Hellooo!! It’s pretty sudden, huh 👀 (Disclaimer: this comment is really long if you’re gonna expand it) 2 months ago, I said in my community post that I was preparing 3.0 Kariha for my 1k sub milestone but reached it earlier than expected! It’s really late and I’m almost at 2k (THANK YOU) but here it is!!!!! I really took my time and upgraded my skills! Due to bad internet, I wasn’t able to get my face tracking to work for long periods of time so I couldn’t record a section of me explaining the Blender and Unity parts. For those who are interested: There isn’t as much to talk about regarding Blender, but I basically learnt to make some things, in this case, the phone and the butterfly deco on my shoes, and other that that I just adjusted silhouette of some clothing parts using sculpt mode. I’ve been working on learning and improving my Blender skills so that I can overcome more of the limitations of VRoid~ This time, Unity is where I spent the most time making the model look much prettier than a normal VRoid-exported VRM! As mentioned in the video, I switched out VRM’s default shader (MToon) for a different one that’s very well known in the VRC community, Liltoon shader! This is the #1 reason that my model looks higher quality than before.🥹 There’s a lot more options and fine-tuning possible with Liltoon as compared to MToon, the only downside being limited softwares that can use this shader. As VRM is the universal format for 3D models, it is a lot more convenient to use since all the relevant softwares will cater to it. However, VRM cannot use any other shaders (except for MToon and Standard). I was able to use Liltoon by converting my VRM to a Warudo character mod! This also means that I can only use it within Warudo. The limitations for now isn’t as bad since Warudo is SO versatile and there’s SO much you can do with it that I can survive with just that haha (I LOVE WARUDO) Also one thing I wasn’t really able to showcase here was Magica Cloth 2 physics! I purchased it and replaced my VRM Springbones with that ^^ As with Liltoon, Warudo supports it! It has much better collision detection and thus less clipping, but requires a lot of fine-tuning to get it to work. Even the current state of my model still has issues so it’s gonna be a long term trial and error for me! Both of these new additions are something that I’m still actively working on and experimenting with, so I hope I can achieve even better results as I grow familiar with these! But honestly none of these are really necessary, and I can achieve pretty effects by post editing on my VRM format, so it’s really all just for my self satisfaction and also to experiment with going beyond the default VRoid look! Maybe one day I’ll make more in-depth videos on these topics, but for now, this is the result of all the knowledge I gained working on VRoid comms the past 7 months & studying Unity in the last few days!✨
Great work, love to see the skill progression. "Maybe one day I’ll make more in-depth videos on these topics" this has my vote. I'd love to see a little bit more of how you get to the results you show, it's a bit difficult with the speed and things like the nda hidden parts. Regardless, well done, looks great and even more so when compared to 1.0
@@Ydnaksha Thank you!! I've also been thinking that the timelapse is a little too fast but wasn't sure whether to change it since no one feedback about it so far :") I'll make sure to adjust it from the next video onwards! Didn't think anyone would remember my ancient 1.0 XD It sure brings back memories when I compare my work!
@@kariha_moon5 I think the speed is probably just fine for this type of "showcase" video, to just see the thing being made. But i really liked your more relaxed full tutorials too (tips/hair), maybe you could experiment with something in the middle with a "speed-sculpt" style video like this one, but a bit slower, showing a bit more, and with some voice over / commentary. Just a suggestion since you mentioned feedback. As for your model i actually really liked your 1.0 too, and the evolution is so nice to see with each iteration. The 1.0 had that "my first model" charm, and the 2.0 and 3.0 showed how that base can evolve with skill and mastery, i'm at the 1.0 stage of my own so it is inspiring. Thanks for the tutorials and inspiration, wish you a great journey forward, i'll be watching.
@@Ydnaksha Thank you for the suggestion!! I actually think that's a really great idea and would love to try it out. Thank you once again for taking your time to write such a wholesome and appreciative message, it really gives me the drive to keep going with my work & content. I wish you all the best for your 1.0 stage too!
Agreed that for these kind of showcases, speed is absolutely fine! If you'd like to make a more in depth tutorial in the future though I'd be happy and excited about it: your vroid videos always help a lot in learning new things (and I think I can speak for a big part of vroid community when I say that!) I wish you an amazing journey, your new model looks fire ❤

YOU LOOK AMAZING!! The skirt movement is so cute!! Also the bouncy-ness of the phone XD The shader looks nice 👀
PANDUH!! THANK YOUUU!!! Yesss the physicssss!! And the shader is doing like 50% of the job here making my model look good XD
I LOVE the new design! :D Earphone to tie the hair where did you get this idea :O?
YAY! I once saw someone do it on their real hair on social media and thought that looks super cute!!
thats so cool!!
thank you!!
好好看
谢谢!^^
Did you model the background yourself or did you use software?
I filmed the showcase in Warudo, and the background used in the showcase is a environment available within Warudo's asset store!
Thanks
