Finally uploading this!! ♥️ While it was a 1:1 replication of my client’s design, it was also my first time making a fully cel-shaded model! I learnt a lot from it and was able to apply the new skills to the next cel-shade model I did ☺️ Still super thankful to my client (who wishes to remain anonymous) for this opportunity! It still is my best performing showcase on twitter and helped me reach so many more people who likes my work ( ∩´͈ ᐜ `͈∩)
I know you said don’t reference the way you did the hair but i LOVE how this looks. I think drill curls would have taken away from the characters whimsy✨
Aaaa thank you!!!! I just felt like the way I did it made it look too flat from the sides ;;-;; but I'm glad to hear that someone out here still likes it anyway! 💚
How do people shape the meshes grits or nets or whatever they are called this way? I really struggle with changing the shape. Is there a trick? Also this model is absolutely adorable and beautiful! Amazing work!
I'm not too sure about tricks or what you meant exactly by "this way", but I use the transform tools a lot (the 3 buttons on the top left corner under the cursor tool in Hair Edit mode) to shift the mesh around. You can also slow down my video to 0.25 or 0.5 if you want to see a particular part on how I shape meshes! And thank you!! ^^
