Thank you.
Based on their knowledge and experience, these two could write a book entitled Chicago Blues Harp Players. It would enhance them personally and their notoriety. - Mr J
More bands could do this instead of making it a competition which completely disrupt the music and the whole performance not to mention it's no longer enjoyable for the audience AR the players

After a year dry spell of no inspiration. This video taught me more than the first year of playing
Really enjoy the jam. Beautiful blues play.
Great stuff. Really enjoyed that and learned some things, like when not to play and leave some space. Not so easy. Good job guys.
Fantastic! I have a long long way to get to solos but am inspired by this. Amazing tone!
