cool man. I'll probably do the rest a bit different. Going to do it all down the middle. I have a 2 door though. a little less open area to have to hide it in
+fiftyhunnug yup whatever u want man. i ran my power wire down the side of doors and ran the rca wires through the center. there are endless options. ....
Good video. Looking to see how to run my power for my Sonoma. That ground wire tho. There’s a big difference between 8 AWG and 4 AWG, but if it works it works. Thanks!
How did you get the power wire on that god dammed side post battery, i had my system hooked up for a few weeks on my s10 and i just barely was able to get the bolt on the terminal to bite and my positive on my battery came off while i was driving
Dude why waste your time running 8 gauge (i run 8 gauge for speaker wire) you know you should be running minimum 4 gauge why not just run that at the beginning and save yourself the time and hassle my app is an 850.2 and I run 0 gauge that way if I have to upgrade the amp I don't have to touch the wire
Thanks for sharing you just saved me a bunch of time figuring out best spot to go through the firewall
You are the man!! You helped me save so much time finding a way into the firewall.
I like how you ran the main power. will probably use that in my blazer. I'm installing a pair of 10's tomorrow
yup it works great still. just cut out the rubber grommet a bit more wider then stuff it back in. good to go...

Thank u for sharing this video it really helped more than any other video we watches thank u again
Thank You sir. Your information helped me find the fire wall hole.
You can put the amp under the seat just lay the rear seat down and it will slide under it
thankyou, i literally stopped putting mine in because i couldn't figure out where to run the power cable
If you pull up the carpet under the seat the frame is down there so you can an even better ground
I’ll be running 0 gauge wire hopefully it’ll fit
those amps push some power! i had one and it was a beast.
yes they do. lots of power.
Thanks for sharing you just made my life a whole lot simpler! Lol
Ya that ground is very good thats what i hooked my big ass sound system to and i tested the ground

They just should have set up these truck for a amp from the factory...man it would have saved so much time and hassle
Where's the amp that was in it before you put that in
yeah i got a 98 2 door , the perfect place through the firewall but the backseats are kind of a bitch to get behind the panels
thanks man, really helpful.
how did you bypass the factory amp
What size is your speakers
Im gonna try running 0 guage in my 02 single cab 😜
how did you install it to the side post
part stores will have a terminal to connect on the side post and will allow for connections to be bolted on. look at 9:30 in video

cut the red boot off and get a side post bolt that allows for other connections to be put on. they have them at the parts stores
+bam6972 thanks man
+bam6972 what exactly do i ask for? And any parts store?
Thats the worst way to run through the firewall. Hope you like water in your cab
Looks dangerous af
totally safe... lol. had it this way for 4 years and still kicken it
You should see mine 😂
Think this could fit 1/0 if I cut the antenna wire?
Yes, you shouldn't need to cut the antenna its a big hole.
Bass Head where did you mount your amp?
Long-dong Von Braun I got a 95 blazer. My 1/0 fit fine and my amp has just enough room to be behind the box on the floor not mounted
Bass Head thanks for the reply. I have an 01 Jimmy and want to hide the amp under the rear seat somewhere.
Long-dong Von Braun no room under seats in mine for my amp. I’m running 1500rms
why doesn't anybody just mount the amp to your sub it makes it way easier and it won't overheat
yea. I guess if there were any reason it would be to minimize the vibration the amp would get.
Sharker2468 because you shouldn't put holes in your box..
It can vibrate and take away life of the amps components and maybe rattle them apart. If you have an expensive amp i would suggest on not doing that
Did that ground ever work
works great

yea i regret not running 4 gauge . but it was free at the time
