Brother,The 2.0 is an assault squad,they use boltgun and chainsaw meanwhile the 3.0 is Tactical squad just like the 1.0,they use bolter rifle,the main reason i poed 4 of the 3.0 is cos i rly like Tactical squad lol oh and theres also 1.0 assault marine which is the one who ride the bike i forgot the name something like brother Tetanus like that
Thanks for clarifying the different roles of intercessor, you are right, they have different shoulder sign, one is assault and one is Tactical.
The only reason i would buy the 3.0 is because of the hands, the hands on 3.0 can actually hold the bolter properly

@@ac-studio Its ok. I have a couple of " gripes."
First, I'm afraid to manipulate it much as I worry about breaking something, and it's kind of pricey to have a " malfunction."
Which segues nicely into my other issue; the price. For $25 + it's a little light on accessories. I know they, as characters, arent typically carrying alot of gear, but, how about a unmasked head, or more hands.
One other thing is that they could have done some highlighting of the edges. It did not have to be as extensive as it was with the first version ( which I think that they overdid a little. )
I actually got the imperial fists version of this guy, and he has a lot of black shading. It isn't at the level of tor or the newer IF stuff with the brown shading and dirt spackle, but definitely more than the ultramarine seems to have.
oh wow.. so Joytoy applied diff weathering on diff armies... so it really tell us their design and production inconsistencies are common..
I was trying to figure out why my Victrix Guard (V1) looked so puny compared to my V2 figures and realized it’s because the V1 chest piece has a smaller circumference. You don’t notice it until you put them side by side, but your brain definitely picks up on it subconsciously. The V2 and V3 figures look bulkier, stronger, and more “heroic” due to the bigger chest pieces. It’s one of the more subtle changes, yet makes a huge difference in our perception.
When they started make them ,taller and taller, they lost me.(The lack of shadows also)😕
I think the 3.0 figures will be much harder to be fitted onto the Outrider and ATV Invader...
So from now on these features will be on all new space marines? the best thing is the new hands... but how do you understand now which ones have the new features? Are the new White Consuls upgraded to the new type?
I wish they would stop messing with the heights of these dudes. It annoys me to see height inconsistencies in my collection when I have them lined up even if they are very slightly off. 🤷🏻♂
I guess no need to worry too much on the height, because the difference is not too obvious, but the differences on the body proportion looks more obvious.
And the colours in 2.0 is better

Especially if the main change in the torso can I change it from 3.0 to 2.0 and vice versa?
I think so for the arms and legs , but the ball joint on the waist is different size.
Does the joints feel fragile on the 3.0 body?
Not really, it is good so far.
Will the 3.0 fit in the ATV okay? I have the Ultramarines ATV but need 2 actual Ultramarines to man it lol
I am not sure as I scratch-built my own ATV, so I don't have the Joytoy ATV...
intercessor no.1 is an assault marine the sad thing is joytoy is stupid
v3 hands is good but finger(pointing finger and middle) are big and i have to drill the ball socket because the barbell gap is to long
torso is to thin
i bought the blood angel sad only veteran or sergeant use blood and wing chest aquila
belt not accurate same with the groin armor (but joytoy is lazy to change) bandai is accurate (hope they make 1/18)
dude v3 is cheaper in my country 1300 peso(23.41US) vs 1800- 1700 peso (32US to 30 US) for V2
LOL.. A comment by reaganlaut9916 confirms that 3.0 is tactical intercessor, so if 1.0 is a assault marine then why they have bolters.... Wonder why I am confused...
@@ac-studio what I mean the space marine with a heavy pistol is a assault marine ( they are created for bike , the guy with an x shoulder plate design) so they made a mistake for the assault marine blood angel
no shading, no high lights, add extra kibles "a lot" cheaper and look much cartoony like rest of new figures. at least we can all choose the style we like i guess.
JoyToy confirmed they'll be going back to shading due to the outcry. Thankfully right before two figures I was waiting for! The Salamanders captain was originally just matte, but in his new pictures he's shaded.
That was the point of these guys. Less paintwork so people could army-build cheaper!

Do all of the dark angels come with the 3.0 or 2.0 body, seems as if you need these in hand to make that distinction ?

Is thoose figures worth buying?
I've got a 3.0 Intercessor, and it's worth the money based on the price. Only about 20$. They're still good figures, they just didn't shade them or give them edge highlights. Honestly I'd prefer to pay 30$ and get them shaded...

🤔 I got some decisions to make.
The price is cheap (probably the cheapest Joytoy Warhammer figure), so just get it!
Shoulder pauldron articulation is still trash though.
I don't like it( 3.0) because it gives a very plastic impression due to the painting...
