- One extremely strong build which I expected to be good, but not that much. The Medium class is not even close to dead, as many people believe, especially with the latest changes to the stamina of the heavy users. I present you the one for all purposes PvP Spear/Rapier build which I play in all types of content as mele.

25 int gives backstab and random critical hits, 50 int gives +5% damage to targets with overtime effects but ur saying in the video that 25int will give you bonus damage for all the bleeding target
That's correct. I messed it up. You get 5% on critical/backstab hits with 25 INT.
Thanks for the video. Ive been looking for a melee build. Tried this one and its very very fun and strong. Even missing most of the weapon perks and still owns. Got like 18-2 in first opr.
As im new to melee, do you have any tips for killing ranged / healers? Even with fleche and skewer its hard to catch them
Well, that's why I said that skill and experience are needed to perform best with the build. Most of the light users might give you some challenge, as you need to chase them, but with the time you will do it with ease. It is all about dodging and slow approaching while not losing too much HP for it.
Have you tried this in war? How is it? Cleanse pot will easily clear the dot from flurry so FF might be just voided in certain scenario. For Spear, you don't have CC abilities, so even for kill squad you might miss some kill potentials in war. Thoughts? If you can upload a video showing this build in War, that would be awesome

Why not use one or two pieces of the frigid dawn set? Probably more damage reduction than 2xshirking fort
Because the build is based on dodges and high fortify protection. Frigid set is good for flat reduction of specific types of damage.
Do you feel like medium is in a better place now? Or what's the reason to not go heavy?
Not much better than before, but just a bit due to the latest changes of Heavy stamina.
Also, something better on this one is the potential for chasing down targets.
Im playing 100 str 300 dex 200 con, rapier or artifact hatchet, i think 100 str better for spear, what u think? Btw awesome videos,ty for content
Well, if it works for you, then it should be all good :)
I personally didn't try to play 100STR due to the 350DEX and both splits of 25STR/INT. In this build both weapons can be used, so the focus is not completely over the spear.

yeah, the spear/finisher build has been good for awhile now.. u see many pvpers running it. i prefer it with the hachet tho.. just more fun, with ranged throws etc

no KJ on ur spear? kinda loseing out on the extra damage from finisher
Keenly Jagged is good perk for another role of the Spear. KJ simply cannot replace any of the current perks and you are not losing any damage tbh. If you maintain the Flurry and Skewer well, you should have pretty good uptime on the bleed.
And how can i kill this build ? Impossible?
It's not hard to "kill the build". It's hard to kill a good player. This build was around and it is very good! (With different skills ofc, so there are differences here what would really work.) It's not as easy to play tho! Understanding how your skills and perks work is a must to be able to handle a 1v4 for example. There's one person who runs rapier with spear and the guy is crazy good with it. I haven't seen a single other person being good with it. Most of the people try it out, it doesn't work for them and they drop it. You see spear but no rapier. Literally, a single dude who can play as a main or 50-50 rapier. No more. It is hard to play rapier.
@@moo8698 Im meeting some spear players since a week or so & they get close to 0 dmg but making 3-4k every hit on me. Im playin med. max weight + Dark Void, 5%physical resist +15% thrust resist. +17%Fire dmg 150CON & rest INT + 48INT food buff . . . . .
@@SoldatHannes The build like @moo8698 said is amazing if you know how to play. The way to counter it is to be even better at dodging and kiting and if that's not enough you might need some friends.
Since I see you are a mage player, always know that you are not supposed to win against DEX easily. You will have to step up your game in dodges or combos, as they are usually direct counter to you.
