I've seen a LOT of speedruns over the years. Barring some unexpected event, it always comes down to running the fastest lines more efficiently than anyone else. No doubt you can go even faster, though I don't envy the dozens or hundreds of tries more it'll take to get the next 10-15, maybe even 25 seconds shaved off. Having said that, this was amazing to watch. The fluidity of your movement is always a pleasure to witness.

There are possible skips left. There is a pause glitch. Found it at the ropes after the wheel. Press escape at the ropes for like 5 seconds and resume the game. The cords that otherwise hardly move suddenly fling around. Maybe this happens in other places and you can abuse momentum for huge jumps or something similar
I GENUINELY believe you can make AT LEAST 3:30! You are that good! Also you make me sad as it took me 2 days to get BACK to the first checkpoint! But then I am dealing with stupid amounts of low FPS! 😂 Keep going! I think where you do those extra little cuts in places and also where you don’t stumble you could get the seconds back. I’d say just look at some swinging jumps and shuffles where you could maybe cut out. Rooting for you man! 😁

The cool part is this is a second wr in a day, because he improves from 4:28 to 4:25 if you check the splits. Not from 4:42. And the 4:28 run had some funny commentary as how slow the run was XD
I don't know what's funner to watch a speed runner destroying a game that hasn't even bean out that long or markiplier pulling his hair out after falling in the same spot 20 times
There are a ton of spots where I just sit there like "We should really find a way to get there with the (insert hand)" In many cases you're losing seconds upon seconds of time simply because the hand you're approaching a new set of jumps with wasn't ideal. I see though that you did implement an intentional left < left hand grab over in cogs. I said "Smart" out loud because it's just way better at being ready for the rest of the gears. I believe you did it somewhere else but you're so quick that I forget. Of course, in a game like this it was apparent from the first week that hand placements would matter due to the issues that arise when (as stated) you're not in a spot where you can ideally continue without an awkward switch. I would suggest taking a peek at all of those awkward switch ups with the hands and see if u can plan ahead to avoid it. One case is early on at that weird tree before jungle. We still need someone to look into that part more. I might take this up myself with the use of this record as a template.

I think we really should start timing it down to milliseconds, at this point. This is quite optimized; really impressive for such a fresh game. My guess is: the progression of WR-s will really slow down when we hit high 3:4X
