    I like how you ran the main power. will probably use that in my blazer. I'm installing a pair of 10's tomorrow

      yup it works great still. just cut out the rubber grommet a bit more wider then stuff it back in. good to go...

      @fiftyhunnug 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      cool man. I'll probably do the rest a bit different. Going to do it all down the middle. I have a 2 door though. a little less open area to have to hide it in

      +fiftyhunnug yup whatever u want man. i ran my power wire down the side of doors and ran the rca wires through the center. there are endless options. ....

    You can put the amp under the seat just lay the rear seat down and it will slide under it

    If you pull up the carpet under the seat the frame is down there so you can an even better ground

    Good video. Looking to see how to run my power for my Sonoma. That ground wire tho. There’s a big difference between 8 AWG and 4 AWG, but if it works it works. Thanks!

    They just should have set up these truck for a amp from the factory...man it would have saved so much time and hassle

  • @luvdady

    yeah i got a 98 2 door , the perfect place through the firewall but the backseats are kind of a bitch to get behind the panels

    how did you install it to the side post

    • @bam6972
      @bam6972  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      part stores will have a terminal to connect on the side post and will allow for connections to be bolted on. look at 9:30 in video

  • @jeffanderson7256
    @jeffanderson7256 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    How did you get the power wire on that god dammed side post battery, i had my system hooked up for a few weeks on my s10 and i just barely was able to get the bolt on the terminal to bite and my positive on my battery came off while i was driving

    • @bam6972
      @bam6972  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      cut the red boot off and get a side post bolt that allows for other connections to be put on. they have them at the parts stores

    Think this could fit 1/0 if I cut the antenna wire?

    • @tylerpippin2553
      @tylerpippin2553 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you shouldn't need to cut the antenna its a big hole.

      Bass Head where did you mount your amp?

    • @basshead9872
      @basshead9872 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Long-dong Von Braun I got a 95 blazer. My 1/0 fit fine and my amp has just enough room to be behind the box on the floor not mounted

    • @long-dongvonbraun501
      @long-dongvonbraun501 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bass Head thanks for the reply. I have an 01 Jimmy and want to hide the amp under the rear seat somewhere.

    • @basshead9872
      @basshead9872 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Long-dong Von Braun no room under seats in mine for my amp. I’m running 1500rms

  • @Sharker2468
    @Sharker2468 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    why doesn't anybody just mount the amp to your sub it makes it way easier and it won't overheat

    • @bam6972
      @bam6972  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yea. I guess if there were any reason it would be to minimize the vibration the amp would get.

    • @joshshepherd7874
      @joshshepherd7874 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Sharker2468 because you shouldn't put holes in your box..

    • @randomdaily6853
      @randomdaily6853 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can vibrate and take away life of the amps components and maybe rattle them apart. If you have an expensive amp i would suggest on not doing that

    Dude why waste your time running 8 gauge (i run 8 gauge for speaker wire) you know you should be running minimum 4 gauge why not just run that at the beginning and save yourself the time and hassle my app is an 850.2 and I run 0 gauge that way if I have to upgrade the amp I don't have to touch the wire

    • @bam6972
      @bam6972  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      yea i regret not running 4 gauge . but it was free at the time
