- This was made for those who wanted to relive the past Christmases in SYRACUSE, New York. Please share with your family and friends. Merry Christmas. A forgotten time to a forgotten great christmas song of our city..
Music sung by Benny Mardones ( trashsite Blues band original song)
Syracuse was a GREAT place to grow up, and an even better place to move from . I will show this video to friends who can't believe the ghost town Downtown Syracuse has become was once a thriving metropolis . Woolworths pizza , Little China Restaurant, hot doughnuts at Downeyflake , I miss the food the most!
I so miss the old days...what a special place this was when I was growing up...Downtown was the best place to be back then...Merry Christmas everyone!
I grew up in Auburn in the 60s. Syracuse may as well have been New York City. I went there for the airport and to Fairmount Fair about once or twice a year. It seemed too far for some reason. Or maybe Auburn had everything we needed. YEt when people ask where I'm from I always say I'm from Syracuse.
Miss this time of my life all my family were alive. I still have an aunt alive and a few cousins. Miss my mom, dad, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandparents.
Back before the city went right down the drain.
Awwww.... I miss Edwards Department Store!!
As a boy, I rode the trolleys. As an early teen I operated a lab for Dr. Hoffmman o Warren St. As a college student I was a train announce at NYCRR. And the shot of Memorial Hospital was special . . . where I met my wife when I worked in the laboratory.
Brings back many memories , when growing up in Syracuse N.Y. area.
No. I'm not legally blind. The finest people I've met are from Syracuse, the best architecture is in Syracuse, the most interesting history is from Syracuse, the most talented people I've met are from Syracuse, and there's no jews, or atleast, not too many.
shop there in the 60's when it was still nice downtown
This is so cool,I remember it well:) Dey Brothers and Sibleys, lunch at woolworths:)
Still a beautiful place. My home town.
