  • NON contrast MRI of Brachial Plexus and neurography
using multiple sequences in different planes:
CLINICAL INDICATION: post traumatic injury with inability
    to move right arm.
COMPARISON: No previous study for comparison.
    FINDINGS:
    • Pseudo-meningoceles are noted along the right neural
formaina from level of C6 to D1. This
    presentation is likely related to
traumatic avulsion of the right C6, C7
and C8 and T1 nerve roots and
    consistent with patient's history.
    • The remaining right brachial plexus
    segments (trunks, divisions and
cords) show abnormal high SI and
    buckling of the neuronal fibers.
    • The remainders of the examined trunks,
divisions and cords of the left brachial plexus appear intact
    • Abnormal high SI seen within the muscle fibers of the
right rotator cuff more appreciated in the supra-
    spinatous muscle… Denervation injury.
    IMPRESSION:
    • Findings impressive of traumatic avulsion of the right
    C6, C7, C8 and T1 nerve roots, with pseudomeningoceles
and right rotator cuff denervation injury… Pre
    ganglionic injury.
