I remember it being in every magazine so this whole season was real. The ones after that I can’t say anything lol!

P La Who was underage? All those girls (Lauren, Heidi, Audrina, Lo, etc were 21+).
This show taught me that friends come and go out of your life when you're out of high school. I have about 2 good friends who have been there for me since day 1, while all the others have fallen away. As "fake" as The Hills was, it was definitely real when it came to that.
The show also taught me to not always put your significant other first, above friends and family. Especially if he is anything like Spencer.

Heidi is the one who ruined things by putting a blockade between her best friend and her boyfriend. She didn’t have to choose, instead she let him treat Lauren horribly without saying or doing anything, and always played the victim to Lauren. Poor Lauren just wanted her best friend, but what she got instead was the best enemy.

Now that I am older, looking back at this show I can see how much of a narcissist Spencer really was. He completely isolated Heidi and alienated her from her friends. Unfortunately Heidi chose Spencer and still does. I don't really know if Heidi ACTUALLY knew what was going on. Spencer would have denied doing anything. It is so hard to get out of the narcissist' s manipulative psychological hold they put on you.

I don’t know what he’s like behind closed doors but I was in an abusive relationship myself for a year and he moved onto another woman and they’ve been together for quite a while now. It was almost to the point where it made me question the validity of what I experienced so sometimes you have to relive the bad times to remember and verify that it wasn’t in fact you that was the problem. I think people would be surprised at how long relationships like this can go on for…it wasn’t just me. I almost died a couple times so I know it wasn’t all in my head. It upsets me a great deal knowing that this woman he’s with is probably going through the same thing. But there is nothing I can do, as a previous abuse survivor I can’t p*ss him off, I have to keep him out of my life. I hope she’s okay…

Yeah I remember everyone hated Spencer and Heidi HARD at this time, including me. Looking back I think Lauren is kind of doing the most.. the adult thing to do would be to talk it out and move on but clearly she never valued Heidi as a friend. Also Spencer and Heidi earned their money by playing it up for the cameras with pretend drama. Lauren just partied and chilled until she made enough money to leave

I’ve said this before, Lauren was always the “Star”. Ever since Laguna Beach. So many were just jealous of her and wanted to hurt her. I don’t know all the facts and what was staged and what was really real, but she’s gone on with her life and isn’t apart of “The Hills” anymore which is such a smart move. Good for you LC:) 🙋🏼✨🙌🏼

There was a few things that weren’t fake on here, and Heidi and Lauren’s drama was definitely one of them.
I miss 2007. It was such a simpler time.........
Now in 2024 a lot of people that didn’t grow up around this era think Lauren was the villain. But those of us that did, remember Spencer going on radio shows saying he seen the tape and claiming Lauren has “beef curtains”. They hurt her a lot more than saying she had a sx tape. And Heidi was just a weirdo for sticking with a guy that was saying that stuff about her friend.

@@KristenGoulette1995 Justin told Audrina that he hooked up with Lauren. Audrina asked Lauren about it and Lauren flat denied it. Lauren thought that Audrina shouldn't have had to even ask, but once she did that it would be over. Given all the times Justin had lied and treated Audrina horribly vs Lauren having always been a good friend. BUT Audrina just couldn't get past it and kept asking over and over to the point that Lauren felt like she was being accused or like Audrina didn't believe her so Lauren was understandably upset. Audrina confronted her one night at a club, similar to Heidi, and Audrina said something like you're doing to me what you did to Heidi. That was the line that killed it. Lauren said, no you're worse than Heidi.

Honestly Lauren seemed controlling. She didn’t like Spencer and tried to force Heidi to dump him by giving her ultimatums and kicking her out of their friend group after playing the victim. Lauren isn’t friends with any of the Hills Girls anymore (none of them really seemed to maintain their friendships) and Heidi has been married to Spencer for over a decade and has a family with him. I don’t like Spencer, but clearly Heidi made the right choice for herself

I dont agree w this. I had the same situation happen w a friend in high school, her bf was an ASSHOLE towards me completely and made up a horrible rumor about me to the school and she went along with it as well. I believe he did it because I was the one that warned her not to date him. He was an abusive narcissist. When it affects you personally, you can’t be friends anymore. Regardless if you want to be. Heidi changed when she got with Spencer, and Lauren made the right decision to cut off their friendship. Some people love toxicity and drama.
They are equally insane. Didn't think Heidi would fall into some thing like that. Spencer is a sociopath. Easy for people in turmoil to fall for, and his characteristics look for that and build on it. I don't think she's a bad mom whatsoever but I think she is incredibly controlled and manipulated to be this "person" that has no flaws.
