not possible unless some sort of a glitch is found, yes he made one tiny mistake but it's only 2-3 seconds difference, this pace can't be a lot better

@@TheVladacarconsidering how the pixel perfect TAS takes two and a half minutes, a human four minutes doesn’t seem that unreachable
@@TheVladacar The general speed of the climbing can still be improved, it is where most of the improvement so far has come from, and there is still some room to improve. The barely optimized TAS gets 2:29 with an inferior route. There also are a couple of strats known that safe 1-2 seconds each, so sub 4 is definitely humanly possible even at our current knowledge. It will take some time though, but if he continues to grind and progress I would guess we might see a sub 4 in May.
@@TheVladacar There're a lot of faster but riskier skips Clark could have used, but he went for consistency instead. For example, 1 hand climb ladder is faster, but riskier. He can skip the party popper. He can skitter a lot more. He has gone under and around the rock faster at 0:11 a lot of times. He could do a double hand grip to jump directly onto the conveyor belt at 0:51. He can practice 2nd weight skip at 1:04 (extremely difficult to pull off tho, that would save 5-7 seconds). He can do the quick jump at 2:21. He can do the quick jump to skip the 2nd sandbag at 2:27. He can go directly to the right without stopping at 3:16. He can do the quick jump at 4:15. etc, etc.
A LOT of micro optimization. Clark went from 6:13 to now 4:42 without any new skips, just a TON of micro optimization. For example, 1:55 Clark moved across the electric pole a lot faster then previous runs. It's obviously riskier, but it's faster.
I'd say Clark can probably get sub 4:30 in a week. As to sub 4:00, it'd be much harder and might take months

@@KaityLove-uh6sv That's going to be an incredibly hard thing to accomplish. SM64 players have just now implemented a TAS strat into their speedruns because someone figured out the frame by frame pausing to do it... yeaaaaaaars after it was created xd

I cannot believe how the WR keeps getting smaller. It's not even being whittled like most games, it's 10-30 second slabs being torn off. It's incredible.

@@chestnut4702 yeah when the game is like 30 minutes to an hour long on the leaderboards. Games with this time frame are usually intervals of like 1-5 seconds.
It's new so people dont have the perfect technique yet so there are so many ways to improve time that still exist
Unbelievable. I wouldn't even have expected him to break the 5 minute mark. Let alone 04:42, which is not even comprehendable by me anymore. Somehow, if "feels" even crazier than the GOI WR of Blastbolt, especially considering the short period in which Clark is progressing his WR's. It's just out of this world.

I like how people were wondering if sub-5 was even humanly possible, and yet Clark is rapidly approaching the 4:30 barrier, shaving off 10+ seconds at a time.
Ive said it before and will say it again. Watching you go is truly fucking horrifying, this game is hard and you skitter over the walls at mach 2.
There are still the small fumbles but it is truly amazing how you have overcome ach and everyone of them, you are awesome.
